Hey everyone!

After a lot of thought, staff and I decided that animating every Sweeten is way too much work. It required a layering system, and animation was done by only a handful of people as a result. It made it hard to release Sweetens at anywhere near the pace of static UMAs, and made item applications a hassle, among other things.

So, as Sweetens on the original lines suddenly not bouncing anymore would look strange, I decided we're going to be revamping the lines entirely and launching Sweetens 2.0. A new thread will be in order, and a transferring system is in the works, but won't be launched immediately. Until then, artists are free to offer transfers to you for free or for payment if they so choose (don't go asking anyone unless they offer).

Old Sweetens will be usable still even if not transferred over to the new lines, just won't be breedable or able to have items applied anymore (unless you already had one in progress). I'll be revamping the items in the store for the new lineart in time.

We'll also finally be implementing paid litters as well as Discord flatsales at some point. More info in time.

Thank you for reading! I know this is huge, but I hope you can understand why we made this decision. Hopefully the species can start being active in terms of releases again soon as a result.

Also, I never made an official statement here, so I will now: I am going to be leaving the Sweetens team in the near future. Fishkin will be taking over for me. I'm just getting everything set up for V.2 and then I'll be taking my leave. Will make another announcement regarding that when I actually do so, but thank you for the memories regardless.
