Welcome to Kanvu adopts!
Thank you for taking the time to check out this
closed species free adopts, where users can adopt as
many Kanvus as they would like. [Kan.vu][kan.vu.sis]

What is a Kanvu?:

A child often dreams about mythical creatures,
and fantastical worlds, their imagination taking
them to places they can never go. A Kanvu is a
mythical species, created not by the works of
science, but by the hands of nature herself. A
Kanvu comes from the depths of someones
imagination- YOUR imagination, where magic is
at its finest. If you believe in magic, then Kanvus
are for you.

How does Kanvu magic work?

A Kanvus personality is defined by
the colour of the Kanvus orb/stones
located on their shoulders and tail.
Their magic exists in their personality,
and how you wish to find out depends
on how you treat your Kanvus. In
first generation Kanvus, Orbs
can be any shade or tone of a single
solid color (no gradient) and must in
some way reflect the Kanvuses
personality. When First generation
Kanvus breed, they create second gen
Kanvus, which can inherit one, or both
of the parents personalities, creating
mixed colour orbs, or gradient orbs.

GENERAL RULES:

Respect:
You must respect all members of the kanvu community. That includes fellow adopters, artists, mods, and all staff. All Cs rules apply.

Limitations:
You are free to adopt as MANY kanvus as you would like to adopt, however unless you are a Kanvu staff member, you are only permitted to own TWO Kanvu customs. Custom information will be available in the near future. upon successful adoption, the kanvu is now YOUR character. feel free to order art/more...etc

Theft:
Any and ALL art theft regarding the lines, artists' designs...etc will NOT be tolerated, and will be reported. The thief will be banned from adopting Kanvus in the future. If by any chance you catch a art thief in action, please send me or any mod/ the victim of the art theft, the proof and the user and we will deal with it right away.

STAFF:
The staff is a group of hard working people, who work hard to create lovely adoptables.
If you have any questions regarding these adopts, these guys are the place to go. Drop them a
pm anytime. These busy bees are the heart and blood of Kanvu adopts. Without them, there
wouldn't be lovely releases every week for you to adopt. A tip to the hardworking artists is not
required, but very much appreciated to thank them for their hard work c:

HIRING:
Sometimes, we need an extra hands or two, to keep the adopts running when times are busy. At times like this, we will be looking for, and hiring staff to fulfill duties while other staff might be busy C; Here are your responsibilities as part of the staff:

Mods:
As a mod, you are to make sure every adopter follows Kanvu and CS rules when adopting. If rules are broken, kindly remind the user with a PM. If rules are broken two times, the user will earn a strike. IN that case, PM me to let me know. It is your responsibility to see to it, that no adopters violate any CS rules and Kanvu adoption rules.

ARTISTS:
As an artist, it is your responsibility to create 1 (ONE) adoptable per week, unless there is a reason you cannot. Artists have the right to see to it how they would like to raffle off their adopts, with forms or writing comps, HOWEVER ALL adopts must be FREE of costs to adopters, meaning artists CANNOT sell their designs for cs pets or currency. Tips are provided by adopters who enjoy the work of an artist. It is YOUR RIGHT as an artist, to refuse an adopter, or take a Kanvu BACK from an adopter if they violate any of the Kanvu adoption rules. WE ARE CURRENTLY HOLDING ARTIST COMPS. LINK

Our head archivist is pidge, if you would like to be an archivist for the Kanvus, please message pidge for details. As an Archivist, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to update the thread with new releases and adopters of Kanvus. Archiving is an important job, and we thank you in advance if you would like to check it out.

Adoption Rules:

TIMING:
Timing is important for adopting and adoptables. Artists release 1 (one) adoptable each week, and forms will be provided to those interested in adopting a certain Kanvu. Prettying up is allowed, art is allowed, and extras are all allowed to make the form more appealing. However quality over quantity is preferred. Judging and announcing takes place ONE NIGHT (24 hours) away from the next release of Kanvus. TIMING is very important, make sure to check back! if you win a kanvu, but fail to claim it in under 24 hours unless stated otherwise busy, the kanvu will be given to someone else.

CLAIMING:
a Kanvu becomes yours after successful adoption, HOWEVER the design and art IS NOT YOURS. You are free to decide the fate of a Kanvu, but not free to claim the art and design of one as yours. Kanvus are made in the cs oekaki, and adoptors will be added to the board by artists.you must credit artists if taking offsite.

TRADING/DISOWNING
you CANNOT sell a kanvu for cs currency or off site currency, but you can trade/swap it for other characters and other Kanvus. When no longer feeling attached to a certain kanvu, you can send them off to the Kanvu Pound, to be placed in a different home. Pound info below.

your rights to a kanvu:
- allowed for role-playing
-allowed for trading
- allowed to make minor changes/add to design ON SEPARATE CANVAS
- allowed to breed kanvu (breeding info will be AVAILABLE soon)

CUSTOMS & GIFTS
Custom coins are VERY RARE, and are awarded to long-term staff and artists of the community, as well as long term adopters, as a gift of appreciation. A custom coin can be made into a custom, or used to create custom changes. All staff are awarded with 2 coins, (you can keep it, or gift it to friends or hold raffles and raffle them off.) Artists are awarded with one extra coin, for every 10 successful adopts they create. You cannot sell coins for cs currency, but you can raffle them, trade them, swap them for other adoptables, kanvus..etc

last res, free to post/mark- i have question, what is a good cropping site? If i just put a transparent oekaki image here, it displays the whole canvas (leaves alot of space because its on transparent, but the space is useless, can't type iun it, looks akward.) How do i fix that?
