Vallarae Majalis, simply known as Vallarae, are a musk deer related species capable of magical abilities. They reside in a dense deciduous forest filled with flowers and riddled with limestone caverns. They require no camouflage, as they roll in lily of the valley flowers, a highly poisonous flower, to keep predators at bay. Females are often referred to as mothers and males fathers, even if they bear no children as the magic these deer wield always relates to nature and life. Vallarae help keep the forest alive, capable of bringing new plants to life and giving dying plants the energy to live. There are distinct differences between the males and females. Large antlers sprout from the females' skulls, and they have a long tail created from hair similar to that of a horse. Males, on the other hand have tusks protruding from their mouths, and have a thin tail, with tuft of fur at the end. It is also very common to see males with some type of smooth horn structure rather than antlers (you will never see a male with antlers).
The temperament of both males and females have been found to be very calm and aware. It has never been seen to find a Vallarae with the intent to harm unless in defence of itself or others. They are very friendly and caring creatures and serve to nature's every whim. They often will die trying to keep the forest alive, as their magical abilities are limited. A large tree, or patch of plants or flowers then sprouts from their carcass to live on in the forest.

This is where you can find all of the artist pre-made adopts. There will be a new batch at least every week,
if not more. Each batch will hold 2-5 Vallarae. Batches are most often raffles, but may be fcfs, have forms or question
attached to them, or whatever else our artists can think of! They will always be free from this section! Only
events will result in auctions or other paid Vallarae.
Sometimes Vallarae will be released without gender markers! You may choose gender at these points. Horns/antlers will be choosen at random or if the artist wishes, you will be given the option to choose
Only Vallarae the result of breedings will have baby forms. Though that is subject to change later.

Vallarae use Celestite, a geode crystal, as currency. It's the geode found least commonly in their caves,
making it the most valuable. This means they don't need to use much at a time in order to purchase items from
the merchant.

Give it to a loved one in hopes of breeding.
Used for a couple breeding between two Vallarae.
Results in 1-3 foals.

Stunning Bouquet - 20 celestite - # in stock
This bouquet is even more extravagant than the last,
but that's just what you need to impress two partners!
Used for a poly breeding between three Vallarae.
Will result in 2-4 foals with two males involved,
or 2-6 foals with two females.

The water from Evund waterfall is thought to bring
fertility to those who drink from it.
Will raise number of foals in a breeding from 1-3 to 3-5

Here is where you breed your Vallarae. Vallarae present each other with a bouquet of flowers when they wish to breed. The typical breeding is between a male and female but poly breedings do occur where the third Vallarae may be of any gender. Each female may birth one-three foals, so if your poly breeding has two females they may potentially end up with six foals. A poly breeding will result in an extra foal no matter if the third parent is male or female (so the minimum foals would be two), although females have potential to add a greater number of foals.
Owners of the bred Vallarae will get first pick of the foal they want. Any remaining foals will be put up for adoption.
*If there are different owners for each Vallarae a foal will be created for each owner to have.

Breeding uses up bouquets. There are two separate bouquets, one for a couple breeding and one for poly. Only one bouquet is needed per breeding.
Additional items may be used to create a larger number of foals, mutations, etc.
After the Vallarae are bred you may use a ___ to keep a second foal from the breeding.

Each artist opens their slots separately. So there is a chance breedings may be open all the time.

Through the magic of multiple "god" Vallarae they can create new Vallarae with specific traits to your liking. Bringing a new being to life takes up a lot of their energy, and they try to fit everything the owner wishes for into each one, at a cost to keep their magic flowing.
Customs can be purchased through the store, customs with more edits are more expensive.

Events will be held throughout the year on holidays and other lore related times. Events will give out Vallarae, items, and Celestite and you will have the opportunity to win Vallarae with rare or new traits.
Each event will be hosted and held differently.
Make sure to read all of the rules and objectives for events before participating in them!

Each position earns a bonus for joining the staff, and will be mentioned to those who join.


Artists are required to make batches at least every other week. On top of that they must be able to do breedings and customs, which they have to open at least once a month. They must be comfortable working with pixels.

Moderators are required to keep spam and arguments to a minimum. They must be knowledgable in all aspects of the species as they are expected to answer questions that arise. Becoming a moderator means you will keep track of both this thread and the fanclub.
