Thomas O'Mally; (I know I got ninja'd. Still, though.)
What HD meant is that one-liners are not really accepted by our standards. Also, the reason why you want to adopt the Daeet isn't actually... Satisfying.
Wanting a Daeet just because you want a Daeet will not get you anywhere. I rarely ever adopt Daeets, and for the longest time, I only have 3 because the two were the prototypes for the Daeet lines. Another one was a personal custom and the last ones are like... Some I've taken under my wing because nobody really posted any satisfying forms.
You shouldn't adopt a Daeet just to adopt one. You should adopt one because this particular design appeals to you and you believe you would really like it.
Personality is a bit... Well.. It lacks too. The personality contradicts itself - might just be a typo, though. Be careful of these, as a typo might very well be the reason why someone did not win a Daeet. Furthermore it is, as I said, quite short and could be a lot bigger if you gave it a bit more time.
Example?
"Locus is generally a nice and caring Daeet. She tries her best to be sweet towards everybody - not just her friends and family but also complete strangers. However, you should be wary of picking fights with her, as she has a fierce temper and will not back down from a fight."
And this is where the history(which you didn't think about?) plays in. Here, you can choose to include a small quirk about her, which is caused by her past. I can give you an example with my own Thanatos. Only a brief one, though, as I am really tired.
History:
He was born into a superstitious group of nomads. From the day he opened his eyes, his tribe members knew he was different. If not for the suspicious markings on his shoulders, it was his pitch black eyes, that reflected little to no light at all. These eyes had never been seen before, but they appeared in an old legend. Many had assumed it was just a myth though:
Many, many years ago, when the Gods still rules the lands, a great evil was born. His pelt was white as snow and soft like the purest silk. He bore a sash black as the darkest night - the only known male to ever have worn a sash. His eyes matched the sash: Dead, cold eyes. He attacked the Gods, tore the lands apart and ruled the people with an iron hand for centuries. Nobody really knew his true name, although he was known as the Bringer of the End. Nobody knows what happened to him this day, and nobody intends to find out.
Fearing that Thanatos might have been the cruel Daeet, reincarnated, they agreed to punish him and his family: But his parents fought back. During the chaos of the fight, the young Daeet fled from the group and hid, until the sound of fighting died out. This was when he discovered that both of his parents had been killed. He swore to avenge their deaths: To show the World that the stories were not true. He wanted to change the world - to a world where no one had to fear being punished, just because of a myth.
Personality:
Thanatos is generally a quiet Daeet, as he grew up with no one to talk to. Some might even say he is shy. However, this is not the case. He just prefers to sit back and watch things take action. While he hates talking, he is incredibly good at it, and is able to convince most Daeets to believe in him. However, he would never speak of his parents. While he stubbornly claims he does it in order to protect other Daeets like him, he is aware that he does it to avenge his parents deaths.
He was never one to believe in the stories, and will not tolerate any talk about it.
While he can be manipulative and prefers to be alone, he is actually a good listener: He wouldn't judge another Daeet, and he keeps his promises. Also, he could never dream of passing a secret onto another Daeet - meaning your secret is safe with him until the day he died.
Lastly, he is reluctant to get close to another Daeet, because of what happened to his parents: He does not want the story to repeats itself, which is also why he refuses to find a mate and have kits. He also fears that his children would eventually hate him and that he would be a bad father.
See? This took about... 10 minutes to write. I understand if it seems like a lot, but it pays off if you really do want the Daeet, you know.
