Name: Quel-kalina

This means 'Good Light' and will be explained as i tell the history.

What will you use it for: Quel-kalina will be used for artistic ideas, as well as for story-lines...i am relatively new to the site but was told that these are the most unique/beautiful pets here...which i strongly agree with. While i am a new member, i am full of ideas for stories and ideas for such a magnificent looking creature, and although i've never done 'role-plays' before i feel having a strong, majestic looking creature to center around would allow me to jump right into that aspect of the site.

Why do you want it: As previously stated i am new to the site, and while all the pets are unique in their own way, i feel that having this pet would allow me to get out into the community quicker and in a less hesitant manner...I have yet to post a story here but when i do write it tends to be of a strong character (preferably good) overcoming insurmountable odds and triumphing over evil (hence my love for this particular Crystaline.)

Personality: (Not likely to change but is possible depending on character developement) Noble and regal beyond anything, Quel-kalina never backs down, and never lets anyone around her back down. She believes in standing up for what is right and just, and will not allow the bigger stronger creatures to take advantage of the weaker, smaller ones. She is (in a way) the robin-hood of her species...while not exactly taking from the rich, she does all possible to assist the less fortunate creatures...She is not quick to anger, but when angered is one to be reckoned with. The markings on her seem to bring peace, and tranquility to all who look upon them, and while not one to start an argument, will gladly give her views without hesitation. She would be a strong leading female role, and would be great for a gentle, yet protective mother...or a knowledgeable elder.

History: Quel-kalina was born amongst a large litter, and was often considered the 'favorite' by its other siblings. Upon turning 3 months old, Quel-kalina's parents noticed that she was very different from the others, as the light emanating from her crystals had an odd, almost 'euphoric' effect...as Quel-kalina grew and became stronger, faster, and wiser she became able to control when, and how strong the 'euphoric' light emanated...but like everything else in the world, even Crystalines fear what they do not understand...and Quel-kalina was soon pushed out of the den, for her parents and siblings feared the power that she had and they did not.

Quel-kalina learned to do things alone, yet felt a longing to help others in similar situations...so while she was more than able to be self-sustaining, she chose to hunt out the less fortunate and hunt with them, helping them to provide their selves and perhaps their young ones with food, and even shelter for the injured. Quel-kalina especially tries to find those that are severely injured, with no chance of survival...while she is unable to save them, she find peace in the fact that she is able to put them in at ease during their passing with her light. In this regard, Quel-kalina is known among her peers as a sort of medicine man/woman...despite not actually administering medicine...her ability to ease the passage of others makes the others love and respect her in a way that isn't often known among her race.

Other: I'm not sure if its customary to put a 'how long it took' thing down here lol, but i didn't keep track...i added here and there, until i felt it told a good enough story about Quel-kalina, and in all honesty i'm just hoping i get her lol...i have yet to see anything that just inspires me in a way that she does, the name suites her better than even i thought it seems

What will I use her for:
She will be great friends with my other Crystinalian, Nafisa, and I'll spoil her rotten and get her plenty of art. She'll be one of my most favorite and beloved characters and I'll use her all the time!

Why do you want it:
Her colors and markings are absolutely gorgeous! She looks so graceful and majestic and I'd love a character like that! I think I'd connect with her amazingly!

Personality:
- Graceful
- Majestic
- Serious
- Lonely
- Secretive
She is graceful and beautiful, using that to hide her true feelings. She is serious and doesn't usually like jokes or love, but truly she is lonely on the inside. She has a soft spot for her friend, Nafisa.

History:
Death. The last things I ever saw of my parents was their death. I watched as my eldest brother killed them, slowly and painfully. He had me trapped, he made me watch and then left me there to starve. He took my twin brother away into the dark of night, leaving me all alone. I did not fully understand his reason for this, I was too young to understand, but now I know. He wanted my brother's powers and wanted me dead, out of the way. I broke free of my prison, I broke free of his trap and I ran. I ran through the snow, I ran through the dark, I ran through the storm and I ran away from the smell of death, but I could still hear my parents pained screams and smell their blood, my brother's evil laugh rang in my head causing my blood to boil. I would hunt him down, I would take him down, revenge would be mine.

I ran to the mountains, to train myself. I would learn how to fight my brother, learn how to draw blood. I would save my twin, if he still lived. I lived and hunted there alone for many years, until on that one hunting trip.

I walked through the trees in the valley, between four mountains, my home for many years. In the valley lived a herd of deer, my source of food. I was stalking them, eyeing a fairly plump looking doe. It was slower than the others and sometimes strayed from the group, making her easy to catch. The herd had stopped to rest and graze, this was my chance, I snook through the trees towards the doe, avoiding all the leaves and branches I could, when they bolted. I saw her, a flash of brown with white stripes, sparkling blue crystals along her back. She pursued them, running after the plump doe, my doe. I growled, how dare she! I charged out of the trees, but the other Crystinalian had already taken down the doe. She was looking at me, almost as if offering me the doe. I starred at her bewildered and them realized she was handing me the doe. I walked over and started to eat, taking in the delicious taste of fresh meat. I looked up at the female and offered her some. We now live together in my valley, her name is Nafisa, she trains me and teaches me, helps me to find my brother who I will hopefully see again some day.
