You are wandering through the winter woods when you come across a light blue bird with red speckles. You want to get closer to see her better, so you slowly and quietly walk toward the branch she's sitting on. "Hello," you say softly.
To your surprise, the bird begins to talk! "Welcome! My name is Zanna. I'll explain everything, and if I can't explain it, I know a bird who can! Follow me," she says. You agree, and she leads you into a huge, hollow tree the size of a house. Lanterns are hung everywhere to give the vast space a soft glow. Birds of every color are flying around, decorating the tree with mistletoe and holly, or perched on small ledges, talking to each other.
"Wow," you say. Zanna agrees.

Zanna leads you to a small cavern within the tree. It is filled with glowing orbs. "Alright. We are a different kind of bird than you are used to. Instead of hatching from eggs, we hatch from glowing orbs. We only hatch once adopted, and we all hatch at once. Every once in a while, a new kind of bird will come out. Here is a list of the types of birds." She hands you a scroll. It looks like this:

Zanna leads you to one particular human working on the eggs. "Hi! I'm Lily," says the human. She looks nice. Strands of blonde hair fall in front of her face as she works. "Maybe you'd like a custom? Custom birds come to you all grown up," Lily says. "If you want one, fill out this form." She hands you a leaf with writing on it. "I'm sorry, we're short on scrolls at the moment, but I hope this'll do."

Zanna leads you to a small alcove in the same room. It shows items up for sale. "Here, we use feathers as currency." Yet another scroll had somehow managed to hide itself in the room. Zanna picked it up and and unrolls it, giving it to you. You look at it. This is what it looks like:
