Those lucky enough to stumble upon Saiyen will be granted the gift of one of these spirits, but be warned - abuse that gift and you will have your memories erased of this place. ➳ Can I make my own species?
Sorry, no. Only artists may make any of the creatures found in Saiyen.

➳ Are these adoptables free?
Yes, but sometimes there will be special ones that require payment.

➳ What if I don't want a creature anymore?
Please PM me and I will move it into the Hidden Glade area, where someone else might be willing to provide it a home.

➳ Am I allowed to change the design on my creature?
Yes. However, you must have at least one creature and one Paintbrush to do so. The creature's design will be changed, and is irreversible.

➳ If I'm an artist, can I create my own customs?
Yes - artists are allowed to create two, while guest artists are allowed to create one.

➳ What kind of words can I use when searching for creatures?
Only English words please. I will have the right to deny your form if I know that word already.

I cannot stress this enough. People always forget to use the forms or don't copy it completely, so if you want to adopt, please use the form properly so it's easy for me to dig them out of several posts.

This should be standard behavior for everyone, actually. If you ask questions or make comments, I really would prefer if you phrased it in a polite way that wouldn't set off anyone and make them offended.

S P E C I E S I N F O R M A T I O N

R E P T I L I U S { 蛇龍 }

This race of dragons are around the size of a newborn foal. Although wingless, they have the ability to zip through the sky as if they did, using their tail to propel them instead. They eat small mammals and occasionally insects, and will emit a smoke from their nostrils that will paralyze their prey before eating it.

However, they do not breathe fire, and therefore are almost harmless to human beings who have the sense to approach these dragons with a gas mask on. When provoked, the spikes on their back will stand up and harden until it seems like they're made out of metal. This will aid them in battle, and it will give off an intimidating look to other smaller adversaries.

There is no recorded gender dimorphism. The plural of Reptilius is Reptilii.

G R I F F I N { 狮鹫 }

Griffins, or gryphons, are one of the most popular creatures in mythology. They are a hybrid of two creatures, half lion and half eagle. With very powerful wings, they can stay airborne at a high altitude for quite some time. Their thick fur coat will allow them to adjust to colder surroundings easily, as in winter they grow an extra layer of fur and feathers.

Griffins are very loyal and protective of their own kind, and are very fierce warriors when it comes to battle. Their diet consists of small creatures and fish, as both parents are carnivores.

C L O U D S Q U I D { 云鱿鱼 }

➳

These are one of the most special creatures you'll ever see in Saiyen. They are squids, but unlike their brethren on Earth, they live in the air, floating around and ejecting puffs of mist - the very things we call clouds. Cloud squids are very gentle and mellow, and do not engage in any warfare with one another. They are known to be one of the wisest and oldest species in all Saiyen, and it is said that if you meet one, you will be enlightened.

No one has ever dared to harm a cloud squid, but even if one tried, they do not scare easily. The clouds that they puff out have the power to make them or another being invisible to the eyes of a rival, giving them ample time to escape to another safer place. However, you can tell when they are unhappy - the clouds that they puff will start to turn darker and darker, and soon it will start raining. It has been told that they are able to start storms, but this is still a myth. Cloud squids rarely produce offspring, and you will be very lucky if you are entrusted with one.

K A A B R A N { 眼鏡蛇 }

A Kaabran is a dangerous subspecies of cobra that are decorated with many different colors. They usually reside near the Rocky Ravines, but also can be found in the Feral Forest, which is a great deal more dangerous. If feeling threatened, Kaabrans will flare out their hoods, which are usually a bright contrast to the rest of their body. Their venom, which they can either spit out or inject with a single bite, kills in mere minutes, if not simply by the bite itself, and will be extremely painful during the whole process. If not treated immediately, dying is inevitable.

Kaabrans feed on small mammals or eggs, but sometimes will take to smaller snakes and birds. They are threatened by larger animals, though do not fear other snakes, as they are the largest species of said reptile to date. Kaabrans are very protective of their eggs and offspring; a mother will protect her babies until they are old enough to start hunting by themselves.

Their scales are very tightly knitted together, and thus are very valuable if one manages to harvest them. They are rare, however, as most dead Kaabran carcasses will be eaten quickly by other scavenging birds of prey.

Welcome to the Iridescent Lake, where you can change one of your creatures to your own whim! Sometimes, they might even grow extra parts, like wings or an extra tail. However, you will have to pay a fee for this to happen to your creatures, but if you're lucky, you might be able to win a credit from a raffle!

Make sure you have a Paintbrush when visiting the Lake, or your long journey will be all for nothing! If you're aiming for your creature to grow some other limbs, you'll need to have a Mirror with you as well. As long as you have these items, you can be well on your way.

G L O W S T O N E S { 光石頭 }

These glow stones will show how many available spots there is left for someone to paint their creature. If they are all red, please do not fill out a request, it will be denied! A green glow stone means that it is available, but a blue glow stone means that it is open for only double the price. Each artist will be allowed three slots; when those orders are filled, they may take more.
