Hello, and welcome to the new and improved dragon adopts.
You can view our old thread here.
Dragon adopts was started on July 30th, 2010, and was the first dragon adoption center on Chickensmoothie.
It was also the first to use Tokens.

Now, before you can start adopting, we must go over a few things.

Rules:
- All site rules apply
- No spamming
- No whining or complaining about how you missed a pair
- Do not post a form for customs or adoptions when the title says closed
- Respect everyone
- Please don't steal the line arts

F.A.Q.

Q: How do I adopt?
A: You can adopt by filling out the form in the Adopting center when there is pets in the pound or a pair up.

Q: How many dragons can I have?
A: You can have only 1 growing dragon at a time, but unlimited adult dragons.

Q: Can I become a moderator/artist?
A: No. When I am looking for a moderator/artist, I will have an application up.

Q: I posted a form! Why didn't I get an egg?
A: You either didn't fill out the form correctly, or someone posted before you.

Q: Can I reserve an egg?
A: No. You have to post the form when the pound/adoptions are open.

Species and Subspecies
Here is where you can find the species of dragons!

Common Dragons
Common Dragons are the most common of dragons. They can live in almost any climate and anywhere. They have no specific color variation, so they are all very unique. Common dragons can only breed once a month at the most. They are usually very friendly, but females can get nasty after they have there eggs. Their diet consists of smalls mammals.

Aquatic Dragons
Aquatic dragons can usually be found in water. No, you can't go in your pond outback and look for one. Aquatic dragons live in vast oceans, and only oceans. Most of the breathe salt water. Aquatic dragons have two front legs, and a tail replacing it;s two back legs. It has a fin ending it's tail. Aquatic dragons are uncommon, but can be found often. There colors vary in blues, greens, grays, and purples. They can breed up to 3 times a month at the most. Aquatic dragons are unusually small, their length ranging from 8-12 feet at the largest. Their diet manly consists of fish and shellfish.

Feathered Dragon
The feathered dragon, flying high in the skies of the mountains. Long talons tip their toes, a display of feathers at their tail-tip. Their wings are covered with feathers. Feisty creatures these are. Their color variety are shades of gold, brown, white, and gray. The Feathered Dragon's main diet is small mammals, and birds. This dragon is uncommon.

Lava Dragon
Lava dragons size varies, depending on the density of the lava its made out of. Their colors are red, yellow, and orange. It's wings are bones, lava dripping from them, a flame topping it off. Lava dragons are rare, only given to dragon adopters that have more than one dragon.

Adoptions
Here is where you can find dragon pairs. When a pair is put up, they have a certain ammount of eggs that can be adopted by the public.
Dragons usually grow to there next stage within 5 days to a week, and are full grown at about 2 weeks old.

Adoption Rules
- You can only have 1 growing dragon at a time
- You cannot call/reserve a dragon
- Please be fair. You cannot edit your adoption form
- You must fill out the form
- You can only adopt one dragon a day

Breeding
Here is where you can breed two of your dragons.
Please note that the number of eggs from pair to pair vary from 3 to 5.
When breeding, the owner of the female dragon gets to choose one of the eggs. If they do not respond within 1 day, the egg will be put of for adoption.

Breeding rules
- Depending on the breed of dragon, they have certain lengths of time before their next breeding
- You cannot breed the same dragon in 2 different pairs
- No fighting over who gets the egg

Customs
Here is where you can order customs!

Custom rules:
- Fill out the correct form
- Don't rush me
- Send payment as soon as your form is accepted
- Don't say 'Look through my pets!'. I will ignore your form

Payment:
VR from 2008 will get you: Unlimited customs
VR from 2009 or 2010 will get you: 4 custom dragons
Rare WL will get you: 2 customs
Rare non-WL will get you: 1 custom
Any ammount in uncommons will get you the same custom ammount accept for the VR's
