- Lith opened his mouth and released a yawn. The night had yet to fall, and keeping himself up was quite a task. He loved his sleep after all. The sight of the other Ahzenai and their companions playing kept him entertained though. All of their joy as they played with sparklers was a sight to behold. His attention would often drift to the cannonball competition a few of the people were having; their Ahzenai watching from the shores in disbelief. Lith let out a hearty chuckle as he raised himself into a sitting position, stretching his forelegs along the way. He would never get old of things like these games. As Lith continued watching others play, the Vortex slowly began to move, its movement catching the attention of others and causing a collective gasp to go through the crowd as all words dropped and they hurriedly made their way towards the Vortex. Lith remained were he sat and watched quietly as a green marked paw reached out from the Vortex, the rest of the Ahz following soon after.
This Ahzenai stood stock, as if in a saluting stance, "Petty Officer First Class, reporting for duty, sir!” the Ahz said, sitting down only after Valcyon had replied. Upon closer inspection, Lith noticed the many scars scattered on the Ahzenai’s coat. There was also grey on his muzzle, quickly giving away his age. Lith listened intently to the Ahz as he spoke, surprised none the less by him. An individual that had no memory of their past was hardly an individual at all. Then again, maybe it was best this one didn’t remember. A past filled with war was hardly pleasant.
Slowly, but surely, Lith rose from where he sat and made his way towards the unnamed Ahz. His steps silent and his body moving easily through the crowd, and he was in front of the Ahz in no time.He greeted the veteran with a warm smile and sat a few feet from him. “Hello, dear friend. Let me just say what a pleasure it is to meet you, and that I am terribly sorry for your lost,” Lith said, referring to his memories. “I would also like to introduce myself – I am known as Lith.” At this time, he bowed his head slightly in greeting. “As I had said before though, I am sorry for your lost. I am not all that sure I could help, but who knows. Many are more than willing to help a fellow that has done them a great service. I am sure we could find another that could aid you in gaining your memories back though. If that is truly what you want. I could, also, possibly help with what your age brings. I am quite skilled in the arts of medicine and might be able to put some spring back in your step. How does that sound? Just enough to make you feel slightly younger than what you truly are.” Lith said with a smile on his face as he watched the Ahzenai closely. “This is all I can truly do to help you, though I wish I could do more for someone that has done so much. Well, maybe if you do decide to let me help you, we could come up with a name fitting for an Ahzenai such as yourself. That way you would still be able to start off somewhere new if we are unable to gain your memory back. It won’t at least leave you to empty handed.” Lith glanced around him and noticed a few were silently waiting to approach the Ahz as well, it would be rude of him not to allow others a chance to speak to him. Quietly, Lith stood, “I know I have spoken quite quickly, and for only a short time, but I think it best if I gave others a chance to speak to you as well. If you wish for my help, simply look for me, and I will be more than willing to give it.” With that, Lith gave a small goodbye and disappeared back into the crowd with ease. His bright coat easily blending in with the foliage that grew in Ahzen as he drew further away from the Vortex and crowd gathered around the Ahz.
Lith’s heart couldn’t help but go out to the Ahzenai, it was in his nature to help one so lost. Of course, he would not be hurt if the Ahz decided to go with others. Lith was always offering to help though, no matter what.
