The young rabbit like creature hopped around with sparkling blue eyes. His smile broad across his face and his nose twitching with all the wonderful smells. Ah yes, how wonderful it was in Venara; so many lovely pastries, cakes, soups, it was quote overpowering. He hopped around the town, many rabbit like creatures like he waved their small paws at him. He waved back with a smile, a cherry red wagon following him as he hopped away from the secret town. Tribble hopped along the well worn but still strong stone grey path. He gazed around with a smile and looked up at the trees. Apples! He grinned and started hopping up and down, reaching extraordinary heights in just a few bounces. He plucked many apples and set them in a red and white checkered cloth in the wagon. The sparkling red colour shimmering in the sun. He continued along with a smile, soon coming across a flour mill. He took the stalks of wheat from the wagon and hopped towards the mill. He handed the bundle to the man working them place and soon had a fresh bag of freshly ground, white flour, which he also put in the wagon.

As he continued on he came across another town. One with many different creatures. His ears pricked and his smile was lot with curiosity. He hopped along and found the small marketplace they had. He followed the pathway finding a sugar maker, he ordered a new fresh back or shimmering white sugar, and neatly grounded soft brown sugar. He licked his lips at the suggary treats in the wagon then set off again. He came across the milk stand, buying a freshly poured pitcher of rich, creamy cream and milk. As he continued on he found the spicy smell of cinnamon, the sweet and sour taste of apple juice, and the newly and still hot baked pastry. All of the wonderul items rested in his red wagon.

Tribble hopped along another path with wonder. He reached an altar, and before him a milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate Faerre. He listened to the Faerres speech and did a little twirl as he heard the 'treats' and 'baking' part. He watched many interesting creatures bring baked treats to the Faerre. His smile slowly faded to horror. This couldn't be! It just wasn't right! He hopped forward as fast as his little paws would carry him...and well also so the wagon didn't tip over. As he tried hopping up the altar his wagon wouldn't follow. He hopped over to a strong built wolf and asked politely

"Will you please help me with my wagon?" his voice was small and sweet, but also had a slight French accent. The wolf agreed mystified by the rabbit thing and nosed the wagon onto the altar.

"Merci kind sir!" he called as he hopped onto the altar himself. E didn't speak to the Faerre, his movements quick but graceful. He had a table and stove set on the altar and place the new ingredients on the table. He gestured for L-Ran to watch from the front then began.

"Bonjour my friends! I am Tribble, a cake rabbit of you gave not guessed. Today I bring for you all and the honoured guest L-Ran a special treat. Today, I will bake you a freshly made, baked to perfection, sweet and soft, sour but balanced, suggary but crunchy, doughy but yummy licious apple pie!" he grinned a grin and turned to the table again.

"This apple pie will only be made with, not the finest but the freshest and best picked ingredients. " he picked up the apples and peeled then with fast and swift movements, cutting them into equal and small pieces. He placed them in a bowl and mixed them with the white sugar. With a twirl he added the apple juice in siral movements and stirred whiling hopping around. While stirring he talked about himself.

"I come from a place called Vernara. There we all look like me, except with different coloured and flavoured whippedcream! I am a lemon an apple based bunny!" he gestured to the yellow icing and green sprinkles on his head, chest, and tail.

"In vernara, we bake many delicious treats. What yoy may ask? We bake, apple pie! Apple crumble! Strawberry tartè, mango gelato, raspberry sherbert, bannana long cake, chocolate cinnamon brownies, and oh my friends just so much more! I also wander around the world alot, this summer I travel to Calgary, Alberta. Just in time for the Calgary stampede, I hear they have many lovely creations, like fried icecream, fried bannana, maple candy, pancakes, and hashbrowns!" he licks his lips and continued mixing the apples.

"These wonderful treats take time, so you need patience!" he lectured he placed the mixed apples in an amazingly clean and decorated fashion into the pie pan pastry. He poured the flour into the bo then the fresh and rich cream. As he mixed a dough began to form, he then gestured to L-Ran

"Knead this then roll it please!" as he waited and when it was done he took the new dough and placed it over top the applies. Then he put it in the oven. After several minutes he took it out, sprinkling like rain and snow sugar onto the baked pie.

"Voila! An apple pie to the finest. But! It is never complete without iceceam, am I correct?" he wiggled his eyebrows for fun then started the process. In a plastic bag he poured ice into it. Then some salt, sugar, milk, and some vanilla AND lemon flavouring. As he shook the bag he handed it to L-Ran again. When he finished he scooped out the icecream and cut a piece of pie out. He placed the pie piece slow and precisly onto the crystal plate the. Placed the icecream on the side then out a cherry on top.

"For you my friend L-Ran!" he said with joy and handed the piece to him. He leaned in eagerly "What do you think? What do you think?" he asked excitedly sounding like a little kid.

"I-I hope that we can learn from each other! All your woderful creations an mine. Perhaps we can also make something together, combine recipes or create complete new ones. Trè bein no?" he smiled warmly and nudged the pie towards L-Ran, giving the rest to her.

I'm sorry! It's an honest typo mistake. My iPod autocorrects, and I'm not the first one to do this.

the picture that is not showing up (for me anyway) is a picture of the apple pie I actually baked/made. Unfortunally I'm on my iPod and can't get the picture. Tomorrow if possible I will send you a picture even if judging is done for fun!

L-Ran Made Her Choice

It was 'Assessment day' but not for young Faerres, but for the eager visitors gathered below. L-Ran watched as the pile of baked goods beside her grew with each and every minute. Each creature brave enough to venture forth brought a bit of their own specially made pastry, filled with love and spiced with the different customs and cultures of the outside world. With each 'entry' she's presented with the brown Faerre took a small bite to evaluate the product. Some she swallowed, others she spat out. Finally the last baked good is tasted and mentally evaluated, the Faerre stepped forward with a small un-ladylike burp. It is time. L-Ran thought with a cheeky grin on her face, not one bit embarrassed by her burp.

"This event gave me the opportunity to taste the different 'lives' outside of Vinara and I'm really grateful for this chance. Now, I shall announce the lucky soul who'll be my apprentice..." L-Ran paused dramatically as she glanced at the crowd before her. Slowly she stepped down from the stage and followed the little webbed imprints on the ground. "You." The brown Faerre smiled as she reached the small duckling with an orange bill. "I'd like to 'taste' more of your culture." L-Ran smiled as she gave the duckling a friendly nuzzle.

Renu giggled with excitement as L-Ran walked toward her. With a little quack and a jump, she landed in the brown faerre's fur and gave her a big hug (or at least, an attempt at a big hug).
"Thank you for letting me be your apprentice," she said, snuggling L-Ran. "Maybe some day, we can open up a pastry shop, right?" She looked at L-Ran, and suddenly giggled in a funny manner.

"Can you teach me how to bake a pie though? Don't tell anyone, but I don't know how to bake one!"

Haha, thank you very much Taiyo. I had a lot of fun making that pie. And I have to admit it was pretty good. I love to bake but only when I have time. Thanks for the kios L-Ran <3 congradulations Soulbridge and I love how you made the little duckling ask how to make a pie!
