Fox
Personality [of pet]:
Curious: Tik's a curious fellow. He loves to explore, but he takes things one step at a time, never overstepping his reach, never 'biting off more than he can chew'. He knows him limits, but he likes to explore within those limits as much as he can. He has restraint, and can convince himself not to explore, but it is a pleasure of his to discover new things, like new flowers or bugs.
Calm: Tik is not one to get hyper or overly excited. He is always calm and collected. He can always think things through, no matter how panicked others might get. Others find this quite odd. He never shows any excitement beyond mild curiosity, but no one know what he is really feeling.
Young: Tik may not be a child, but he has a child-like feel to him. He is not in a relationship, but he shows no interest in one. His curiosity could be compared to a young child, and that is what makes him so unique. He is still a young fox, but he is not a child anymore, more like a young adult. But he still has, and probably will always have, the mind of a young child.
WIP
Background/History [of pet]:
"All I can say is that
My life is pretty plain.
I like watching the puddles
Gather rain."
Cantik was born in a small fox hole. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing unusual. Almost everyone has an interesting story about something that happened on the day of their birth. Tik does not. Nothing interesting, nothing unusual, happened. Tik's mother gave birth normally. There were no problems, no issues, no major disasters. She gave birth to four healthy kits on the 21st of April.
"And all I can do is
Just pour some tea for two
And speak my point of view,
But it's not sane."
His childhood wasn't too impressive, either. His brothers and sister were all rough, but Tik loved to sit by himself in the shade of the trees and smell the flowers, and watch the bugs. He was never the rough, fighting type. His brothers and sister thought him to be boring, so they left him to his own devices.
"It's not sane.
It's not sane."
Not that Tik got into trouble on his own. No, he was quiet and calm, and he could sit under those trees for hours. He loved to lift up logs and observe the bugs underneath. They fascinated him. By mid June, he could identify twelve different bugs by their coloration, body structure, and the flowers they were attracted to. Not that anyone cared, but Tik enjoyed the knowledge.
"I just want someone
To say to me,
No oh oh oh.
I'll always be there when you wake.
You know I like to keep my cheeks
Dry today.
So stay with me and
I'll have it made."
Most of his life was like that. He never really needed company, and he learned more and more, just by watching nature. It was his hobby, his joy, to learn things. He was not the best at hunting, and certainly not great at fighting, but he could tell you anything you wanted to know about the subdivisions of beetles or which flowers bees preferred. And he was happy with that.
"And I don't understand
Why I sleep all day
And I start to complain
That there's no rain.
And all I can do is
Read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away
But it's a great escape."
{Story goes here.}
"Escape....
Escape....
Escape...."
(Lyrics from "No Rain" by Blind Melon.)
WIP, obviously.
Use [for pet]:
Why do I want Cantik? It's simple, really. I was scrolling through the kennels when I found this little guy. I immediately fell in love with him, but tried to convince myself not to try for him, as I have many charries who sit without use, and I do not want this little guy to go to waste. However, after seeing him again and again, I decided that I would try for him, with the logic "he'd be my first fox charrie". Indeed, he would. He would be used, and loved. I would order art of him in every fox lineart I could find.
Other:
Sorry, just couldn't resist. I fell in love with him, and, well, I don't have any fox charries yet... *guilty face*
Keep this here. :'D

Richter
Meaning of Name:
The Richter Scale is used to measure earthquakes.
Nickname(s):
None, really, but occasionally Rich or Rick.
Gender [of pet]:
Male
Breed/Species [of pet]:
Wolf, though in the story, he is portrayed like a human, as are the other characters.
Personality [of pet]:
Optimistic: Richter is one of those guys that is always in a good mood. He never seems down, to the point of being an annoyance to others.
WIP
Background/History [of pet]:
"Tricorder?" asked 6 of 19, holding her hand out. Richter handed her the piece of equipment, and she opened it and began scanning the power conduit. He sat there, just watching her. She snapped the instrument shut, causing Richter to jump, startled.
"Is something wrong, Lieutenant?" the former Borg drone asked. Richter smiled and laughed a little bit. "Nothing's wrong, 6," he responded, amused. 6 of 19 looked at him, slightly confused and a bit annoyed, well, as annoyed or confused as a former Borg could get.
"My designation is 6 of 19, Secondary adjunct of Unimatrix 7," 6 of 19 explained. Richter laughed again. "Not any more, 6. You're part of the crew now. You're not Borg anymore." 6 of 19 just gave him a straight look that he knew meant she was not going to understand his humor.
They climbed out of the Jeffrey's tube, the power conduit fixed. Richter closed the hatch behind them, and they walked down the corridors. Richter tried to make chit chat with 6 of 19, but that is not an easy thing to do with a Borg.
"So, where are you going now?" Richter asked, trying to make conversation.
"To my quarters," replied 6 of 19, emotionless. She quickened her stride. Richter did, too, and caught up to her.
"What are you going to do there?" he asked.
"Regenerate," she responded, starting to sound the slightest bit annoyed. She turned a corner and walked into a turbolift.
"Well... Have fun with that!" called Richter as the turbolift doors closed. He sighed. "Just as untalkative as ever," he muttered. He laughed to himself, and continued on his way.
As Richter walked past Sickbay, he poked his head in. "Mornin', Doc!" he called, waving his hand.
"Wait a minute, come in here Richter!" called Doctor Frank Getts, the ship's doctor. Richter paused and walked back a few steps. He turned and entered Sickbay.
"What is it, Frank?" asked Richter. Dr. Getts, a tall, young man with black hair and brown eyes, stood in Sickbay, bent over a biobed. He stood up when Richter entered. "Ah, yes, Richter," he said, smiling slightly.

Alright. I've convinced myself to go for this beauty. He caught my eye when I was first scrolling through the kennels, and I have not been able to stop thinking about him ever since. His design is gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. I have finally found a way to use him and not let him rot, and I am very pleased with myself for that.
Richter would eventually become the mate of one of my charries, 6 of 19. If you have ever watched Star Trek, you would know the Borg. 6 of 19 is a rescued Borg who joins the crew of the U.S.S. Venturer. Richter would be a crew member already on board. They would be colleagues, and Richter would have a crush on her. However, she shows no emotion as a former Borg, so he would work to get her to like him. Eventually, her shell would crack and she would love him back.
For the point of the story, I am portraying each character as a human/humanoid. This guy would still be a character of mine, and a mate for 6 of 19's wolf form, but they would be more of the Fursona's of the story characters, not actually in the story themselves as wolves.
(You can see 6 of 19 and her full personality in my Charries page, link in my siggy)
Other:
I am really truly sorry, SheWolf13. I couldn't resist. Please don't hate me for it, cousin.
And credit goes to Star Trek for the ideas and settings.
Keep this here. :'D
