♞BASICS: Roche horses, which are actually ponies are very short and muscular. Roche horses were breed very particularly, using Clydesdales, Fjords, Mongolian ponies, and a bit of Jutland. A lot of breeding has been done on these horses over time to get these cute little Roche horses here. Fjords and Mongolian ponies were used most to give the Roche a compact build, strong body, and good natured disposition. While every now and then Roches exceed 14.5 hands, they don't get much larger then 16.5. Clydesdales and Jutlands were breed in to give it a more stronger and muscular body, more Fjords being breed in to keep the size small still. Through all this breeding Roches have managed to come out with very good stamina, a good disposition, and very heavily built body. Because of this, they were commonly used for draft work and as war horses as they could go for very long at constant speeds. This made traveling with them very easy as they had a lot of strength reserves and are able to last longer then other breeds with less food. They tend to be used in colder climates, ranging from north America to Canada and then Alaska. They have also been used in different parts of Europe like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Poland.
♞COLORING AND PATERNS: Roches tend to have very dark colors, and will sometimes come in lighter brows, duns, and greys. Roches tend to have paint, pinto, and brindle markings most often. While some may have a bit of dappling or spotting they are more uncommon colors and patterns they have.
♞RARITY: Rarity on Roches is dictated by design, coloring, and main length and type. These vary from horse to horse. The things that will effect rarity the most is design and coloring. The main and tails of these horses range from short to slightly medium length. As of currently there are only three different styles, though more will be added in the future.
