Name You'd Choose for It: Kachine {Kah-Chee-Neh} -Means 'Sacred Dancer' In Native American.
Gender: Female
Reason You Want It: Oh wow, this girlie really caught my eye, I've been trying to resist her for a while, but when I saw her revamp I just fell in love even more- she's absolutely stunning- I'd take great care of her. She'd have a character thread and have art drawn of her daily, she'd also be a character in a series of short stories I've been writing.
History/Background/Other:

It was crisp outside, but the sun was bright enough to ward off any ill effects. The plants did not seem to care much about the snap on the breeze; leafy and green, they were ready to experience spring in all its glory. There was little snow about, and for that Kachine could only feel grateful. While she had no problem walking through the slush that came with spring, she was thankful she did not have to do so. It was late enough now that most of it had already run into the lakes and rivers and there it would stay until next winter when it began again to fall as snow. She rather enjoyed firm ground under her paws. The mushy gunk that had been the norm for her days had greatly lowered out his enjoyment of the sunshine. But this area was dry and, for the most part, warm. She lifted her nose, dragging in the scents around her from the erratic wind. No strangeness met her muzzle, just the unusual smell of a new place. It was a new area for her, and she wished to explore it. The mountain had been a sort of beacon after she had left the pass. She'd decided to start here - one because it was close, and two because she liked the looks of it. It was a large thing, a landmark she wouldn't forget anytime soon, and when she'd traveled over here she had found the earth dry and the air - if not the breeze - warm. She felt it important to come here and she wasn't one to kick a feeling when it made itself known. She understood well and good that some things just couldn't be explained. She wasn't all that worried about why she'd been drawn here, nor was she in any sort of rush. She may be looking for a home, but Kachine had never been one to travel with any real hurry. She had a vague goal in mind, and when she found the end of it, she'd know.

She mewled at herself, aware she'd been standing and thinking for the past ten minutes. While she wasn't in a hurry, she knew she was just wasting time she could spend finding out why she'd traveled here. Her fur prickled as the wind blew again and she frowned as a hunk of it fell to the ground. Her winter coat had been thick, the shock of any sort of cold weather enough to have her system freaking out. Now she was a mess, the tufts of downy underfur clumping and falling out at the slightest provocation. She sighed and watched the fur roll away on another breeze. She shook quickly, a mist of hair taken cover. She sneezed and moved a few steps away. Every other cat she'd seen looked exactly like her. This molting was uncomfortable, to be honest, but it was normal. Or...it would be if she'd been this far north for years instead of a few months. She rather enjoyed the absence of the need for a winter coat. She lifted a leg to scratch at her belly with blunt claws. More fur came out, but not it wads. This portion of her body was smoother then her back and sides. Once finished, she moved forwards and away. She'd end up sneezing again if she remained there. And anyway, she'd rather not sit staring at the mountain all day when she'd traveled to see it. The ground under paw was grassy and mossy, and few trees broke the stretch of landscape. Bushes were more common, and their flowers were thriving, brightly colored spotlights in the green. It was rather beautiful, to be honest. Kachine had forgotten how joyful it was to see life bloom once more after a harsh winter. It made one appreciate those things much more.

Her ears angled back at the alarm call of a bird, but it went quiet soon after and she didn't worry about it. Her bright eyes flicked toward the mountain peak again and this time her body followed the look. She settled into a trot, tail swinging from side to side behind her. It was an easy pace that allowed her to take in the sights instead of just traveling. Very little thought made their appearance in her mind. She recorded what she passed, enjoying the grass and shrubs, and making small choices on which way she should go. Her brain calmed and she relaxed, letting her body do the work. Time passed swiftly this way, and soon enough the mountain was spearing high above her. It was a hulking shadow on the land, the sun having slid behind a little before. She squinted up at it as she slowed to a walk. She didn't want to climb it, doubted he really could get most of the way up, but she liked the looks of the thing, even with the absence of details the dim light caused. What had brought her here had yet to show itself, so she took one last look up and loped forward, following the line of shrubs before they gave way to mountain shale. Her paws gripped true, even when she had to bound up the slope a few yards to avoid a hold in the path. She was quick to snap up a meal when her motions sent a flurry of birds out of the brush. Feathers settled onto the ground as she slowed to a trot, pleased with herself as only a hunter can be. A trophy, really, and not much of a meal, but she was not starving. The thrill had just been too much for her to not go after the snack.

She headed up the mountain, squinting to see farther into the distance. A stretch of blue coloured the horizon- a lake? It was a lead and she was thirsty so she headed in that direction. The thump of the adrenaline against her chest was something to push her forward. The sooner she got there the sooner she'd get to eat her meal. She was quiet as she moved through the brush, slower now that there was more plant growth she could run into. And she didn't want to trip over any stones or roots. She moved slow not just to be deliberate, but to make up for her flighty behaviour. Though her pace was cut in half, she smelled the water soon enough and cheered silently for it. Not a wasted effort then. She grinned through the carcass in her mouth, leaping ahead a bit faster to reach her goal. No smells but that of her intended meal filled her nose, but she didn't worry about that. Her ears and eyes would be enough. She reached the waters edge quickly, stones clacking under her paws. The bird was dropped carelessly and she leaned over to take a few, quick laps. The water was cold, no doubt from ice run off. She shivered lightly as it hit her gut, but took a few more mouthful before lifting her head. Water dripped off Kachine's chin as she scanned the bank. She blinked, clearing her eyes a little. Nothing moved that she could tell and her swiveling ears picked up little. Satisfied, she picked up the bird, following the waters edge to find a good, sheltered place to feast. She concentrated on her steps, the rocks an effort she'd normally avoid.

She huffed out a breath as she moved a little away. A whiff of scent hit her nose and her gaze jerked up, just in time for an errant rock to catch his foot. She swore through the feathers, a grumbling sound of annoyance as half her body slipped forward. Rocks clattered gaily around her, as if pleased with their destruction. She grunted as her shoulder hit the ground in a shuffle of movement. She spat the bird out, lips rolling back in a grimace of pain as she shifted her back so she could stand again. Her eyes then flicked about and noticed the curious form of cat. A sigh escaped her. Great, she'd had to be caught bumbling around like a kitten. She snapped her teeth closed, and got up quickly, ignoring the throb in her shoulder. She sent a brief glance at the male cat, offering a slightly sheepish grin at her own fall. She let only his toes cling to the earth, waiting till the pain died down. She'd never live it down if she injured herself on rocks. She wondered if the male - she'd realized this after another breath - was at all angered by her sudden entrance. True she couldn't have helped it, but really, who wanted this sort of thing to happen to them? She cleared her throat in the brief silence before speaking. "Sorry to fall in on you, sir" She spoke, flashing a small smile. Might as well joke it off, she decided.

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it. Definately.

Pet's ID Tag:
Kennel Twenty-Six Sanka

Name You'd Choose for It:
Dazurai (Dah-zoo-ray)
Gender:
Female
Reason You Want It:
Recently I've toyed with the name Dazurai and thought about making a character with it, kind of a foreignish character but when I did make the character, my computer got a virus and I lost the one pic I had of her. I was looking through your kennels for a possible different character and found Sanka and thought that the design would make a good Dazurai design.
History/Background/Other:
"Dazurai. Dazurai. Dazurai!! Wake up." A sharp voice barked from somewhere to Dazurai's right. Dazurai woke up and shook her head barking. She hated being in these kennels more than anything in the world but hey, there was talk of a save the world mission. It sounded interesting but how could anyone know if it was the real deal. The sharp tapping of high heeled shoes came down the corrider and all the dogs and cats in the kennels sat up, alert. Dazurai watched the woman that was dressed in black as she ran her manicured nails along the cage bars, making several dogs jump at the cage door when the woman passed. She paused, about four cages to the right of Dazurai. The she-cat in the kennel straightened up her posture and held her chin high in hopes of getting chosen. The woman shook her head at the she-cat and went the next four cages and paused at the cage column. The woman scanned the column starting from the top and slowly working her way to Dazurai's cage which was fourth down from the top. The woman paused at the cage above Dazurai and she could hear the doberman pinscher above her inhale sharplyl. The doberman's name was Spike and he knew his stuff but sometimes he was a bit off task and could get in major trouble. The woman shook her head and went on. She paused again at Dazurai and shook her head before going and unlocking Spike's cage and then unlocking the she-cat's, Zuri, cage and finally unlocked Dazurai's cage. She pulled Spike down and leashed him and put a muzzle on him. Next, the woman grabbed Zuri and put her on a harnessed leash before grabbing Dazurai and putting her on a leash without bothering to put a muzzle on her. The woman took the two dogs and cat into the green room where the boss sat behind the desk that seperated the big seat from the seat that the boss sat in and the seats that the dogs and cat would sit in. The woman would stand to the side during the briefing. Rumor had it that the woman was the boss's wife but that was hear say so no one truely believed it. The woman closed the door and the briefing began. Ten minutes later, the trio emerged from the green room and started down the hall. Spike no longer had on a muzzle so he was talking animatedly while Zuri was listening but Dazurai didn't listen, she was focused on the mission ahead. She, along with Spike and Zuri would have the biggest mission, most important.

(this may be the end but it may not be.)

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

Gah~ o3o Total work in progress! <33

pet's ID tag:
#36. [Number thirty-six]

reason you want it:
I do not have any feline characters and that I've actually been looking for some. When browsing through the Agency's kennels, I saw this boy, Fiore. At first, I would stare at him for minutes at a time, trying to debate if I wanted this boy. But, when I saw this revamp, I fell head over heels for him. His design is just perfect for the story I've had planned, and all the other revamps helped me create his story. I have so many text to text and text to self connections, that it's almost strange. He reminds me of a kitten with my life. It's quite exciting to know that there is something out there with a life like mine. It entertains me.

Also, he design is /gorgeous/. I love the pallet of the oranges and the white is such a simple but pretty accent. The markings on him are so simple, that they seem natural, and I adore normal designs, or designs that you could find in nature. This pleases my eye, and strangely relaxes me. He makes me smile.

I think it would also be a great experiance to write about him because I've never written a story of a cat. Just dogs and humans. I enjoy typing very much, and I could have plots with him and his persian companion. I feel so intertwined with this story and Raisu, which only makes me more and more close to him.
Image

name you'd choose for it:
Raisu. Meaning 'rice' in Japanese. Pronouced 'rye-soo'.

alias':
Rai, Raisu-chan, Raisu-kun, Susu. All pet names for Raisu, and honorific versions of his real name. Pronounced as so: 'rye, rye-soo chan, rye-soo kuhn, soo-soo'.

gender:
Male, however his master's daughter refers to him as 'she', but only when he is being forced to be a maiden at a tea-party. Sometimes he is often mistaken for a female because he lacks the grown maturity of a tom because he is not thrown in with the speed of Earth.

age:
He's a little over one and a half, so he's almost at his physical maturity point. In human years, he'd be almost twenty.

species:
A European Shorthair.

habitat:
An apartment in Tokoyo, Japan with his master and his master's family.
Image

personality:
Raisu is a curious cat that just wants to know the whole world. He's michevious, but not intentionally. Usually it's just his regular agenda of snooping around the suburban neighborhood where the apartment is settled. Rai is constantly getting into trouble because he tends to wander off and get into things just because he wonders what they are. He doesn't ever like getting in trouble because his punishment, like his master's daughter, and a firm spank and thrown in a room, locked away. However, since the poor cat is quite oblivous and sometimes quite unfocused, he'll end up finding something to amuse him in the room, which of course only gets him in more trouble.

Still, Raisu has the biggest heart any feline could attain. He doesn't care if you beat him to death, he'll still love you with all his heart. This makes him a very loyal tom, usually always keeping watch on the youngsters because he feels that this, this "babysitting" is his job. Though he makes the very best of it and usually ends up as a fairy princess.

Susu is a naive kitty, never quite paying attention, there's always something else on his mind. He is determind to complete whatever he started, even if it demands setting something back in his schedule. Very perserverant, Rai would never give up. A courageous cat that doesn't not know how to stop, but knows when to keep going.

likes and dislikes:

likes-
Raisu likes many things because of his big heart, but he adores family the most. His life with his has been very happy and peaceful, because he knows that his owners love and care for him. Rai enjoys being with them all around and simply being patted because of a good deed he has done. The tom respects and appreciates what they have done for him by taking him in, and with forever let them hold that over his head if it is needed.

dislikes-
Raisu hates riots. He detests pain, despises hatred towards others, he simply doesn't appreciate anything cruel in the world. Susu doesn't understand all the bad in the world, and doesn't get why is has to be there. 'Just dissapear' he says to it. The tom fears the most that this pain, this hatred, with break up his most prized possesion; his family.
Image

history:
[white persian + adventure]

The small orange kitten was seized by a teenager, who cooed over the silky fur and newly opened spring green eyes staring back up at him. The gleam of the fresh white fur dappling the head of the tom, covering two paws and the soft, frail belly of the newborn. The young man rubbed the skull of the creature gingerly and tucked the kitten deep into his black wool coat. He ran off, removing himself from the park where he found the kit laying in the grass, alone and desperate.

----

“Mom!!” The young boy shouted as he threw himself into the apartment door.

“Yes, what is it, Kunio?” The mother replied, still focusing on the rice cooking in the steamer. The child shoved his hands into his coat and gently pulled out the kitten that had fallen asleep. The mother turned to look at her son and saw this invader, this pest, in her child’s hands.

“Kunio!” She screamed, “What is this thing?! Where have you brought it from?”

“Mom, Mom, calm down. It’s just a little kitten.” He stroked the feline’s fur. “Can we keep him?” He glanced back up at his shaking mother. “Please?” The woman sighed, and ended her quivering. She stared at the cat; it was so small, obviously the runt of the litter, and cocked her head. Her son was holding the creature so softly as if he could crush it with a single poke.

“We’ll have to talk to your father,” she gave in. Kunio’s mouth opened wide, and he ran over to his mother, embracing her, keeping the kitten out of the way. Kaori, the mom, chuckled.

“Kaori, do you think we can afford this cat?! I’m working full-time each and every day, and we can still hardly pay our bills! And Kunio with have to go with your parents because of this!” He noted his wife’s large stomach, and the sleeping baby forming inside. “You know they’re allergic, what are we supposed to do with it then?!” Ukon shouted. Kaori kept her head down.

“It’s so fragile, Ukon. It won’t last another day without him,” she mumbled. Her spouse sighed as he rubbed his temples.

“Fine. Fine, he can keep the cat. But you must search for a job, because I cannot make enough for the pest,” the male grumbled. “But it will go to her when he moves out and into your parents’ custody.” Kaori nodded and rubbed her belly; the baby girl inside was due soon…

----

“Thank you, Kunio will be so happy.” Ukon’s wife stood on her toes and kissed his cheek, then turned and waddled to her son’s room. It was a modern room full of black, boxy furniture and beige carpet and pale blue walls. A seemingly cozy room, it was often clean due to Kunio’s organized nature.

“Mom,” Kunio smiled, petting the purring kitten on the comforter set on the bed. “What is the news?” He stared at his mother and grasped the small kitten, cradling it in his arms.

“Your father says it is alright.” Kunio squealed with joy and rushed over to his mother with a hug, and showed her the kitten once more. “But I must find a job, and it will go to your sister when you move out,” Kaori added.

“Yes, yes, that is fine. Do you want to know his name? Well do you—do you?” Kunio practically jumped up and down with the tom suddenly aware of the event. Kaori didn’t get to respond before her son began talking once more. “It is Raisu, y’know, rice? Because when I came home, you were cooking rice.” His mother laughed and patted Raisu’s head.

“Very pretty,” Kaori giggled, kissing Raisu’s skull. “Raisu, Rai, dear Susu, Susu~” She sang happily. Her son laughed in
response, and the two plus Raisu danced the whole night away.

----

“C’mon, Abura! We must hurry before the Fish Market opens!” Raisu meowed to his chubby white Persian friend. The bigger cat was gasping for air behind Rai, his stubby legs barely able to keep up. But the thought of fish made him go one. Normally every day the two felines would get to the Fish Market before they opened, and they’d both be given some spam for no charge on their owners. However, today Abura had slept in and made them lag behind on their agenda.

“I-can’t-run-any-more!” Abura gagged. Raisu rolled his eyes and rushed onward, knowing his friend would get to the Fish Market eventually. He zipped along the tar roads and turned a corner, nearing the marker. He could smell the fresh fish—oooh how he loved it.

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it. Of course; I am even very close to Ninjutsu, so if anything impossible happens, I can notify her, or vice versa. Rare scenario~

I have a question about this donation~
Image
The revamp made her a cat, and I'd really like to adopt her as one, but the preferences say that she has to stay a chicken, so I'm a little bit confused ;3
