I do believe the best way to explain it; is that you are trying to almost lure the griffin with your words and actions. You have to create a short intro to yourself and display why you should be chosen to adopt the creature [ this is all in story form; and its best to display emotion in the short introduction in order to 'charm' the griffin most ]
