I thanked the gym leader and sat in the grass and spoke softly to the Yanma as i stroked it ever so gently."You are so pretty. Those vibrant colors of yours, I love them." The gym leader had said that i could pick berries but nevertheless, I felt uncomfortable. I found some countless small berries on a bush and picked one. Perhaps out of instinct, I looked around the area. I then looked at the Yanma and reached the berry out to see its reaction.

"Your turn!" I said, facing the girl.

"No problem. When do you want to do the battle? 'Cause it looks like this pokemon is about to burst with excitement." Nurse Joy said with a smile. "And also, you never know when a hurt pokemon will come in."

"Do I have to train with Splash?" I questioned, then bit my lip. Perhaps I should train with Splash. Murkrow was a dark type, and what if this kid had a bug type? The type advantage wouldn't be too good...

Chesta smiled, walking away to leave you and the Yanma in peace. It smiled and closed it eyes, happy when you stroked it. Though as it smelt the berry, it's eyes opened and grew wide, the smile getting bigger. Happily, it took the berry from you and ate it up, letting out a happy sound. "Ma!"

Paragraph on where you get the pokemon: I wandered into a pokelab that looked utterly deserted. No pokemon or professors in sight. "Hello?" I call anxiously. Was this the right place? Someone had said that this lab was offering pokemon to new trainers, but it seemed there weren't any pokemon here. Well, maybe they were all hidden away? "I was told I could get a pokemon here?" My voice quavers this time as I wonder if I did something wrong.

I look at the Paras curiously. To know what it was I took out a worn notebook from my backpack and flipped through the pages until I saw one with a sketch of the pokemon before me. "Paras, cute!" I say quietly to myself. One thing was different though, this little guy was missing a mushroom! "Hey little fella..." At first I am cautious to approach the pokemon but a shyly step toward it. "Do you want us to find your mushroom for you?"

"Well done, Narron, but his hardens are making it harder to hurt him, try another Tackle attack, that should be just enough."

I looked at Terra. "What do you want to do?" I asked her. She shrugged, and I looked around for something to do.

Nurse Joy said nothing, only looked back at you with an unbreaking gaze. Was that a hint of a foolish smile at the edge of her lip? Not possible, for she had a serious air about her. "Im sorry, But a chancey's place is in the pokecenter. Taking her out of her element like that would be to undo all the training that has been put in place."

The Boy looked to you. "You have anothe pokemon? Is it as strong as your little splash here?" Suddenly, from the Pokeball. burst an abrupt light illuminating the two trainers, and taking shape of a lion-like pokemon. "Lux," It said, as it shook out its fur. From that shake, little sparks of electricity rolled off and turned into static in the air. The boy smiled and murmured, "This is Kai."

The Paras looks up to you, tears in its eye. Its claw still rested on the little mushroom infront of it. Perhaps that was the missing 'shroom? Could it have tore off in the fall?

As look about, you notice how people have been bustling around. The city is a world of excitment, much different then the forest. Shops and buildings crowd around you in what seems to be a cage. So many places! And, even beyond that, a ring of forests just full of pokemon. Maybe try around there?

My mouth dropped. Oh yes, just go and bring out an electric pokemon. That's why he wanted to battle. Splash was a water type, and I could feel her shiver. "Well, no. Not as strong, but still strong."

"Well If you don't have any patients to attend to we could strike while the iron is hot so to speak" I replied with a grin.
