Wow! Who knew that such interesting hybrids existed? Well, apparently we do! ButterFish are half butterfly, half fish; Minnow, to be exact. Could this get any better? Why, yes, it can! ButterFish don't just come with traditional butterfly patterns, they change! There are real-species ButterFish, but there are also Rainbow ButterFish with patterns never seen before!
So hey, why not stay a while and get a few for yourself? It'll definitely be worth it!

You remember when I said that there were tons of types of ButterFish? Well, I wasn't lying. Here, the different types of discovered ButterFish are sorted by rarity. Right now, only a few of the discovered subspecies are completely understood, but research about others is happening as we speak!

I did say that you could stay and get some ButterFish of your own… This is where you can do that! And no, there are no attachments. ButterFish do need to keep their skin wet, but you can manage that. Otherwise, just remember that you can only adopt one ButterFish per litter, and you can only adopt one FCFS ButterFish per day! Now, onto the ButterFish!

Breeding, you say? Yes, it is true, ButterFish can breed! (Obviously) Here's bit of info on how this happens;
ButterFish usually breed in the spring, but it is possible to have them breed in other seasons as well, with the help of a Love Potion. By using a Love Potion on a male and female ButterFish, you can have them breed at any time of the year! There is always a small chance that the chosen pair will breed naturally, and you won't have to use a potion, but the chances are very small. In the spring, this chance boosts a bunch, so it's always the best season for breeding!
If you breed your ButterFish, you get to pick one to keep, or, by paying 80 Blossoms, two! The rest go up for adoption. There are usually two to five ButterFish in each clutch.
The current season is Spring.

Here at the ButterFish adoption centre, Blossoms are our currency. Why, you ask? Mostly because the ButterFish really like eating them, but also because they're pretty. Anyway, you can trade pets for Blossoms. Here is a chart to show what you would get for your pets;

When you're trading for Blossoms, be sure to let me know. I don't want to mistake it for a gift or a trade suggestion!

Yep, customs are a thing. By selectively breeding certain traits into one ButterFish, it has been made possible to create a ButterFish any way one could want. Here, you can get your own! The base prize for a custom in 100 Blossoms. To add an uncommon feature, it's 20 more Blossoms. For a rare feature, it's 50 more, and for a very rare feature, it's 80. And yes, that is correct; common features are free!
