Welcome!

Sighthounds is an canine adoptable based on real sighthound breeds- such as borzois, salukis, and greyhounds. It is competitive based to adopt- forms are judged in each round. Sighthounds will have a max of 3 dogs per round, and rounds can come few and far between. Most all sighthounds will be designed based on natural colors and markings. Some may come with small edits but they are rare. Breeding will be offered occasionally and a max of two puppies will result each time (one for the owner of the dam and one for the owner of the sire).

The All Important Rules

○Do not steal any art- only use adoptables you own, never claim credit for the original art, and do not redistribute elsewhere- on CS or off

○Sighthounds are not to be sold/resold for any amount of currency, virtual or real. No CS pets, no C$- they are a free, competition-based adoptable and are not to be sold, even within the thread. If you do not want a sighthound anymore, you can either give it back to me to put it up for adoption again, or request it is transferred to someone else who wants the sighthound, as long as both parties send me information of this transfer.

○Please respect all decisions on who wins adopts. If you do not win, then I did not think yours was as good as another form. I do not play favorites here- I base it off of how obvious it is of how much work was put into the form.

○If you feel someone has copied aspects of your form, please do not call them out in the thread. Take it to PM- either talk to them directly about it, or PM me and I will review both of the forms and tell you if I feel they are copying or not. If I do, I will take it from there- either I will confront the accused through PM and ask they change it, or I will disqualify them from the round.

Adoption Process

Each round, there will be three dogs put up. A base form will be provided that you can fill out and edit. After a week, forms will be judged and winners will be announced a day after the forms closed. Please only apply for one dog per round.

Forms will be judged on the following....

○Content- what is in your form? Did you thoroughly think about what you want to do with the dog, what it's name is, what it's story is, what kind of personality does it have, and why you want the dog?

○Visual appeal is not as important as content but is HIGHLY encouraged- a form that has a lot of effort into it, whether it be in content or visuals, is preferred.

They will NOT be based on how much art you gather of the character. You CAN draw/order art of the dog and include it in your form, and it will fall under "visual appeal", but remember that if you do not win, all of that art goes to the new owner. It is not the top priority when judging, but it doesn't hurt either.
