The Ringburgen Stock Horse was first bred in Texas, but also England. They had sought to make the perfect sporting horse in England, for Eventing, but after much breeding, they were unsuccessful and all there 462 horses were shipped to Texas to be bred for Western events. In 2001 they were officially a breed of America. They were named after their Breeder, Ringburgen, who actually came from England, but came to Texas to continue breeding this western horses. At last, in 2006, they were bred with Quarter Horses, and Appaloosas to finish the breed. They have varieties of colors, from Common, Black and Chestnut, to dilutes and roans. They often are found and bred with Overo, Tobino and Splash patterns, with Appaloosa markings aw well. Pearl is also well known, and Dun is very common as well. They are A very stocky breed, with big muscled and short legs, perfect for the western pleasures and Barrel Racing. But as of the present, England has again, begun to try and bred horses off of this breed, to make a perfect sporting type for English events.
