Gem ferrets are a genetic mutation of the familiar ferrets we know, characterized by their three sets of legs and the gem in the center of their forehead (which always matches their eyes). Gem ferrets are sweet and friendly, and love human interaction. In the wild, they can't survive for very long as their extra legs make them clumsy and the gem on their head throws them off balance. But in captivity, where they are loved and cared for, they thrive.








General Rules:
• Follow all CS rules
• Don't steal art
• Do not use gem ferrets outside of CS
• Do not use gem ferrets that don't belong to you
• Do not remove links from the ferret codes you are given
• You cannot have more than 8 ferrets at a time (this includes kits and customs)

Currency

The currency we use is gems . Gems can be used to purchase custom gem ferrets, or a breeding slot. Pets and C$ can be exchanged for gems, but I only accept pets on my wishlist. If you want to get gems, please send me a trade specifying that it is for this. If there is no message, I will take it as a gift. The conversions go as follows:

Adoption Center

Players can own up to eight gem ferrets at a time. Ferrets that are no longer wanted cannot be resold; instead, you must pm me, and the ferret will be put into the gem ferret pound. Gem ferrets generally come in litters ranging from three to seven kits; however, the litters that are put up for adoption are not usually juvenile. Often, they are adults that are being brought into captivity.



The adults are characterized by their upright stature and standing ears. Kits find it hard to stand, and their ears droop as they are too heavy to support themselves yet. Additionally, sometimes gem ferrets are mutated even further, which shows in their tails. Their tails can either be doubled, or bobbed. Sometimes, these ferrets will appear in litters, but they aren't very common at all.

Breeding

Gem ferrets are genderless, so any two adult ferrets could be bred together; however, kits cannot be bred. You can breed two of your own ferrets, or two players can agree to breed their ferrets together. In the latter event, I need a pm from each participating player confirming that permission has been given. Participating players can also only participate in breedings once a month. The litters range from 3-8 kits,and each participating player can pick one kit to keep, or if a single breeder, you can keep two. The others will be sold. These kits don't grow up, but if you want to make a kit into an adult or vice versa, you can purchase one of the potions in the shop.

Breeding costs 75 normally, 100 if one ferret is custom and 125 if they both are custom. If you are breeding with another player, you must decide the costs between yourselves; I don't take a given amount from both. Breeding takes approximately three days. Adopting Bred Kits

Once the breeders have picked their kits, the other kits go up for sale for anyone to buy. The price varies depending on the parents, and will be specified below the litter. Note: if it doesn't specifically state that the remaining kits are up for sale, then the breeders haven't chosen their kits yet.

Pound

The pound is where gem ferrets go when they have been given up or abandoned, but can be given a second chance. As long as you have less than eight ferrets already, you can adopt a ferret from the pound! Since the ferrets here have been abandoned already before, it's a little harder to get these than it is to get them from the normal litters. You will have to pay a small fee of 20 and prove that you really want them and will really care for them. The form to adopt is below:
