• do not take a Origami Pup that is not yours, if you want one you need to get it right way
• you are not allowed to give away your Origami Pup, if you do not want it, PM me
• do not spam the thread with whining, complaints, or suggestions for designs
• questions are to be PMed to riice cakes or any moderator, not posted on the thread
• a user may own up to 4 Origami Pups, joint account users may own 2 each
• three warnings get you banned, so please be respectful of every user and member
• do not make an Origami Pup a fursona or mate to any of your characters
• you can apply only for ONE Origami Pup each round
• the waiting period after you get an origami pup is two rounds after you've adopted
(so if you adopt this round, you cannot adopt the next round, but the round after that)
• do not change the design of your Origami Pup, we work hard to make our designs
• Origami Pups are 100% free and are won by sheer effort, so please try hard
• please try to not reserve posts unless you are going to finish your form

species information
Origami Pups are a hybrid of spitz dogs and folded paper. To learn about their anatomy check out the Origami Pup Guide.

• special characteristics

Origami Pups are like regular dogs, aside from their folded paper manes and tails. They are small stocky creatures, sizes ranging from 14 to 16 inches tall and 18-24 pounds. Their small compact stature can give them somewhat of a "Napoleon complex", but they are generally docile hyper creatures, depending on the pup. They have tight bristle fur, and do better in moderate climates, but thrive in general heat and cold places also. As for coloration goes, Origami Pups have no range. From purple and green to black and brown, they are generally colorful creatures, but natural designed Origami Pups are not uncommon.

• diet

Due to their hybrid of an inanimate object, Origami Pup's diet ranges widely. They can eat almost anything, from fruits, meat, pencils, regular dog food, sweets, and erasers. In special 'rock, paper, scissors' cases, they can even eat rocks.

• life cycle

Origami Pups can live up to 15 to 28 years, a bit longer then average dogs. As babies they are born with paper manes and tails, and their paper grows at they grow. Origami Pups have the special ability to breed with any gender (male or female) to make Origami Pups with prettier designs, this way there are no limits to breeding designs.

how to adopt
To adopt an Origami Pup, all you have to do is fill out a form correctly and post it. Unlike most adoptable creatures, the Origami Pups are won by effort, not just first come, first served. You post a form when there are pups available, and in a couple of days, ranging from 3-7, winners will be chosen and shall claim their dogs. If a dog is not adopted by the end date, it will be taken to the pound or re-adopted out.

usually to win a Origami Pup, you are required to write a story or draw a piece of art. Your story can include anything from how your character adopted the pup, or how the pup found a home, to it's life cycle. Art can range from traditional to digital as long as effort is put into it.

this little pup is very smart and reserved. it keeps to itself a lot and is very adventurous. it would do best in a home with few people seeing as it gets anxious around crowds. never the less, it needs an owner who's ready to go on trips and adventures with it.

a spunky lil girl, this Origami Pup is very hyper and crazy. she is wild and rowdy, with a bunch of bundled up energy. she is an optimistic pup who will do good in any type of home as long as the owner is ready to handle her hyperactivity. but a slight warning though, she gets into a lot of things and might just eat all your erasers and sweets.

Rarely, there are times when we give the public a chance to help make their own custom Origami Pup.

• custom rules

Custom origami pups are made by the public. Saying this, we ask what you give clear detail of what you want. Although we will not make or base customs for already existing characters, given color palettes are encouraged. Custom pups are almost no different then regular pups, and will not be equipped with custom accessories.

when to take your pup to the pound

• you do not want your pup anymore, or no longer favor it's design
• want it to get a owner who will take better care of it
• just want to leave it to gather dust on a thread somewhere

how to drop your pup off

if you no longer want your pup, for any reason, to take it to the pound all you have to do is PM me. give me a quote of your form and why you want to give it up. your reason can be as simple as "i don't want it". after that, some days later, i will put the pup into the pound to be re-adopted.

how to adopt a pound pup

in order to adopt a Origami Pup from the pound, you need to just post a form and wait. Unlike regular Origami Pups, pound pups take less effort to adopt because they've already been tried out for. usually, to get a pound pup, you have to answer a simple riddle or guessing game, and why you want it. this way they can be adopted out quickly, but we can still make sure the future owners actually want their pup.

if you want your Origami Pup to have little paper puppies with that special someone, you've come to the right place.

breeding rules

• both owners must accept the request to breed, do not breed someone's pup without permission
• pups born from a breeding may breed ONCE
(so if your Origami Pup has a baby, that baby can have only one litter)
• first generation pups, not born from a breeding, may make litters up to 2 times
your pup cannot have more then one breeding partner at a time

how breeding works

If you want to breed your Origami Pup, please do not post on the thread asking for a mate. If you find a pup you are interested in, please PM the owner asking if your pups can breed. You then decide on who will post the form, and if you are accepted you will go into a breeding slot. Bred Origami pup litters range from 2 or 4. Each owner will have their pick of 1 or 2 pups, the ones they do not want will go up for adoption in the pound. Tehy are then adopted out like regular pound pups.
