~Why do you want this goennec?~In all honesty I've been wanting a hunting Goennec since I saw the first one go up after finding out the species was created. But it was just one at a time and I knew that I wouldn't have a chance against some of the other users if it was just one. But now, with all of these hunters up, I feel like I actually have a chance. All of them are stunning but I instantly clicked with this male. I can see right into his soul it seems, through his black-tear-stained eyes. I connected with him far more than I thought I would have, and I simply could not resist. Besides, he is absolutely gorgeous and I just couldn't live with myself if I didn't at least try for him.
How would you use this character?:I can promise you that if I was honored enough to own this beautiful guy he would be well taken care of and loved. I would get art of him and doodle him in my spare time. I would definitely put him in my signature as well as write short stories and poems and such about him. And of course he would have a spot in my Goennec thread.

There appears to be no limitations to Anaru's ability to strive for perfection and take any means necessary to get there. He doesn't care if he pushes his team to their breaking points. He has been known to cause several of his hunters to collapse from exhaustion, run so fast and hard that they vomit, even push them to continue getting the job done after twisting a paw or breaking an ankle. He will force you to continue under any and every possible circumstance. You will not jump the 'obstacles' that you face but ram through them head on. And if you fail to reach his expectations, he'll find a way to make the humans take you off the team, which is quite easy for him. He is the best hunter in the state, the country, and within the top five in the world. To replace him would be madness. So if he wants someone gone, all he has to do is act as though he cannot stand them, which isn't hard at all, and they are gone and someone new is in their spot quite quickly. For he would refuse to work otherwise and he is a huge asset to his team's humans.
Emotions are something that is never shown when it comes to Anaru. Even when he is pushing someone harder and harder, he will remain eerily calm. Many Goennecs and at times even humans wonder if the male even feels any sort of emotion or if he just has a completely empty and hollow heart. And yet no one would dare cross him, for although he would not get up in ones face, he would not scream in their face, he can and will just as easily pin them to the ground, his sharp hooves at their throat as well as ready to knock them in the head and kill them with a single blow. Yet, his eyes would remain completely emotionless as they seemingly stared into the vary soul of his attackee, his voice never so serene and peaceful as he threatened their life if they didn't repent for their actions/words and swear repeatedly that it would not happen again.
Anaru is the kind of creature who will completely bury himself within his work if it will keep his mind off of other things. Infact, it's what he's been doing for years, not that anyone really knows about it, but that's a story for another time. Nowadays, he is so driven by his work, that he could force himself to go a week without sleep and equally as long without food, half as long without water, and long since having lost his human followers/trainers. As long as he completes his mission, he doesn't care how long it takes, who gets hurt, or what he may or may not end up suffering. In a hunt he will put his all into it and not stop until he has brought the creature down and has it slung over his back as he finally slows his pace to return to his masters with their prize.
~Backstory~"Mother? Why is uncle Rajj so sad? What's wrong with him? He won't leave his bed. He won't eat anything. He won't play with me. And he promised to tell me a story about the time he went rogue and ran away from his owners but when I walked up to him he just told me to go away." The small male approached his mother, wobbling a bit as he walked on gangly legs that were still too long for his body, his ears perked up as he gazed at her curiously.
"Well my darling, it's a bit difficult to explain. Rajj was in love, and love can be either the most fantastic feeling in the world it the most painful. Last week her owners moved away, taking her with them, so she'd have to join a different hunting group. But when she left she told him she was pregnant, yet they were not his children she carried in her belly. So she betrayed your uncle and broke his heart." The light-tan female tried to explain quietly as so her brother would not hear her words, as well as not really wanting to go into too much detail either, for herself and her young son's sake.
A deep frown emerged upon the tiny male's face and he made a disgusted face as he stomped one foot upon the ground. "That's just not right! How could she do that to him! He's such a great guy! That's it, I promise you momma, I will never fall in love like uncle Rajj. I refuse to go through this pain of love and heart brokenness like he is. I simply completely and utterly refuse to."
The mother gave her child a soft, broken smile before pushing him off to practice his skills with some other youngsters. Her words, meant only for herself they were so quiet, were "If only it were that easy my boy..."

"I don't want to be on a training team with her. You know how I feel towards females, Tye." Anaru snarled out angrily as he slammed his foot into the ground, his long tail squashing around in annoyance. The older Goennec gave him a stern look but upon seeing the youngone's expression he let out a sigh, taking a step forward, his head lowered and his voice low so the others would not hear him as he spoke.
"Anaru, I am not asking you, for in all honesty the humans assigned me my team to train, I didn't pick. It was not my decision. Now, either you train with this team or you forever denounce your breed, reject your future rank. Pick boy, because it is time to begin. And time is not something I care to waste." The dark chestnut red male could not help but let out a slight growl at the end of his statement, his eyes darkening as he held the younger's gaze, darkening with every passing second, as though the longer he took to answer, the more disgraceful he became in the eyes of Tye.
"Fine, but I'm not happy about it." The stubborn golden male retorted with a huff after a few seconds longer, turning and stalking towards the front of the group infront of him. His father was the top hunter in the world, his mother one of the fastest. His destiny to be a leader to whichever pack he ended up in was always present, never escaping him, never leaving his mind fully. Even then, in the subconscious of his mind, his instincts wanted to preserve his line, his legacy, and that's why his golden eyes glanced over at her for a mere second. But even that was too long. For it was the beginning of the end. The start of his downfall.
