These are Relics:

History and Features

Relics are ancient former humans. Once, a Celtic tribe under the name of Cian lived on this mountain. A drought struck, causing immeasurable pain and suffering. In desperation, the tribe began to drink from a pool in an abandoned shrine that seemed almost natural. When those who drank awoke, they'd begun to change in form. The tribe decided it would be best to simply embrace these changes, and drank more, bathed, and protected the pool. In a single generation, the entire tribe became Relics.

Relics are not born, they are created. They fall under being agender for this reason, although masculine and feminine traits exist. A relic is created twice a month, once on the waxing half moon and once on the waning half moon.
Features of Relics are:
6 legs, with the ability to be generally bipedal or quadrupedal.
A hair-like mane.
Masks.
No pupils.
Horns.
Rounded ears.
A very short nub tail.
Large stature (7 to 9 feet tall).
Telepathic communication as well as noises, such as rumbles.

These features can change with rarity. Rarity is dictated by Following, which is your Relic's career of sorts.

Rarity and Followings

Each Relic is created with a Following planned. Followings allow for your Relic to acquire unique items, quests, and occasionally companion Relics. Rarity is decided by Following, and can shift features of your Relic at creation.

Rules

There are, of course, rules for this species!
I. Relics of Cian are a CLOSED SPECIES. Please do NOT use the lines without a MYO slot.
II. You may have up to 6 Relics at a time. If you wish to have a new Relic, but own 6, you must allow one to become a Wanderer. Becoming a Wanderer leaves the Relic up for being found on a Quest by another player. Wanderers count as Relics, Companions do not.
III. Do not edit the designs of your Relic(s). They are specific to each.
IV. Do not sell your Relic for C$, pets, etc. If you wish to sell your Relic, or trade Relics with another player, please PM me and I will sort out the swap/sale. This is also so I can keep track of all the Relics and their owners.
V. Do not draw Relics without their masks without having bought a Mask Reveal. Mask Reveals are only to be done by me, as each Relic has a unique face that corresponds with their Following and Rarity.
VI. If you post them onto other websites, please credit me!
VII. Do not spam the thread. Only post replies to Quests or Events, discussion about Events and the species is also allowed but please do not make it a focus.
VIII. Do not post applications if they are not open!
IX. You may have up to 3 Relics Questing at a time. and they must be in different Areas.
X. If you have questions, PM them to me rather than posting in the thread. If I'm asked about something a lot, I'll make an F.A.Q.

Items and Their Uses
> Torch Candle (Red): A one hour burning candle. Can be used to light up caves, in Summonings, or to aid bonding with Companions.
> Potion of Minor Fear: A potion that, when ingested or splashed onto someone, causes a short-term panic. It will make some small creatures run away.

Relic Ownership Application and Fee
Relics require spiritual strength to be put forth for creation. A single very strong soul can bring one, or many weaker souls can. It is also said if you drop a lucky coin or memorabilia into the pool, you may get something special...

Base Price (Will Get a Relic With a Following Between Fire Tend and Lookout):

5 Uncommons (Pre-2018 or WL)
20 Commons (Pre-2018 or WL)
+ Add WL items or some C$ and I'll add something special to your Relic!

Advanced Price (Will Get a Relic With a Following Between Fire Tend and Pooltend):
2 Rares (Pre-2016 or WL)

Defined Price (Will Get a Relic of YOUR PICK in Following):

This is a beautiful map etched onto the stump of an ancient tree that fell long, long ago. Use it to go on Quests!

Rusted Forest
The Rusted Forest is at the base of the mountain, surrounding it. With the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that can be seen here, it's a popular relaxation spot for the Relics. It seems to be in a state of near-perpetual Autumn, as the leaves never change but also never fall. A strange place indeed.

Foghorn Highlands
The Foghorn Highlands are thicker section of the mountain, higher than the Rusted Forest. Here, there is an abundance of water,
in every form. From rivers to bogs to rain. It's always damp, but that leaves it full of life.

Scorch-Mist Woodland
The Scorch-Mist Woodland is a dreary place to find oneself. Legend says a fire once swept across this area of the mountain, and the flames grew so hot they melted the snow from the top and instead it sunk into here. A place where things never grow and the sun never seems to show.

Emerald Peak
The Emerald Peak is at the very top of the mountain, and is hard to reach if you aren't suited to the paths leading there. It's a paradise or sorts. The strangest animals and more unique plants are all here, things humans have never laid eyes on. This is where the pool and shrine reside.

Forgotten Caverns
The Forgotten Caverns are a sinister place. Many avoid them. No one dares enter them, not deep. Something about them is simply... Wrong. Be careful here.

Quests
Quests are trips based around your Relic's Following. They range from 1 day to 1 week, the more time taken allowing for higher chances of things happening or being found. This is in REAL TIME. A 1 day trip means 1 full real life day. On Quests, five things can happen.

I. Find items! As simple as it sounds. Anything you find, you keep.
II. Discover a new Area! This is uncommon, but sometimes, Relic's will find new places to explore for the future! Discovering a new Area allows the discoverer to revisit the next 2 times with an exploration bonus, meaning you have higher chances of finding better items or discovering a companion Relic or Wanderer.
III. Bring back items to help the Tribe! Random Events can happen. Minor ones are Situations, while major ones are Calamities. These will happen, and they can be bad! It's very possible for Relics to get sick, injured, run out of food, or more! Yes, Relics can die! While the chances of that are very low, it's possible. During these Random Events, Questing can help save the Tribe by bringing much needed supplies home.
IV. Bond with companion Relics! Companion Relics are Relics that never were given a Following, and thus gave themselves the Following of Companion. Companion Relics, if found, bond with the Relic who found them and will never leave their side. If bonded with enough time, Companion Relics may offer the option for a romantic relationship.
V. Breeding! No one wants to be in a village full of others when they want alone time with their partner. If a Relic and Companion are bonded enough and go Questing together, there's the chance they'll breed. This is quite rare, as Relics are not meant to breed and only certain individuals have the ability to. Companions always do.
