Someone asked me earlier about exactly how I go about judging, and I feel that I should explain.
Lirrie and I make the final choices; yes; but I like to have a "network" of others to offer opinions and suh. As I see it; the more opinions in the mix, then the less chance of biased desicions. And I hate biased decisions. :p

Age: Unknown. Probably near 3000 years.
Why do you want this animal? : She's the perfect design for a character i desperately need. Her design express everything i want the character to be and just fits perfectly.
What will you do for this animal? : Probably quite a few stories, maybe some roleplays (since i don't RP with story characters quite often), but i'm sure she'll have something to do with me.
Personality: Since Jai has existed since 1000 years before Christ, her way of speaking and her habits may seem a bit unusual to others. She's very polite, she never speaks without any reason and it's really difficult to understand her sometimes. She's shy, though never nervous, which indicates that she's quite confident. She knows how to interact with people, and it's rare to see her being angry or upset. She's calm, controlled and she knows how to behave. She likes to keep a lot of things to herself, so nobody really knows much about her.
Dislikes&Likes: Peace, silence, being alone or with someone really close to her. Likes protecting others and doing good for them, even if they don't know it was her. She loves to make people smile, she likes to express herself by painting. She loves healthy food, like fruits and so, she never eats meat, only fish if she can. She never listens to music. Never. She doesn't like being in a large group of people, or in cities. She prefers nature.
Histroy/Backround: Jai was created through an african ritual. She was supposed to be the protective spirit of the tribe with a few other animals. They lived in in a place where the nature was untouched by the humans. The humans believed there was a spirit living in the forest, so they didn't want to interrupt it and they kept away. Soon, humans from America came to investigate the species and the nature in the forest. They found some plants, that could produce something rock like or so. The scientists said it was worth a fortune. Then the horror began. The scientists wanted to get the tribe out of there, so they could start growing the plant and making money. The tribe refused to leave. Their life was a living hell now. The greedy humans tried to scare them away by burning their huts, killing their animals and destroying their food. Most of the tribe soon died, only a few were left. Jai did everything to help, but she didn't have so much power to stop them. Soon, the tribe was gone. And, since Jai wasn't their spirit anymore, the ritual told her to go to the souls of the leaders of the tribe. So, she traveled, until she reached the Wyiok, the Resting Place in the tribe's language. When she and of course, the other protector animals met the leader, he said to them, that they had to decide. They had a chance of becoming real animals, existing creatures. The other option was to live with them in there. Everyone else picked living there, but Jai, no... She decided to be mortal, as she always had dreamed of a real life. She didn't care if she needed to die soon, she wanted to live. The leader of the tribe was surprised and proud of Jai. He released her, giving her the power of healing. When Jai's legs first touched the ground, she was weak. Her legs weren't used to carry a body, since she had been light as feather when she was a spirit. Soon, she got used to walking, eating and hunting. he only hunted for fish, though, as her instincts told her not to harm those, who live on land with her. She learned how to interact with others, and made her first friend. It was a bird, a robin.. The bird didn't understand Jai's language, still, they understood each other by body gestures. Jai often had stories to tell him, while he listened. The other time, the bird sang to Jai. That was the only time she actually listened to music. Soon, the bird just disappeared. Jai didn't know where, or why, he just was gone. She made a promise to herself then. That she would never bond with people or creatures, so she'd never get hurt. She left the past behind, and took a journey to a foreign land. She didn't know where she was going, she just wanted to get away from there. She travelled for quite a time. About three months until settling down. She found herself a nice place in a forest with a small lake. There lived some creatures on the same territory as Jai, but she tried to stay away from them. One night, Jai couldn't sleep. There was this strange feeling in her heart, so she went out and laid on the ground by the lake. She watched the reflection of the moon from the lake. It was a clear and a beautiful night. She was like fallen asleep while her eyes open. Soon, she noticed someone's silhouette behind her. She saw it from the reflection on the surface of the water. She was calm and didn't care much. The creature came closer. She was quite sure it was a wolf, but not entirely. As the creature came closer, Jai lifted her head up. She didn't quite understand who it was, so she stood up and looked behind. It was a wolf indeed, with a leopard's tail. He looked royal and handsome, but Jai held herself back. She didn't say anything, and staid silent. So did the wolf in front of her. They just stared at each other for a while, then the stranger laid down, looking at the water. So did Jai. She still didn't say anything, waiting to be spoken to. Fifteen minutes later, the stranger finally spoke. "Could i spend the night here?" He asked, politely, smiling. "If you wish to" Jai said, smiling, though trying not to. She felt like she was bonding with someone again. She tried not to bother herself with it, and fell asleep. The stranger came closer to her, and did the same. In the morning, Jai woke up next to him, and on her opinion, too close to him. She enjoyed the moment though, until he woke up. Then, she was right on her feet, looking at the stranger. Before walking away to gather food, she asked "May i know, what'd be your name?" The stranger got up, and smiled. "Raio. It's a pleasure to meet you, ...." "Jai." She smiled to Raio and looked back once more before walking away. Raio drank from the lake and headed his own way. Jai's heart was bleeding because of him, but she pushed it aside. The next night, Jai went by the lake again. She couldn't forget him. When she was about to fall asleep, a voice behind her said "We meet again...". Yes, it was him. Jai stood up to greet Raio. She smiled. This time, she was more open and she had a long conversation with him. When Raio asked, who does Jai live with, she sighed and told the truth. "Why?" Raio asked. Jai explained what happened to the bird. Raio smiled warmly, stood up and said goodbye. Before leaving, he asked: "Is it better to live without love, or with the chance of getting hurt and loving someone? Just think about it" He said, and walked away. When he was gone, Jai laid her head on her front legs, and was deep in her thoughts. She had to admit, it was true. Love was worth the chance of getting hurt. All the next day, Jai waited for Raio to come in the evening, but he never came. He didn't arrive the next night, or the night after it. "So it happened again" Jai thought, laying by the lake. She waited for the silhouette behind her, the soft voice... She fell asleep. Waking up in the morning, she smiled seeing him next to her. When her mind was clear, she jumped up. It was him. She walked around him, not understanding why he didn't woke up. With her nose, she turned his head on the other side, seeing a massive wound on his neck. Jai fell down, looking at him. She placed her forehead on the wound, praying for it to work. Blue light came out of the wound. It went smaller and smaller, until vanishing. Raio, opening his eyes, seeing Jai. He smiled, not remembering anything. Jai told him, and took care of him for the next few weeks, because he was still weak. They came really close.
