Hello you lovely people, I am Fortunam Fortis, which means 'Brave Fortune' in Latin. I am owned by Saphira344, and she just loves me to bits. In order to get your own, you can try to catch one from the wild, or wait for some eggs to be found and hatched, which end up in the adoption center. I have yet to find myself a mate sadly, but in time I might be lucky to find the special dragon for me.

This is where you can capture and tame a wild dragon to be your very own. Wild dragons can be very temperamental, and sometimes it takes a few days to tame them, at which point they can be taken to help you catch more dragons. Wild dragons' genders cannot be chosen.

How to Catch a Dragon
First pick a dragon of your own or borrow one from below. They will accompany you to keep you safe and catch any wild dragons you find. Remember that wild dragons are dangerous so it is generally a bad idea to get too close. Pay close attention to the stats of both dragons when deciding what orders to give yours. A dragon with high affection makes taming easier while one with high attack is good at fighting. Once you have successfully caught and tamed a dragon they are yours to do whatever you want with.

Hunt Rules
1. Hunts are answered in the order they are posted.
2. Don't quote your form! PM an online artist if it has been more than a page and you have not had a response.
3. Only one free hunt a day per user.
4. Do not post a second hunt until your previous one has finished.
5. Please don't complain if you didn't get the dragon, it's all chance.
6. If a dragon does not have stats yet, you cannot take it on a hunt.

Hunting Form
You may take one adult dragon and optionally one hatchling on a hunt. Copy and fill out the form below.
To link to the dragon's image, right click on the image and select "Copy Image Location" then paste it into the form. Otherwise right click and select "Properties" and copy the address from there. If done correctly the URL should end in .png or .gif.

Items
Sometimes instead of catching a dragon on a hunt, you will find items that can help you in future hunts. (The shop is not currently open. Currently the only way to receive items is as a result of a hunt.)


Gold: Can be used to buy other items. Sometimes found on hunts.


Food: It can lure a dragon in, so in other words it can be used for bait. 5

String Rope: A rope you can toss around the dragon's neck has a 10% chance of working. 10
Chain Rope: A rope you can toss around the dragon's neck, has a 20% chance of working. 20
Silver Rope: Rope you can toss around the dragon's neck, has a 30%chance of working. 30

Normal Pack: Contains 2 String Ropes, 2 Traps, and 10 food. 100
Advanced Pack: Contains 4 Chain Ropes, 4 Traps, and 20 Food. 200
Expert Pack: Contains 5 Silver Ropes, 6 Traps, and 50 Food. 300

This is where injured dragons go after hunting; it normally takes a few days for them to recover.

This is where you can adopt a dragon. Because dragons are difficult to catch and tame, it is hard to catch enough to fill an adoption center. This means that there will not often be dragons here to adopt, but you can always go out and catch your own!

3. There may be a delay making stats for adopted dragons. Please be patient.

Announcement

First of all, sorry for my absence. Between finals, graduation, and the loss of a pet I have been a little busy and distracted. This should pass by the end of the month, but until then I might not be very active. I am hoping my fellow artists will help to cover me.

Speaking of artists, my second point is specifically for them. If any current artists would like to make litters to be put up for regular adoption as opposed to hunts, by all means do so. Just PM me the finished dragons, any information you want posted about them, and any special requirements for adoption so I can put them up on the front page.

Thirdly, I do not think I am currently up to the task of running trapping along with everything else to do with the Park, so if any staff member would like to volunteer to take that over, let me know. Unless she says otherwise I will be seeking Skye's approval of any volunteers for this position.

What I will try to do is get breeding set up as soon as I have the time for it. Apologies again for how long some of this is taking.

Hey!
What happened to all of that other stuff that was here?

For the time being, this thread is only for hunting for dragons. Trapping, buddy hunts, shopping, and everything else has been moved to the Proboard so we can keep better track of it all. Can't join the Proboard? Please PM one of the Park of Dragons staff and they will do what they can to help.
