Oekaki Adopts
Oekaki adopts are found by clicking this forum tile.

Adoption threads are listed in this forum by thumbnail.

Oekaki-style adoptions are different from Forum-style adoptions because their forms are usually more difficult to fill out.
Usually you will not find an adoption form on the main thread.Adoption forms for Oekaki-style adoptables are found in the thumbnails underneath the image of the main thread.

Look through the thumbnails under the section titled "
Versions of this drawing that people have created recently"
When you find one that you like, click on it.
DO NOT LOOK FOR A FORM YET.First check if the adopt is still available!
Unlike forum-style adoptables, the oekaki adoptables are not removed once they are adopted.
You must check to see if a winning application has already been chosen.
If there is already a winner do not submit a form!If the adopt is available, look for a form, which usually looks like:
- Code: Select all
What are you going to name the adopt:
Is the adopt male or female or other:
***Special prompt:
Extras:
*** A major part of most Oekaki adoptable forms is the "Special Prompt".
This usually is like a story-telling contest that develops the personality of the adoptable that you are applying for.
Sometimes instead of asking for backstory, the artist asks for you to either draw or order art of the adoptable for the form.
The following is some Oekaki Adoptable Form Lingo:Prettying-up: Adding graphics and text to your form to make it look nice. Sometimes this is not allowed.Extras/Add-ons: Anything that the form does not ask for. If the form only asks, "What is the adoptable's favorite ice cream?" then drawing pictures, or writing about personality or backstory is considered an extra. Sometimes extras are not allowed and sometimes only a few are allowed.Judging: This is when the artist or judge looks over all of the forms that were posted. They choose their favorite, and that person receives the adoptable.End dates/deadlines are usually stated on the first post of the adoptable's thread.
End dates may not always be dates.
Sometimes a number of applications is given, and sometimes a page number or post number is given.
Judging may occur on the same day or after the end date.

Off-site Oekaki Adoptables
Sometimes the thumnail thread of an adoptable does not have a form.
Instead, it links offsite (usually deviantArt) for a dA point, or USD auction.
This means the winner is the one who pays the most.
Do not make bids if you do not have the money.
