Ember finds a weird-looking tree that seems to change color depending on what side zie views it from. No matter how much zie tries to study it, it always morphs under zir gaze. Emby has no success finding anything so far.

Sherbet is strolling along a cliffside pathway near the coast, eyes scanning all around, when she notices a glint from a crevice in the rock ahead. Hardly able to believe it, they giddily scrape out 64 CE from the hiding spot! Score!

Alithe rests under the thick foliage of an old oak and enjoys a booming thunderstorm, watching lightning crackle across the horizon while he stays safe and dry against the tree's trunk. With such a prime view, inspiration strikes. They have unlocked Coat: Blitzen as a hidden trait!

Because this is a new trait, not previously known to the local band, an example is posted below. But on Alithe, the trait is only carried. <3

Ember spends half the day circling around a giant grouping of trees, following tracks that look like they belong to a Chimeleon, only to realize they're zir own. Zie is forced to head home for the week empty-pawed.

Herakles has rarely felt LESS inspired. The weather's so-so, neither tempestuous nor too balmy, and the wildlife is... scarce and sluggish today. He decides to take a nap, not feeling much better himself. He discovered no new traits this week.

Sherbet scours the shorelines for more treasure. A couple times she thinks a seagull is preoccupied with something shiny that could be promising, but each time the gull flies off with whatever scrap it is before they can reach it. She finds no more treasure this week.

Clyde snoops around most of the day looking for signs of lone Chimeleons. But unfortunately, it seems like the area he's looking is completely devoid of other Chimes.

Oof! Alithe wanted to study the sky for inspiring traits, but the day absolutely refuses to show him anything! A perfectly blue sky, with no clouds, a faint, smudgy sun, and absolutely no weather phenomena at all, gives them a very dull viewing. Maybe next time.

Ouch! Looks like nobody achieved their questing goal this Friday. D:

This is probably a good time to let you guys know a little about how quest results are generated: each Chime gets a random roll from random.org between a certain range, depending on the goal. Each number, or number range, within that is assigned a certain type of result. So, for instance, searching for new traits will yield SOME form of success if the number is between 7-10, with the whole roll being 1-10. They'll maybe find something other than a trait if they roll 5-6, and nothing if they roll 1-4.

Keeping things random is a great way to keep things fair, though it can definitely be frustrating. In the future, I may make my own website with randomizers and generators so that I can tailor the rollers to what we need!

Very briefly, I wanted to let everyone know that I've edited the rules slightly! From now on, if anyone were to be banned, either from Chimeleons or from Chicken Smoothie, they get to keep their Chimeleons, they are just no longer recognized as Chimes. They will be "voided," meaning their ID will be removed, their participation in the UMA barred and they will basically just be an OC for the owner. Chimeleon lore and utilities can't be used any more, but the design and character itself won't be repossessed.


If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, in the thread or by PM. I hope this makes sense and agrees with everyone
