Extra: mino and soot were sitting, watching the lightning bugs. it had become their daily routine to watch the sun set over the horizon since the night that mino had found soot by the riverbank. soot didn't say much about how he got there but mino didnt ask. but tonight, one of the bugs broke off from the rest and glided towards a confused mino. however, soot seemed to understand right away. he got up and gently nudged mino towards the direction the lighting bug was headed, into the forest. mino had never wandered into the forest in the daytime, let alone at night but soot didnt seem phased. so mino got up and slowly followed the bug with soot close on his tail.

bumble races ahead, moving from patch to patch of greenery, sniffing and pawing through it before moving on. her piercings jingle happily, glinting in the morning light as her tail wags back and forth with doglike glee. behind them, smog follows more carefully, all four ears perked and eyes watchful. xe looks up at the heavy foliage overhead, feeling a shiver run down his spine. he would have preferred not going, but xe wasn't about to just sit there and let bumble charge in all alone. with a sigh, xe began to run to catch up, eager to stay by the other wuzzie's side.

rokku's neighbor, velvet, brought him out to the forest today. he promised there'd be so many more frogs to take pictures of- but rokku didn't really believe him. there wasn't any water here so... no frogs. they did see a turtle though. velvet wanted to take it home, and rokku took a picture of it for his girlfriend.
