You're sweaty and exhausted, your feet throbbing with pain and your bag heavy on your shoulder. You've traveled for days through canyons, caves, and crevices, most of them far below the surface. Many times you had considered giving up, but you were here now. You step forward into the huge cavern, the red clay walls extending far above even the tallest trees. The soft grass was studded with white and yellow wildflowers, and cracks in the ceiling allowed sunlight to seep in, making the area seem bright and welcoming. A meadow stretched from the entrance, where you stood, until it faded into a small beach, a sandy pathway extending halfway into the crystal waters of the central lake. Part of the cavern was raised, and it was there that the trees grew tall and thick, easily concealing anything that may have lurked there. But your prize is not here.

Looking around, there's no life other than the occasional bird and the teeming plant life. You sigh, feeling defeated, before the sound of many voices causes you to look up. From across the way, many feline-like creatures begin to emerge from a smaller entryway, some alone, others with human and other types of companions. Your heart soars as one approaches you slowly, his head held high as he exuded an air of wisdom. "Welcome," he says, his deep voice wise. "I am Valcyon. I see you have found our home. I assume you have some seeking a companion?" He asks. You nod excitedly. "Very well. Amethyst and Bear will explain the ways of life here." He turns his back to you as the Vortex begins to manifest, the shimmering structure swirling in neutral silvers and grays.

"Welcome to Ahzen," he says. "Welcome home."

• Ahzenai is pronounced: "ahh-zen-eye".
• They are about the size of ligers, with some variations.
• There are 4 elements of Ahzenai: Plasma, Liquid, Matter, Gas.
  Ahzenai can also be elementless.
• An Ahzenai cannot have more than one element.
• Ahzenai can have either curled or straight horns.
• When an Ahzenai is born from the main vortex, they are already born with a name.
• Only Ahz that are custom made from MLV's can have their named picked.
• Ahzenai cannot breed. They do not have sexes, only genders. The only way for new Ahz to be born is from the vortex.
• When an Ahz is born from the vortex, they have an adult body. There is no such thing as a baby Ahz.
• Ahzenai are capable of feeling any emotion humans can, they are also sapient beings and are able to learn other languages.
• If an Ahzenai does not choose a partner and stays in Ahzen or strikes off on their own, they will essentially live forever unless killed. If an Ahzenai picks a partner their life energy is then bound to that of their companions. Should their companion die, they too will die. Their energy then returns to the vortex to be born into a new Ahz. Ahzenai cannot remember their past lives as memories are not tied to their energy.

• Ahz: An abbreviation of Ahzenai.
• MAL: An abbreviation for the item MINI ALTERNATE LINES; an item which can be used to put an already existing Ahz on a special lineart.
• MLV: An abbreviation for the item MY LITTLE VORTEX; an item which allows the creation of a custom made Ahzenai on the current lineart edition.
• Wooing/Woo: The application for an Ahzenai that appears from the vortex. Consists of a one-sided roleplay where the character attempting to win over the new Ahz presents themselves and tries to convince the Ahz to pick them. Depending on the Ahzenai, a woo may be different each time, so carefully paying attention to the Ahz's introduction is crucial to a good woo.

~Treat others the way you want to be treated.
~No negativity, whining, begging, complaining, arguing or bribing.
~No spam. Anything that is not a wooing form, a custom/MAL form, or a question that is not answered on the front page is spam.
~You may use any character you like for wooing- as long as they belong to you.
~No stealing Ahzenai, or claiming that you created them.
~You may not sell your Ahzenai. Return them here if you no longer want them.
~Ahzenai may NOT be your fursona, your fursona's mate, or any family member to your 'Sona.
~Do NOT ask to be a staff member.
~Do NOT ask when customs will open, or when judging will be.
~If you're confused about something, let Lynx or a mod know THROUGH PM.
~We operate on a 3 strike system. If you break a rule you will get a strike! 3 strikes and you will be banned for a period of time to be determined by the Admins. Any staff member can warn you or issue a strike. A strike will disappear after 1-3 weeks.

- Put some effort into your woo. The minimum requirement for a woo is 2 paragraphs.
- Do NOT control the Ahzenai you are trying to woo. Woos are like a roleplay, you cannot control someone else's characters.
- Be sure to read the Intro story of the Ahzenai, it will tell you what that Ahzenai is like.
- You can buy extra wooing items in the Shop. These will give you bonus 'slots' towards your woo. If you don't successfully woo the Ahzenai you were trying for, your item will be returned to you. If you win, you lose the item.
- You may use any sort of character to woo. It must be a character you own, or a creation of your own. They can't be someone else's or something straight from a game, movie, etc.
- Ahzenai do not always leave with a companion. Some will decide to remain in Ahzen. Sometimes they will reappear to look for a companion, other times they won't.
- Each different Ahzenai has it's own code word. If you want your entry to be counted, then you MUST have the code word on your form. The code words are there so we can find all the entries. ((This will take effect after Lorek, Deiko, and Octavia are judged.))

Woos are judged using a point- or slot- system. Depending on you how good and relevant your woo is you will get a set amount of slots. 8 slots for a well written and interesting woo, 5 slots for an average woo and 1 slot for a poorly written woo. Items can give you more slots based on what item you buy. When judging begins, all the slots are totaled and a number is generated out of that number to determine the winner.

Ex: 5 people have entered. Numbers are assigned to each person (1, 2, etc) Let's say each person scores a 5 on their woos. Now there is a total of 25 slots. Person 1 has slots 1-5, Person 2 has slots 6-10, etc. If Person 3 buys an item that increases their slots by 5 then they get slots 11-20, Person 4 will get slots 20-25 and Person 5 will get slots 26-30. The total of slots is now 30. A number will be randomly selected from those slots. Grammar and length do not affect your score too much, but make sure the judge can read what you're writing.
