Offering: "...Hurry up, Vaxt; this is the place," said a soft, gentle voice. The said Ahz, Vaxt, gave a curt nod, quickening his pace to catch up to the agile female.
"I know, Scaer. I'm coming, it just takes time to avoid falling off of the rocks," he answered, hinting a joke in his response. Scaer chuckled a bit from ahead, soon stopping near a steep hill. The wet rocks below them, accompanied by the trickle of the stream, made a relaxing scenery in the night. A cresent moon shined down on the pair, illumating the way through the thicket of trees that surrounded them. It was silent, besides the stream and the occasional cries of the nocturnal creatures that inhabited the forest.
Scaer gave a look over to the bronze-colored Ahz, her own pelt seeming to blend in with the shadows of the night, "Well...? It's going to be about a mile until we're officially there,"' she remarked, looking in front of her at the carved boulder, which gave idication to where they were. Vaxt nodded reluctantly, sighing a little as he soon caught up.
"Alright....Then, we should hurry. Right, Scaer?" he asked smoothly, as if he wasn't struggling to keep up. The female nodded, smiling a little.
"Yes, we should. Come along," the mellow Ahz called out as she went on the trail, which wound its way up the hill steadily. Vaxt followed closely, his ears tuning in to the little noises from the forest, which seemed to echo through the canopy of trees. The moon's light seemed to flicker on occasions as the two stepped under the shadows of looming trees, appearing after moments in darkness. Vaxt's attention soon drew to the area in front of him, as he heard a low sound.... resembling singing. What...? What's this? He thought quietly, as they went higher up the hill. He listened further, discovering that the source of the sound was no other than Scaer. He stayed quiet, wanting to hear what she was saying.
"This is your heart
Can you feel it? Can you feel it?
Pumps through your veins...”
Her voice was soft and gentle, like the warm summer breeze at sunset. Vaxt slowly made his way to her side, getting drawn to the song she was singing. He was a little taken aback at how she sung; in fact, he never knew the Ahz enjoyed singing. As they made their way up, slowly getting to the top of the steep hill, her singing slowly went away; the tune replaced by a low hum. Scaer's eyes were focused on the seemingly endless trail ahead, while Vaxt's were on the benevolent female. He blushed a little, looking away.
"Vaxt, we've arrived," she seemed to have whispered, which caught Vaxt's attention. Ahead of them, the forest opened up to a tranquil lake, with large pines surrounding the shore. Vaxt's felt his heart stop at the sight, rather beautiful in the night. As his eyes wandered, he looked up into the sky, seeing an abundance of stars glittering down at them, accompanied by the silent and gentle gaze of the moon. Vaxt slowly smiled, looking over at Scaer for her reaction.
Normally, the female Ahz was quiet and observant; not always expressing her rather useful opinions. However, a smile of adoration made its way to her face. The water on her back shimmered calmly in the moonlight, while Vaxt's own matter faded on occasions, the numerals in it constantly swimming around in the gas. He felt a blush form on his face, adverting his eyes to the pool of water in front of them.
"It's beautiful, isn't it, Vaxt?" Scaer breathed, the smile still on her face, accompanied by a glimmer in her eyes.
The male nodded in response, sighing contently, "Yeah....B-beautiful..." he stammered a little, catching himself before he said not as beautiful as you, though. Sure, he liked the female Ahz, but...
"Um....Vaxt?" Scaer asked quietly, catching Vaxt's attention quickly.
He turned his head towards her, tilting his head a little, "Y-Yeah, Scaer? What's up?" he asked curiously.
"I-I've been thinking about...things," she said, her eyes darting down.
"Uh...what kind of things? Just because I am a Time Ahz doesn't mean I can time travel and fix broken relationships," he said, chuckling lightly.
"It's about...us. I know we've just recently joined the other two Ahzenai; but, I have....different feelings to you," she said slowly, feeling a bit skittish.
"O-Oh. Like, you know..."
"Um...yeah...like that," Scaer answered quietly, her eyes distancing themselves from Vaxt's. She was about to say something else, but the heavy weight of Vaxt's head on her shoulder stopped her. She felt his breath on her neck fur, standing still out of curiosity.
"Yeah, Scaer. You and I...I don't think even time can distance us from eachother. I...I love you," He said, smiling softly to himself.
"I-I love you too, Vaxt."
