The shop is currently closed at this time, I am unhappy with the format as it is and want to work on it a bit, and since it seems to be slow here anyway, I figured I would just close down while I work on it. Please do not post any forms for anything at this time, thanks.


This is Luminette, the mascot of the shop and an example of what you will find within the Lake of Lore! All Merfolk come with this tiny starter tank, but can be upgraded to larger tanks from the shop.

I am looking to hire an artist who is experienced and can do more than simple coloring. I can mostly only do simple coloring and need someone who can do more for special raffle litters and for holidays and such.
If you would like to apply, please PM me with the following things, do NOT post it here!

Tell me how much time you spend on CS a day and how often you can do litters. I really don't need a lot of them, just like maybe one a month and special designs for holidays and such. But will gladly take more to stock pile for future use! Show me some examples of pixel art you have done and list references of other places you do art for on CS. I would also like if you would color a merfolk or two from the lines below so I can see what you would do with them, but please do not make any line edits.

IMPORTANT
The mermaids ARE gender specific, females have a tube top and males have no top. Do NOT try to claim a female with a tube top as a male or vice versa! Anyone caught using their mermaid as a different gender than what it is WILL receive a warning! If you are ever uncertain, just ask!

The displays below are to indicate the different tail types, they can all be both genders, I just only displayed one of each.

Litter Rules

Litters will be a mix of first come first serve, raffles and contests, so please pay attention to which it is. If it is a fcfs, then please check past posts for what has already been claimed.

Raffle litters will usually only have 4-6 Merfolk in them and will have only ten spots per Merfolk. You may NOT edit your form to a different number, so choose carefully the first time. You may only enter for one per litter. These are completely random, so please do not try to spiffy up your form, just use the form supplied as is, any changes made will disqualify you.

The fcfs litters will have around 10-12 Merfolk. If you notice you asked for a number already picked by someone else, you MUST quote your form with the new selection, edited posts will not be accepted! You may only get one per litter. Please use the form as is, do not make any changes or your form will be ignored.

Contests will generally be for special occasions such as holidays and will only incude 1-3 mermaids. They will be form contests where I will judge entries based on creativeness and your answers to the form questions. For these you may alter the form in any way you wish, however you will still need to make sure you include all the requested information and follow any rules specified for each contest.

The Merfolk currency is gold, you will need it to purchase things from the shop and for breeding. If you would like to purchase some gold, just send a trade and put in the message that you are purchasing gold.

Here is where you can purchase larger tanks, decorations and other things for your Merfolk.

TANKS

small tank=100g (holds up to 2 merfolk)

large tank=200g (holds up to 4 merfolk)

DECORATIONS
these are only for the small and large tanks that can be purchased, not for the starter tanks.
keep in mind that only so many decorations can fit into one tank, if your order is too large I may have to ask you to leave out a few things.

Plantlife=10g each

grassy patch/algae arch/tall weed/short weed/ball plant/firework flower/star flower/small flower
(you may specify any color for the ball plant and all 3 flowers)

Sand Items=15g each

starfish/gold clam/silver clam/crab
(you may specify any color for the starfish)

(fish school is a set of 4, you may specify any color for all pets except the turtle)

Toys=30g each

swim loop/sand castle/sunken ship
(you may specify a flag color on the sunken ship)

BARBER SHOP

It costs 50g to change the hairstyle.
New style will have the same color as previous style.
You may purchase Hair Dye to change the color on an existing style or a new style

Here you can breed your Merfolk, there are two types of breeding available and only three tanks in each section, so please be sure one is available before posting a form. Breedings produce 1 to 2 offspring, but can have more if you use potions from the shop.

Please make sure you have the funds for the type of breeding you are choosing and that you have the potions you are wanting to use, or send the trade for the funds and potions immediately after posting the form.

Breeding Tanks
Cost=200g
These are for merfolk of opposite genders only




DNA Breeding Tanks
Cost=300g
These are for merfolk of the same gender only
this breeding costs a bit more due to the cost of special DNA water
These special DNA waters will take the genetics of each parent and produce offspring,
however, the offspring will ALWAYS be the same gender as the parents,
unless you purchase a special DNA potion from the shop

There are a few different ways Merfolk could end up here, these are just some of the ways, but is not limited to these...

1. an owner decides they no longer want their pets and give them up to the pound.
2. leftovers from a litter that did not get claimed.
3. banned users and inactive users who have had their pets taken away.
4. extras from breeding.

These are NOT first come first serve. I want to make sure they go to good homes since they have had a rough start by ending up here! Therefore you will need to answer some questions and I will decide who gets to take them home.

Each one may have different requirements for the user to meet, so please be sure to read all information for each tank!

Anyone can adopt these, but only one per person!
I will be keeping a list of forms for each tank until I decide who the merfolk will go home with.
