Long, long ago, there used to be murmurs carried on the wind. Some of us were born strong enough to listen to the words and tame them into song, and they were worshipped as the Bearers of the Light, the knights that delivered the message of the stars. In my Arctic homeland, they would herald the coming of the Star-Kissed Child, and for generations my people prayed.
Their hopes eventually waned. Those that were chosen to carry the burden of the messages began dying out. Some were spontaneous, mundane ways, falling prey to a disease or merely to an ancient age. Even those who communicated with the gods were not immortal. But the most powerful of them all had been witnessed being enveloped in an impermeable bubble made of the most blinding material, cast in the shape of a star, and being eaten alive by the raw energy. Their death was chorused by their screams.
Sixty three years passed, and many of the elders who carried on the traditions are no longer being heard. The packs want something new, something they can truly hold with their spirits and see with their eyes. The gods and goddesses are turning their backs to us, and I am the only one that knows why. It has been sixty three years since any Bearer of Lights were born. It has been sixty three years since the hope for our future perished with their dreams.
But I am different. I was born in secrecy with a star branded onto my flank and eyes of the purest blue. My mother fears for me. My father fears me. I am the last Bearer of Light ever to be born, and I am the Star-Kissed Child.

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

Yeah, I was actually planning on doing that :3 I just haven't done it yet to avoid confusion with some of the forms that still need permission.
