{Ahzenai} New Thread! (Please Lock)

I let out a sigh as Eriat picked someone else to stay with. I new I was wasting time, I had to start on my travels soon. But then again, I was attracted to the cave in someway. I'm not ready to leave yet.. I softly said to my self, brushing my white curled hair off my shoulder. I kept on walking until I found a pool of water, it seemed to give off a bright glow.

Sitting down beside the pool, I took off my bag and set it in front of my. Pulling out my pencil and note pad, I made sure I had everything I needed to write down for my trip. Food, I'll pick that up. Water, I have that one already. I slowly said everything in my mind, taking out my phone to look at the time.

No signal, great....

Suddenly, I saw something out of the corner of my eye, it was an Ahzenai. It was a female, and she was quite pretty. But something was different, I didn't see a color of light beside her. She didn't have one, how odd. But still, the Ahzenai was beautiful, and I wondered if I should try to woo her.

Standing up with my bag in my hands, I decided to give it a shot. Slowly I made my way towards the female creature, straying from the male. I certainly did not want to be 'whooped' on. Slowly, I bent down in front of the female listening to her words. "Well hello, Adethea. You have a very beautiful name, and I love the splash of red on your chest. I'm Plepore37, though you can call me Ivory also. And what do I have to offer? Well, I can offer you many things..." I said softly.

"I can offer you laughter. When you are tensed up, or when the silence fills up the moment too long, I'll make sure that a heartwarming laugh spills from your lips. Sure, I'm not the best at jokes, but I can try my best at hearing you laugh. And I'm good at giving riddles, those I can give."

"I can also offer you protection. When in the the mountains you can find lots of dangerous animals. There are bears, big furry creatures with small short tails and big round paws. And then mountain lions, bit huge cats then can jump very high. Or if your paw ever gets stuck in a trap, I'll use all my strength to get you out of it."

"I can also offer you this." I said, opening my bad. I picked up the Sharp Dagger, twirling it around in my hands before setting it down at Adethea's feet. "I don't know how many of these you have, but I hope you like it." I said, looking at the dagger, and then up at the female Ahzenai.

"I can offer you trust, and promises. I'll always stay true to my words, making sure I never let you down or break a promise. Anything you ask for, I won't stop until you have it. You can trust me with any promise, any secret, any job. And I promise I'll do it right, to make you happy."

"Another thing I can give you is freedom. I wouldn't be one of those dumb owners who have you in a straight jacket with a leash and collar around your neck. Nothing will be tied around you, and I won't put stupid clothes on you unless you want them on you. I'll allow you to go off and do things on your own also."

"The last, but not least, thing I can offer you is love. When ever your in a down and depressed, whenever you need loving words to go on, or just randomly through out the day, I'm here for you. I'll always be here to embrace you in hugs, I'm always here to make sure you have a wonderful time."

I took a deep breath, grabbing the water bottle out of my bag. My tounge felt cracked from talking so long, and when I took a drink of water it was like heaven on Earth to my tounge. Once finished with that, I looked back at Adethea. "Everything I said is all true. So, I would like to know something. Would you please join me on my travels?" I questioned, hoping the Ahzenai would accepted..

The next Ahzenai to appear from the vortex did so in a most unusual manner. Instead of simply walking out like his previous cousins, Thegalym was launched from the vortex in a fiery mass and crashed into the lake, spraying water everywhere. He came up sputtering and coughing and paddled over to the edge of the lake, dragging himself out. His normally bright and fiery element was nothing more then a slight glow as it recovered from the dousing. He stood there for a moment- apparently letting the sopping nature of his fur hit him- then shook violently to dislodge the dampness.

Once satisfied he was no longer dripping he waltzed over to a boulder and hopped on top, settling down for an intensive grooming. He was just in the middle of drying his left shoulder when he noticed the humans watching him. He paused for moment before recoiling back in shock. Where did they come?! Panic filled him and he almost slipped off his perch and back into the water.

"Stay back!" He yelped, "I, Thegalym am a powerful Ahzenai and I'm not afraid to whoop on you!"

He formed a fist with his paw and shook it, as if to emphasize his point.

I watched with some interest as the first Ahzenai appeared and approached another, but squeaked a bit in surprise as a purple, flaming ball shot out from the vortex and into the river. A little stunned, I stood up to perhaps get a better view of what was happening. The creature pulled itself out of the water and began grooming itself. A little curious as to why it appeared in such a manner and whether or not it was alright, I began to make my way over the stone bridge that separated my side of the shore from its, never taking my eyes off of it.

Unfortunately, this meant that I was not watching where I stepped. My left foot slid sideways off of the bridge. "Shi-," I managed to utter before plunging into the river below.

There was water everywhere. I struggled underwater for a bit before getting my bearings and wading out onto the shore, looking much like a B-movie bog monster. I stood for a moment, clothes and hair dripping before wringing out my hair with embarrassment. Still mostly sopping wet, I squelched my way over to the creature, who was now grooming.

"Stay back! I, Thegalym am a powerful Ahzenai and I'm not afraid to whoop on you!" I stopped for a moment. The voice was distinctly masculine, but... "'Whoop on you...?'" I muttered. My face broke into a smile. I began walking closer to see if he would really "whoop on me." Still grinning, I asked, "So Thegalym, was it? Hi! Are you going to whoop on me now?" He was difficult to take seriously, especially with the purple swirly pelt. I giggled a bit, reached into my backpack, and pulled out a sopping wet, mewling, warm kitten. It gave me an evil glare and dripped miserably as I held it by the scruff of its neck. "Here, Thegalym. Try whooping on this kitten. I dare you." I challenged, holding it out towards him. "Well, if you don't, you can have it as a gift anyway." The kitten mewled pleadingly.

My headphones rumble but i still mange to hear the world around me i eye the new Ahzenai a female and a male. Both very different from each other.I watch the male curiuos i enjoy how sloppy he was like a lost puppy. But the female strike the ball for me how she walk and her colors what made me even more echancted was the red slapsh on her chest was it like my mask? Something that you where just given that you don't know why? Yet you will have it forever because it's a part of you? Or was it something she earned? In fight or maybe in a accident. Then again it may just be natrual and i'm over thinking.Like usaully I thought I pulled my headphones around my neck to hear her more clearly.

"I'm Adethea," she said boldly. "I like staying in Ahzen, so if you want me to come with you, answer me this: What can you offer me, that I don't already have here?"

Wow someone gotton stick up there I pulled the neck on my collar thinking about the challage before me Why do i always go the hard way? sighing i approached the female quickly, as sson i began walking to her, her red eyes look at me and threw me. I didn't become nervous when faced with a challage look it in teh face. Thats what everyone told me that's what i do. Monkey see monkey gonna do.As i drifted back into the real world or what this really was that i was just beganing to learn about. I saw her do something that look to be frown and under my mask i did the same.What is it that she has to look down opon, who is she to judge when her coat is mess with a one red speck? I foused and still approached she seemed to be testing me becuase when i began to move again her eyes squinted as if saying You sure? I nodded my head and her eyes opened wider and she twisted her body to fully face me.

From the vortex padded forth a female Ahzenai, she was gray along her back and face and a had a shocking splash of red marking her chest. Black stripes crossed her lower back and ran along her sides and thighs. She held her head level with her body and examined the area, spotting many people wandering around Ahzen. At first she was confused why their were so many people but then she remembered the age old tradition of Ahzen and of the Ahzenai. 'To seek companionship with a human or other creature and to live as long as said friend so that neither one of the pair shall be lonely and without the other.' That was fine by her as some Ahzenai loved to leave and see the world, but she liked it just fine in Ahzen, and there were plenty of humans here to play with. Though she did have to admit, it would get boring staying inside all the time. Perhaps leaving would be good? In any case she could always come back if she decided she didn't like it. She wouldn't let no human control what she did, no-sir-ree!

"It better be worth it," she snorted before deciding to take this 'wooing' business into her own paws. She padded up to a human and made her introduction.

"I'm Adethea," she said boldly. "I like staying in Ahzen, so if you want me to come with you, answer me this: What can you offer me, that I don't already have here?"

She gestured to the cave behind her, which offered shelter, food, water and the necessities of life.

Awoken from her peaceful slumber, Bliss opened her strangely colored eyes. Beside her, Amaranta stirred, her blue eyes opening and focusing on another Ahzenai, a female that had just emerged from the swirling vortex. Standing, Bliss looked into the females eyes, stunned by their bright crimson. The Ahzenai introduced herself, stating that her name was Adethea. Bowing, Bliss nodded politely, her eyes focusing on the stunning spot on her chest before she brought them back to the equally startling eyes.

"I am Bliss, Adethea. I can offer you nothing that you need, as everything for a safe life lies here, in this cave. However, I can offer beautiful landscapes and haunting scenes. I can offer you art, and the lands that I go to in order to draw them. I can offer you close companionship in both myself and my friend, Amaranta. Or, should you prefer it, I can provide you distance. If you travel with me, what you do shall be up to you, as I shall be little more than a friend, not a master. You can help me discover art-worthy designs, pose for the easel, or you could simply spend hours lazing away in my home. Amaranta will always be able to provide a debate, if you are interested in proving the logic of others. The choice lies with you, noble Adethea."

Bowing once more, Bliss gazed at the Ahzenai, waiting for her to make her choice. Amaranta arose as well, looking at the new female with interest. She would not mind another companion, should she choose it, but she wouldn't mind if the Ahzenai said no. A life of art wasn't for everyone, and it might hold little or no interest for this Ahzenai. Bliss's fingers were already itching for a paintbrush. The element-less Ahzenai seemed to be unusual, as most had a colorful element hovering over their shoulders. This simply served to make her more interesting however, as it held her apart. The crimson spot on her chest was interesting as well, reminding her of a bird she had seen in her travels.

Deciding to seize the moment, Bliss removed a small sketchbook from a bag she was carrying, the paper nearly larger than her torso. She crouched with it on the ground, her ever-present pencil brought out from her pocket to sketch Adethea's likeness. She made the figure swirly, the lines smooth and rounded. Never before had she sketched an Ahzenai, even Amaranta. Her companion kept her sharp, always surprising her with a debate about some topic or another. Although Amaranta loved to admire work, she wasn't exactly photogenic, and would find something more interesting to do once Bliss brought out the easel or sketchpad. Finishing, she was quite pleased with the overall design, and hesitant to color it, lest it mess the picture up. Turning her eyes on Adethea's face, she left it up to her. "Would you mind standing while I colored it?" With this she revealed the sketch to the Ahzenai with a slight flourish, although her eyes were slightly anxious, hoping it would be to her liking.
