I know I haven't finished my form and I deserve to be subject to the worst forms of internet torture possible. D8

I have the file for the rest of my form saved on a different computer and I'm pretty sure it got deleted.....so I'll try to get it finished sometime this week, even though I'll probably be pretty busy. X.X

So, I almost dared to go up against TLK's form... but then I had a better story idea for this lovely kitty, and realized, I wanted her much more. 8)

Kennel:
4
Name:
Cwen (English name meaning "Queen")
Breed:
Cat - similar in appearance to a Turkish Angora
Age:
17(Cat)
Why do you want this animal? & What will you do for this animal?:
She's beautiful. I love simple but unique designs, and was absolutely captivated with this design. Before I knew it, I'd come up with a huge story about her adventures and friends, and had to put it onto paper!
If I won her, I'd give her a home on my character thread, where she can get art and be adored by her many CS subjects. xD I'd love to expand her story, and the stories of those that interact with her.
Personailty:
Cwen is a young cat, owned by the Royal Family of Ancient Egypt during the time of Joseph, son of Jacob's service to Potiphar as a slave.(I don't remember the exact date, but Joseph was a real man) She's been rather pampered her whole life, and has lived inside the Palace, content to be served and have her every need met. As typical of someone who has never had to do anything for themselves, Cwen cannot hunt, and does not understand how dangerous things can be in the "outside world." The children of the Pharoh love her dearly, so Cwen is used to having attention. But as she's grown, Cwen has found herself longing for adventure. She sits on the open windows and watches the great cities from high above, and often her tail waves back and forth as she wonders if there's more to life than being pampered.
Cwen also likes to spend time with her Royal Palace animal friends: Iolani, the royal hawk; Arash, one of the royal hunting hounds; and Keturah, the Pharoh's favorite horse. Cwen is headstrong and it could be said spoiled, but she has been raised to be polite- to a certain degree.
Dislikes&Likes:
Likes: attention, talking, looking out the Palace windows, hearing the other Palace animals talk about the outside world, exploring, playing with children, eating expensive food, doing what she wants
Dislikes: Being told what to do by "inferiors", being underestimated, cages, dirty things, killing
Histroy/Backround:{5000 max,500 min}

Cwen yawned, flicking her tail back and forth across the smooth, reflective brown tiles of the Palace floor. It was just past Noon, and so hot outside that only the slaves were doing any sort of work. They always worked, even in the heat of the Egyptian sun. Work. Work Work. But they don't have thick black fur like me!, thought Cwen childishly, feeling dizzy with heat. She stood up, meowing her complaint to anyone who might be around to hear, and trotted through the halls of heiroglyphs and fine tapestries to the courtyard that was closest to the stables. It usually had some sort of activity, whether through the city gate, the stable hall, or the Palace entrance. There was a well there, she could probably get some water.
"Hello?", she said snobbily to the servant girl that was sitting by the well. She knew the humans couldn't understand her actual words, but they were pretty good at putting it together. The girl jumped, then smiled and began cooing at Cwen. The cat flicked her ears in agitation, bending her back as the human kitten stroked her. She meowed, sniffing at the well to express her desire for water. "Ayah!", said the servant, holding her hands up and laughing. Cwen hoped that this girl knew the penalty of refusing service to the Paroh's family. Waves of fiery sun rays floated across the ground, even in the shaded courtyard of palm trees.
The palace cat sat down and curled her tail over her paws, she glared at the Servant Girl and continued meowing. The girl shook her head, she was speaking a different language than Egyptian, and Cwen could make out only some of her words. "No kitty... water... Pharoh's well..." It was obvious that this servant was new, and had no idea who Cwen was. She sighed, "I didn't want to do this, but your insolence leaves me no choice. Pharoh will hear of you, and you'll wish you'd recognized me for who I am!" For whatever reason, saying it aloud and knowing the girl didn't understand gave Cwen some sort of satisfaction.
She was about to jump off of the rock wall of the well to find a competent slave when there was a loud cry, "Make way for Prince!" It was followed by a neigh, and the pounding of swift hoofbeats. A horse burst through the gate that led to the desert outside of the city. It's neck was soaked with white foam, and small clumps of froth at it's halter. The mare staggered into the courtyard with an unsteady trot, her eyes fixated on the water well as she slowed. Cwen leaped down, pelted towards the spent animal. "Keturah! You're back!", she purred. Keturah was too out of breath to speak, she acknowledged Cwen with a choked gasp and a dip of her head. The Prince sat on the Arabian mare's back, breathing heavily, and hosting a gigantic grin. Cwen had always like the way he smiled. The Servant Girl was on her face in the dirt, bowing to him. Bow to him but no to me!, Cwen thought with disgust. "Get water for my horse.", ordered the Prince, laughing to himself. The girl lifted her head, nodding quickly. She ran to obey his commands. "That was the most amazing hunt!", he continued, apparently to the girl, but Cwen wasn't paying attention to him anymore.
"Keturah! What happened?", pressed Cwen excitedly. She couldn't wait to hear the stories that her friends were sure to bring back from the hunt. The flaxen maned chestnut horse didn't speak. The servant girl had just placed a large barrel of water in front of her, and Keturah was taking in huge gulps of it. Her normally sturdy legs seemed wobbly to Cwen, and the cat made sure she stayed out from under the powerful hooves. The Prince dismounted, ordered the girl to see that his horse was properly put away and walked proudly into the Palace to tell his tale to the family.
Cwen jumped onto the rim of the barrel, lapping water up until Keturah drank so much that the she-cat couldn't reach the water any more. She licked her chops, satisfied. Keturah turned to her, looking much better than she had when the Prince had galloped her in. "Cwen... it's very good to see you! You haven't visited the stables in a few days.", nickered Keturah good-naturedly. Cwen purred, "I'm sorry, I've been busy with Palace affairs." Keturah shook her head in amusement, "I'm sure."
One of the slaves came to lead Keturah away, Cwen followed her, tail raised in curiousity. "So what happened?", pressed Cwen eagerly. Keturah snorted, "Prince Khalfani decided to hunt lions. His recklessness almost got all of us killed!" Cwen flicked her white-tipped tail, she knew that Keturah was the least reckless of all the hunting beasts. "None of you were hurt, were you?", Cwen asked, remembering when Arash had come back almost torn to shreds by a Crocodile. "No, no no...", said Keturah, turning a 180 in her stall as the slave released her into it. Cwen jumped onto the railing as Keturah faced her again. The horse continued, "Not seriously, at least. Arash almost got himself killed, but that's to be expected isn't it? That hound must have some sort of disease, nobody in their right mind could be so reckless as that mongrel." She insulted him lovingly, as best friends sometimes do. Cwen chuckled, "He's a dog. No dog was ever born sane." She and Keturah shared a loud, long laugh at their comments about Arash, and were still gasping for breath when he himself padded into the stable.
"What's so funny?", asked the Saluki, raising an eyebrow. His feathery fur drifted behind him, and Arash walked with floating grace of his Saluki forefathers. His pelt was ruffled and dusty from the hunt. Keturah neighed one last time and turned to face him, fighting her giggles, "Nothing... nothing at... all!" The young dog's eyebrows creased, unconvinced and confused at being left out. Cwen purred, "So Arash... how was the journey?" His eyes lit up, "It was amazing Cwen! Master Khalfani had us killing lions! I dealt the deathblow to the Alpha himself!" Cwen almost winced at the mention of death. She didn't like the way Arash - and all the other dogs - could talk about killing their wild brothers and sisters as if it was entertaining. Arash didn't seem to notice, "It was amazing, Cwen! He was keeping all the others at bay, none of us, none of the best hunting hounds in Pharoh’s lands, could make any headway in our battle with the beast! Every time one of us approached, he’d sweep his monstrous paws at us, raking his claws at our faces!”, Arash rattled on, “ I realized, if we kept things up the way we were, the Alpha Lion would never die! So… what did I do? I said to myself, Arash, we must please the Master! and just like that, I lunged at it’s throat the moment I saw him look away! Oh! He fought hard! His eyes were blazing! His claws were like venomous fangs! His pelt as fiery as the sun! But he was no match for me! I tore him to shreds!” Arash’s eyes glimmered with self-satisfaction, until his daringly spun tale was interrupted. A beautiful gray hawk swept into the room and alighted gracefully on the beams above, “Oh come now Arash! You’ve left out the best parts! Where I clawed that Lion to keep him distracted for you and your pack? When that beast tried to rip you to shreds, and I kept him at bay so that you weren’t killed?” The hawks red eyes sparkled with mischief.
Arash stared upward at her with wounded pride, “Oh, you always have to spoil it Ionali!” Cwen purred, “You tore him to shreds, eh Arash?” “Ah!”, he snarled, “Well, Cwen, let’s see you go out there and kill a beast like that!” Keturah burst out into a bray of laughter. Cwen stopped purring, but she looked down at him haughtily, “I don’t have time for such miniscule pleasures. I’m far to busy helping with important Palace duties.” Iolani fluttered down to land next to her, “Yes, but somehow you manage to find time to mingle with us commoners.” Cwen flicked her ears, detecting Iolani’s underlying meaning, “Indeed. But you know you’ve all got such tales to tell… even if they are far fetched sometimes.” She looked meaningfully at Arash. He scoffed and rubbed his nose against his paw. Cwen gave an inward sigh, no matter what she said, she desperately wanted to see the outside world that her friends obviously found so grand…

That night…
Cwen had returned to the Palace, been fed her favorite meal at her usual time, stroked by Pharaoh’s children and wife, “told” Pharoh about the disobedient servant, and finally retired to her own private chambers. It had been another regular day in paradise. But she was miserable. The young queen’s tail flicked back and forth in agitation, late into the night. Arash had been seen as the hero of the day by the Pharaoh. No matter what, she couldn’t get her mind off of wondering what is was like in the outside world. Her golden eyes glinted in the moonlight, and Cwen’s strange marking on her right shoulder seemed to glow as the bluish rays filtered through the window to strike it. She watched the dust float through the opening, it had seen more of the world then she had! And that would not do.

Cwen loped through the dark palace, scenting the air every-so-often to find who she was looking for. She knew the intricate halls by heart, and prayed to Christ that she was making the right decision. Arash’s status as “Herp of the Day” had earned him the right to sleep in the Prince’s room. But Cwen knew he wouldn’t be comfortable in that room, and she wasn’t surprised to see that her friend was laying prostrate across the hallway floor outside of the Prince’s door. His sides heaved gently up and down, and his well-developed muscles were relaxed except for the occasional twitch of his leg.
Cwen stopped by his shoulder, peering down at him through surprisingly bright eyes. She prodded him gently with her paw, “Arash. Wak’up.” He mumbled and shifted his weight, but didn’t awaken.
Cwen unsheathed her claw and poked him, harder. “Wak’up!”
“Ayah!”, Arash jolted awake, fangs bared.
Cwen yowled and jumped backwards, “Hey! It’s me!” Her fur bristled and she almost slid across the tiles.
Arash was panting, as if he’d woken from a dark dream, “Wah? Cwen…” He relaxed, and looked at her through half-closed eyes. She sat down, letting her fur lie flat, “Arash… I’ve been thinking…”, she paused, waiting for him to say something. Arash just stared at her sleepily. With a huff, she continued, “I’ve been thinking of leaving the Palace… to see the world.” Arash burst out laughing, “Cwen, that’s ridiculous!” Her eyes narrowed, but he didn’t seem to notice at all. “You’ve got no idea what the real world is like. You wouldn’t last a day!” He laughed himself hoarse, and Cwen’s pelt prickled with anger and embarrassment. “Stop it!”, she hissed, near tears. Arash chocked back his laughter, and smiled at her sloppily, “Don’t be silly Cwen… That’s way too dangerous. I don’t have time to worry about you being lost in the real world.” Cwen sighed, maybe this hadn’t been such a good idea. “Okay… sure, whatever.”, she padded away, her tail drooping across the floor. Arash yawned. “That cat’s gonna get herself in… trouble”, he mumbled, dropping back to the floor so as to better enjoy his dream.

Cwen perched on the window, the one closest to the ground. There was a palm tree beside it. She’d hear about cats being able to climb… what should make her any different? Arash’s response had made her even more determined to show her friends that she was just as capable of surviving in the “real world” as they were. She braced herself and lunged out of the window… and everything she’d ever known.
---
The palm tree was surprisingly hard to grasp. Cwen let out a gasp as her sharp claws slid across the bark. She fought for a hold, and began to slow. Scrrrrrschhhhh! She hissed and gritted her teeth as the spongy bark yanked her claws. It felt like they would be torn out of her as she slid to a stop.
Now Cwen had to decide how to get out of the tree. She was at least five feet off the ground, for her a dizzying height to look down from whilst hooked to a palm tree. Great., she thought in exasperation, trying to analyze the situation. How did Iolani do it? Well… she just flew. She had wings! Keturah wouldn’t be bothered by such a height… she was big enough. Arash… Arash would jump. I can do anything he can!, thought Cwen arrogantly. She braced herself, and yanked her claws free of the bark.
The she-cat let out a yelp of alarm as she twisted through the air. With an impact that stole her breath, Cwen landed on her back in the hard sand below. There was a vibrating thud surprisingly large for such a small animal. “Ugh.”
A chameleon sitting in a branch with his friend, observed with mild interest. “That’s not sommin’ you see everyday.”, he chuckled, nudging the other chameleon, “Didn’t I hear sommat about dem kitties always landin’ on their feet?” But he never thought further of it, and went back to his business.

Art: I WOULD have something, but as it states in my sig. MY computer is infected, and is being fixed, so I cannot upload anything at this time. ='(
Other:If I won her, I could see myself drawing her and her adventures. <--Actually, I've already got about four pages of sketches in my sketchbook featuring her and her friends. 8D I really loved typing her story, and she would be a well-loved edition to my character thread.
