Wonder if we can develop something that can move the portal. Not close it.... but contain it in an object that can make it appear and disappear. This would allow us to continue doing research, but keep you from being evicted.

Hmm, like some kind of cross-dimensional box; I see what you mean... It's a tall order, for sure, but we do have a month. I'll work on a backup plan as well, and we'll see where we're at closer to Halloween.

I did not expect the critters to be such a hit with the local ranchers. Word has spread of their supreme prairie dog hunting abilities, and now everyone's clambering to get their own. The portal hasn't spit out enough for nearly all of them, so I came up with this: I'm going to start a pest removal business. We'll rent out the existing critters for a bit, let them eat as many prairie dogs as they like, we keep making money, and the ranchers cows and horses stop falling into tiny holes in the ground. It's a win/win.
I just need something to transport the critters in. Like a van or something. Problem is, they still don't like being kept in cages, which means they're going to be running loose in whatever vehicle I pick. Maybe I need a bus. Or an armored car. Can I just air drop them into people's fields? Hm. I'll keep workshopping it.

I have invented a new genre of music. Over the past couple weeks I have been training Rusty to control the tone and pitch of those weird little noises he makes, and now I've been able to add more instruments to the mix to make some actual songs. So I took him downtown to do some busking, and, uh...it did not go as planned. After 30 minutes someone finally threw a dollar in my hat, but told me "this isn't a tip, I'm paying you to leave." No one in this town appreciates art.
