Name: Kaya, or Kaia
Species: Husky, with maybe a mix of some unknown breeds from her father's side.
Personality: Kaya is a friendly, playful puppy, that can get very excited and have alot of energy. She's a great friend to anybody, and likes to help others whenever, and as often as she can. But she's not afraid to stand up for her friends, and once she makes a decision there's not any changing her mind, she sticks with what she believes in, even if nobody else thinks it's right. She's athletic and fun-loving, she loves to run around outside, she especially loves the snow, play with others, but after all of that she's fine with taking a loooong nap, being relaxed, and calm. But she doesn't like to stay put for too long--she doesn't like staying still, she'd rather be stretching her legs and having fun. Sporty, usually pretty hyper yet sometimes laid-back, Kaya's a great, usually loyal friend that sticks up for what she believes in--but mostly, she just loves to have fun.
Likes: Snow, her family, her best friends, being active, winter, warm bonfires/fireplaces, her light, aqua blue collar, her sled harness the same color as her color, being happy =3
Dislikes: Hot weather ((unless it involves swimming
)) lying around all day, being alone for long periods of time, tight collars, other dogs that care too much about their looks, how expensive their accesories are, etc. being sad, unhappy, or whenever anyone else around her is unhappy about something--she likes to help =D
Background (Optional, but it gives you a better shot):
((Kinda long, but here it is!
))
Kaya was born wild, even though that might be hard to believe. Her mother was Maya, a deep red and white husky, and her father was a deep brown, almost black wolfdog named Kavik. She was born in the coldest time of the year, and she only had a brother and sister, Toko, a black wolfdog with a brown underbelly, with brown and white flecks speckled in and around his dark fur, and her sister Echo. She loved to play in the snow with her littermates, but it always felt like something was missing. But soon, even if she didn't know it, she was about to find out her destiny.
Kaya was wandering through the woods, her pawsteps muffled by the silvery snow. She pricked her ears, thinking she heard something. When nothing emerged, she continued, leaping excitedly through the ice and snow. She yawned, her paws aching from travelling so far. Assuming her parents wouldn't mind her taking a short nap before returning home, she spotted a hollow under a tree root, which she wriggles under. It was warm, dry, and cozy, perfect for a tired puppy. Feeling peaceful, she drifted into a content sleep.
Kaya awoke to roaring winds and cold blistering through her soft reddish puppy fur. What's going on?? she thought, blinking awake. She crawled out of her nest and whimpered in shock. The forest seemed alive, the winds whipping at her fur and bright blue eyes. She was caught in a blizzard!!
Her ears down, she was about to retreat to the comfort of her newly found nest when she heard a sound. Startled, she pricked her ears, trying to dettermine where it was coming from. It sounded high, a cry for help. Not thinking, she bounded off towards the source of the sound, determined to find out what was going on. She burst through the bushed, wide eyes as she saw what had happened. A tall creature, a human as she had been told by her mother, along with a team of dogs that looked alot like her were hunched nearby, the human uttering cries of pain. The dogs were panicking, howling for help. She didn't understand why, but something was calling her to help, she felt as if she needed to. ONe of the wolves, an unusally colored silver wolf with blue-tinged fur spotted her and motioned for her to come over. "I'm Skye," she said quickly, sounding worried. "I...I'm Kaya." the pup replied, "What happened?" Skye quickly told her how their guardian, the human, hadn't known about the storm, and they had gotten caught in it. While trying to help one of the dogs,she had fallen, and she was hurt, they weren't sure how bad, but what they did know is that she needed help, but none of them could find any since they were tied to the sled. Kaya nodded, understanding what she had to do. She bounded away, her head down, eyes narrowed to avoid the snowflakes from stinging her turquoise blue eyes, howling for help. Soon, she emerged into a place she had never dared go, but heard of, the place where humans--also called Notails ,by the wild pack wolves and loners-- lived. Pursing her lips into an "o", she let out a howl, catching their attention and one stood up quiestioningly, then looking closer, their eyes opened wide and they called something to muffled for her to understand, but the other Notails--er, humans, came hurrying over, pulling on brightly-colored winter coats with a ring of thick, fluffy faux fur lining the hoods. One, a smaller, younger looking girl, kneeled down, holding out a mittened paw...hand, and calling something gently. Ignoring the temptation, Kaya turned and looked back, pricking her reddish ears questioningly, then closed her unusual, beautiful turquoise eyes, and howled again, this time the high-pitched sound seemed to echo around, bouncing off of trees and sounding musical and melodious. After pausing for a moment, hesitating, the people took a cautious step forward, then bolted after her as the reddish wolfdog turned, her ears pricked curiously back towards them as she glanced ovver her shoulder. When they started after her once more, she whipped around, bounding through the forest, avoiding the heaps of icy snow that were scattered among the bare trees.----------EDITING-------
Long story short, they helped the sled dog team safely return, but Kaya didn't know what to do. She had lived in the forest her whole life, but....somthing was calling her, she needed to go with them. Quickly making her decision, she turned her back on the forest and raced after her new family.
She began to train with the team, and she loved her guardian, the girl that she had helped save not long ago. With her new heart collar that matched her eyes, she knew with all of her heart that she was finally home.
