What are Parakins?

Parakins are small, rabbit-esque creatures that inhabit the same island as Loaf Cats. However, this species is much more diverse and populated, making them good for being pets.

RULES

1. Follow Tess' rules.
2. Don't be rude to anyone on this thread.
3. No spam.
4. ADOPT ONE PER RELEASE. Litters will be released as soon as I have enough to make a sizeable litter.
5. Due to their rarity, you may only have 4 Aquatics.
6.DO NOT CLAIM THE SPECIES AS YOUR OWN.
7. Be patient for a litter/breeding/custom!

-They are very light; their tails account for half of their body weight.
-They speak through telepathy.
-THEY CANNOT GET WET! The aerial and land ones have a high risk of illness if they are wet. Aquatic ones will not get sick as they live in water. However, they WILL get sick if exposed to air for too long. Keep the aquatic ones in a fishtank or pond.
-Their third eye rarely opens; if it does their mental state gets strained. Afterward, their mind goes into a state of 'psychosleep' to recover, meaning they cannot communicate.
-Their third eye's color is the opposite color of the main eye color. If they have heterochromia, the third eye color is the opposite of the left eye's color.
-There are three types; Land, Aerial, and Aquatic. Land is the most common, Aerial is rarer, and Aquatic is the rarest.
-Aquatics are built for living in solely water. They are less fluffy, and have gills and webbed feet.
-Aerials' wings can vary in size.
-Their colour scheme can be any type of colour scheme.
-The land ones are the friendliest, and are the best choice to keep as pets. Aerial ones may also be good pets, but require a lot of space for flying.
-Their diet consists of mainly veggies, but will also eat sweets. Meat is a no. The way they consume them is unknown.
-Aquatics must be kept in large tanks/pools/ponds.
-Babies can be produced by any type of couple. Male/Male, Male/Female, Female/Female, and even polyamorus relationships.
-They are very loyal to their mates/owners.
-Parakins DO have mouths, however, they are not seen when they are not eating. It is located on the neck.
-DON'T SHAVE THEIR TAILS!! Their tails are used for both balance and warmth.
-They enjoy string toys like cats do.
-They CAN develop mutations.
-They are the size of a domestic house cat at their adult stage.

BREEDING RATIOS

Each type, when bred with another of its type, will produce offspring of the same type. ((The exception is Aquatics; if you own four, they will produce normal parakin offspring.))
Land, when bred with Aerials, will have a 50/50 chance of either type.
Land, when bred with Aquatics, will have a 75/25 chance of either type.
Aerials, when bred with Aquatics, will have a 75/25 chance of either type.

Permanent child Parakins cannot breed.

Clutches will usually have 2-5 offspring.

Mutations have a 25% chance of passing to one of the offspring. Chances increase if both (or all) parents have the same mutation.

A land parakin with one or two mutations or an aerial with no mutations is a 2013 rare.
An aerial parakin with mutations is a 2011-2012 rare.
An aquatic parakin is a 2011 rare.
An aquatic parakin with mutations is a very rare from any year.
