I would like to adopt from den three!
UsernameFiredancer77 here, hoping to help this darling girl.
NameWe've found that her actual name is Elizabeth from a slip of paper we found in her cage, that said only "Elizabeth", as if she was wrapping something up. But everyone here calls her Moca.
GenderMoca is a female.
PersonalityMoca is a friendly, out-going, and very talkative minx to those close to her. Which are no minxes. She can read almost any face like an open book. But, almost no one can read her's- she blocks it out so no one will see the pain, misery, and hardship inflicted in her from her past. When she is alone, she will let her shell go, but once others come around, she will climb back in. She's enthusiastic around others, and is afraid to voice her doubts, as that's what caused her her pains. And even now, plaguing her mind, are doubts and worries and fears. She refuses to face them- she will flee and ignore them, but refuses to turn around and face them. Because she knows if she does, she will crumble into insanity's grasp. So instead, she let's herself keep running, unable to rid herself of the shadows surrounding her. If someone, in some way, could get past the shell and see inside, be able to help her, maybe, just maybe, she could lose the shell, and show who she really is. But Moca refuses to let anyone get that close. Not ever again. Some people also think she may see things sometimes, see things from her nightmares. Like a trick of light, they appear, and shake her up, but they always disappear. For the time being. Moca doesn't trust others, and while she acts friendly, she isn't really friends with anyone. She won't talk openly with other Minxes, and doesn't really interact in doing friend things- she will talk a little if approached, but not a lot.
Something From Moca's WritingSome people found a piece of paper, but the top part and bottom part seemed to have been burnt off. No one knows why, but they figured out that Moca wrote it. They guess it was a diary, or something along those lines, written before they found her and brought her here, and it would explain why she was so eager to leave, basically running to us, and why tears drenched her fur.
they're still coming. I don't understand why. What did I do to anger them? I've cried for mercy, pleaded, asked...I've done everything I can do! And yet they still coming, whispering and murmuring, and then chanting my name in a way that fills me with horror and leaves me frozen, shaking, unable to move. How can I make them leave me alone? I just want to be alone, if only
It's obvious pieces are missing, as it stars in the middle of a sentence, and ends the same way. Why? No one knows. This is another piece of paper, also found burnt, as if this was missed too. But it may lead us closer to patching together her history.
won't leave me alone. Every night, they come to plague me. Even in the day, they have started to show up. I can't sleep- I'm too afraid that once I close my eyes, I will fall right into their paws. And it scares me. But no one can know. I won't let anyone get that close to me. I won't let them even get close to me at all. I can never trust again, not after what they did. I still have nightmares of that day, when
A direct quote from a Minx Doctor who has decided to personally lead this search to help figure out the tangled mystery of Moca's history. They are very invested in it, and they grew very close to Moca. She is the main doctor Moca trusts- even though she very willingly approached us in the wild, now this doctor is one of the only humans who Moca will interact with. They hope that, as Moca recovers more, they can maybe get some info from her in some way. Now for their quote-
Hopefully, we will find more pieces of paper like this, and be able to patch together more of what has happened. We can guess that something must have happened with other Minxes, something that makes Moca feel unable to trust other minxes, or any creature for that matter. As we look more and think about options that could've happened, and narrow these down as we find more clues, we think that maybe we can find a good therapy for Moca so that she gains the ability to trust again, as the past often helps the present and future learn. If we can find a way to help Moca, it has to be helping her in the right way. Knowing what exactly happened to break her trust for other living creatures will help us find the right way.
