I watched the humans going about their daily business they were such strange creatures, I shook my head and huffed out of boredom. I watched as a stranger stepped into town she had two weapons strapped to her back a long sword obviously of royal origin and a long dagger made of red steel, she wore chainmail which was attached to iron plates in order to keep it taught. "Interesting" I murmered as a grey fox with black spots on his coat trotted in after her, I leapt down from my position on the town wall and intercepted him.
"Tell me why do you follow the human she cannot see you so what is the point?" I asked him, I couldnt help my curiousity it was just such an odd occurence around here. "My reasons are my own" he replied simply, I glared at him but it made no difference he just ignored me and went after the human "rude much" I muttered but jumped back onto the wall then onto a nearby roof so I could follow the pair more easily. I felt another fox join me on one roof but let her run beside me, I assumed she was taking the same course I was, I looked at her out of the corner of my eye.
Her coat was the colour of cream that had been mixed with a small amount of ash, there was patch of black running from head to the start of her tail on that black were circles and splodges of varying shades of blue and her tail faded from the ashen cream colour to pure black. Her paws looked like she was wearing a black pair of what humans called shoes, a small pair of wings adorned her back they were half ashen cream half black, all in all she was beautiful.
We came to a halt when we found the red haired human female buying and selling goods to one of the local merchants, "what is your name?" a quiet voice asked me. It was my companion who had spoken, "you may call me Tribal Acid, Acid if you prefer I do not mind" I replied "I am Elura" she said in that same quiet voice. I leapt down and padded over to stand next the grey fox I had questioned before, "if you would really like to know I follow her becasue I feel that she is bound for greatness" he murmered quietly.
"That long sword she carries seems familiar" Elura spoke and sat down pouring over her memories trying to gather where she had seen that sword before, "it belonged to the former king before he was felled by a terrible creature" the grey fox spoke. Eluras eyes widend "I remember now I watched her take that sword from one of the monsters that overtook the battleground after the humans lost" she said solomly. "This female is great yet but she still has much to do before she can live her life with the one she loves" I said quietly my eyes fixed on the sword on her back. "I think I will travel with you I want to see the moment she becomes queen" Elura murmered to the grey fox "how did you know her lover is bound for the throne?" the gray fox asked shocked.
"I am orginally from a small town quite far from here and I watched him tell her that he was the late kings half brother" she replied scratching her ear, "then I will come along as well" I said quietly. We followed her back to the gates of the village and just before we left I looked back upon my home, for it would be a long time until I would return.
