Species Information


Species:
A puffle is a cross between a fox and a puffin. It's body structure is like a bird, a puffin to be exact. With webbed duck feet, wings, and a beak. The tail and ears of a Puffle belong to a fox. The feathers of the Puffle can vary: From bright stunning colours, to natural peaceful colours. This is allowed and is able to happen due to their diet (read below for details) The sound a Puffle makes humans don't know how to quite describe it. Somewhere between a sweet peep of a baby duckling mixed with the soft but commanding bark of a fox. You may think it is an odd sound, but to those who eventually tame or adopt a Puffle find it calming and sweet.

Habitat:
The habitat of a puffle can be found usually in parks and meadows. Hidden in the flowers are secret towns of the Puffle. Houses built of grass, weeds, flowers, dirt, anything reliable to work with. They live near water, so they can swim, and fetch water reeds. A Puffle can live through warm and cold places, adapting quickly to the changing temperatures. The secret towns are generally hard to find, as they blend in well with their surrondings. Occasionally though someone will stray across one, which is why you are here today!

Diet:
The Puffle's diet mainly constists of: Berries, grass, seeds, and crumbs. A Puffle is a herbivore and does not eat insects either. During the cold or Winter periods the Puffles' will start a stash of food at the center of town. This stock is built until the first snow fall, when this happens they cover it with leaves and eat gingerlly at it until the first thaw period. The Puffle's can eat quite alot, but also little, especially during the cold season. During the warm seasons, Summer and Spring they eat plenty. FIlling their hungry bellies and creating 'insulation' for the snow. During this period and close to the fall the puffle will seem more 'puffy' and 'fluffy' giving it a more adorable and desireable look.

Behaviour:
The behaviour and the personality of a Puffle can vary, depending on what he or she likes. Although all, or usually most love to live in the town. They are quite around humans but chatter-boxes amongst their own kinds. During the Spring is their mating season, where they all travel to the meadow or underbrush nearby their town, where they can stay hidden but also close to the town and ponds' nearby. During the Winter you'd think they'd be quiet, no. During the Winter the Puffles talk even more, showing they are close together and would never seperate during the harder times. Generally they will share dens with a few other Puffles' to keep warm.

The Town is where you can find a Puffle! Tread lightly so you don't scare them off. Sometimes a feather will appear here when a Litter is about to be posted is going to be posted. The feather gives a hint on what the Puffles make look like!
