Sir: I'll have to talk this over with Triple, Octo, Vity and Lirrie, but, I feel like that is a bit too restrictive to be considered fair. Once you adopt it, you should have the right to use it how you see fit, as it is yours. But that's just how I feel about it. Anyone else on staff want to weigh in?

There definatly should be a rule against restricting you from using it in rp. That prefrence is totally restrictive and I think it would be grea to have a rule against this/

Restrictions like that are not the decision of the creator, but rather the adopter. If you give away CS pets, you can't dictate what they do with them- and it's the same thing here. Putting a character up for adoption means that all rights are given up. Yes, you may ask that the character remain a certain gender or have its given name, and yes, you may ask that the design/species not be changed. But how it is used is considered too restrictive.

That's my opinion. I adopted a character and was forced to keep the name, which I hate beyond all reason. I want to rename her, but I can't, and I'm starting to disassociate myself with her because of the stupid name. Even though I am allowing this restriction here, any more than that would make me, as an adopter, want to abandon it.

I very much dislike no name changes. I never change the designs of the characters I adopt and rarley the gender. None of that bothers me but the no name change really bothers me. But I can understand, when I donate I wish people kept them the same. But to be honest I wouldn't be that mad if somebody renamed a pet I donated.

I have seen a lot of pets lost in a drop because they changed the name even though they spent so long on the form.
