Idolias are categorized by their rarity (picture above)
The true names of each category are a mystery, but we have found additional excerpts from the "The Journey to The Crystalline" in a foreign language. Hopefully information regarding this can be found from the (soon to be completed) translation of the text.

↪ typical tier
Idolias usually found through exploring are in this tier.

→ very common: very average in size (around 4 to 5 feet). usually dull in colour. seen in different shades of brown and beige.
→ common: vary more in size, largest being 6 feet and smallest is 3 feet. bright and vivid in colour.

↪ atypical tier
Most uncommons need to be synthesized, however, some rares and very rares have been spotted when exploring but they do not stay for long.

→ uncommon: similar to common in size and colour, but can grow (small) horns.
→ rare: can grow up to 7 feet tall. they always have an "aura" about them... can also grow horns but it is not a trait exhibited in all rares.
→ very rare: vary the most in size, and can range from half a foot to 10 feet (my guess from the footprint I found the other day). they also have auras but far more powerful ones compared to rares.

↪ almighty tier
The rarest and most powerful Idolias. Unfortunately we barely have any data on them.

→ god: one of a kind, and extremely powerful. it is unknown how to obtain one but it may be to possible achieve through synthesis.
→ banned: insufficient data

Research shows that not all Idolia are present throughout they year. Sometimes they're present for only a very short period of time and then poof! Where'd they go? Their presence is split into 3 categories.
↪ Eternal (premade)

Always present throughout the year.

↪ Fleeting (limiteds)

Only around for a period time. Sometimes they never come back again.

↪ Unique (one-of-a-kind)

Caught by that one lucky person.

There are many ways to obtain an Idolia but the most common are:
↪ Buying one through the shop.

More expensive but are usually unique and rare-very rare.

↪ Catching one when exploring.

Widest variety of Idolias in terms of rarity. Some are free and some need crystals to be caught.

↪ Synthesizing one.
