I ignored the sounds around me as I wove through the grey murk of the woods, pushing farther into the soggy swamp, known as Deaths Marsh. Mud sucked at my footsteps, and water dripped from tall twisted trees so covered in green moss they appeared sheathed in a gross slime. Fog coiled around the exposed roots or pooled in sunken earth, hiding what lay beneath. Every so often there was a snap of a branch or splash in the still waters nearby; reminding me I was not alone. As its name suggested death was everywhere, bones and limbs scattered throughout the marsh, jutting out of the mud, half covered in weeds or shimmering beneath the surface of the water. This was the most dangerous place in the woods, more so than most woods― and not because of the hideous and evil creatures lurking around calling this their home, but more because of a certain resident who lived deep in the marsh.
The one I was going to see.
Something hard flew past my head from behind, barely missing me, and spattered against a dead tree trunk a few feet away. Stopping beneath the tree I turned and glared into the dark silently daring them to do it again.
I rolled my eyes mentally before turning around and moving forward, the cool darkness enveloping me.

The offering is just some work you do of the acinonyx. It can be art of it, or a story, a poem, or anything you'll offer for the acinonyx. It's a part of the judging so it it's needed to win but, can be anything of what I listed pretty much. It's not an offering of pets or trading.
