Christmas (This is a good idea for Christmas)
Halloween (A black cat, a dog witch, a dragon mummy, etc.)
Thanksgiving (I know what your thinking........turkey!)
St. Patricks (You could do a green dog with a hat, or maybe a green cat with clover headbands!)
Easter (Bunnny)
