Why do you want this goennec?:
One of the simplest reasons I want Luno is because I like his relatively simple looking design. Luna moths are beautiful and unique moths, and I feel Luno's design captures their essence quite well. I also like the color green, but that is not the main reason I want him.

On another level, Luno has been ignored for the majority of the week. I figured he would have plenty of competition since everyone on the livestream seemed to love luna moths, so I had resolved to either go for another goey or keep out of this round for fear of competition. My computer was being repaired until Thursday, so I couldn't really keep up with the forms in this thread. Realizing he's been ignored this entire time saddens me. I should have decided to go for him from the beginning and given myself time to work on his form on paper until I got my computer back. I understand how it feels to be chosen last, and I feel like I've connected with him more because of that understanding.

How would you use this character?:
I would use Luno as a member of my herd. He would be my third goey, so he would be used in art and short stories just like Heiwa and Damia. I'm thinking of writing a tentative backstory of my herd to the point of Heiwa's arrival once I get a prime, a couple more soldiers, and possibly a couple of peasants. Luno would definitely have a part focused on himself.

I'm also thinking about joining the goey rp with Heiwa and Damia, and Luno would definitely be included in my rp characters. I am weary of joining the rp because I tend to disappear a lot and I haven't rped in a while, but the goey rp really interests me, and I've been able to keep up with at least six characters at one time, so I'd definitely be able to give Luno as well as my other two equal love and attention on the rp.

Finally, he would join Heiwa and Damia in my rotating signature. They are also, slowly going to find a place on my character website. I'm just slow at updating that site.

Define your Goennec:

Personality:

Introvert: Luno doesn't speak as much as other goennecs in his herd. He prefers to listen to his herdmates' complaints and opinions throwing in his own opinion if he feels like it's important. He prefers to have a small, solid circle of friends within the herd, but he will speak to anyone that starts a conversation with him first. He doesn't hate being in the group, however. He just feels really crowded if everyone is trying to talk to him at once. As for his normal social interactions, he tries to avoid Damia because her headstrong personality tends to wear him out rather quickly. However, he really enjoys hanging around Heiwa and listening to talk about the clouds because Heiwa is far more relaxed and open to both dominating the conversation and long periods of companionable silence.

Timid: Luno's introversion comes from him being naturally timid around others. As a kid, Luno would make quite a few mistakes during his battle training before understanding what his father was trying to teach him. These mess ups put him as the center of attention in group training and made him the subject of taunting from some of the other kids (especially Damia). The self-consciousness from his mistakes grew with his age and reinforced his rather shy nature around others. He always feels like he'd being judged when the herd's attention is on him. This is another reason he avoids Damia and enjoys being around Heiwa.

Clumsy: Luno's trouble with battle training stems from a natural clumsiness. His clumsiness was really bad in his first year causing him to trip over his own hooves more than once as well as completely missing his opponent in battle training. For half his first year the prime considered placing him in the peasant tier (much to his father's dismay), but Luno begged the prime to give him a chance. The prime admired his persistence and granted him the position of soldier, though he watches Luno quite closely (making Luno uncomfortable). Luno has tried to curb his clumsiness since then but still has quite a few moments of general clumsiness.

Persistent:Despite his timidity and self-consciousness around his herdmates, Luno is intent on proving himself as a qualified soldier. He never gave up on his training even when he was taunted for his clumsiness and seeming lack of fighting ability. A few herdmates of his age group still seem to judge his lower skill level and his self-consciousness holds him back, but he tries as hard as he can to get above his low reputation. Unfortunately, he has made little progress despite his persistence and is often slowed down by others' perceived judgments of him.

Kindhearted: Luno is naturally gentle towards others, though he doesn't show it when he's being judged. Luno's the type of goennec to worry about an injured herdmate even if he's not fond of him or her. His compassion is illustrated in the fact he often tries to help Damia when her recklessness gets her injured despite the fact her personality is so off-putting and judgmental towards him. His kindness is unlike Heiwa's, however, because he is not a pacifist and is willing to hurt an invader with little regret.

Likes:

Night: Luno's mother named him for his love of the moon. Luno often sits in a safe area near the herd to enjoy the warm breezes of summer or the clear skies of winter. He has earned himself the duty of night sentry because of his night owl tendencies. Some of his herdmates complain that he's not the best soldier to leave in charge of night protection (flustering Luno from their judgments) but the prime and prince both find him highly competent in this area.

Clear Skies: One major thing Luno and Heiwa disagree about is whether clear skies or skies with puffy clouds are better. While Heiwa uses cloud gazing to de-stress, Luno loves to see the crisp blue of clear skies. Luno finds Heiwa's interpretations of the clouds interesting, but clouds make think that rain might be coming, and Luno hates rain.

Bird Songs: Luno loves to listen to the chirps of birds in the area. They put him in a good mood, and he can usually identify what type of bird the calls come from. He's also the first to notice when the birds seem to be freaked out about something.

Dislikes:

Rain: Luno hates being wet and rain water is no exception. Luno will often be found trying to keep as dry as possible when it rains, but he usually fails at staying completely dry and acts somewhat like a soaked cat. Rain puts him in a bad mood and can sometimes override his introversion and timidity with snappy comments towards anyone who mocks his hatred of wet fur.

Being Center of Attention: As mentioned, Luno hates being anywhere near the center of attention. He prefers the blend in approach to herd life rather than the stand out as much as you can way of life. This dislike conflicts with his need to prove himself, and his accomplishments are often left unnoticed by the goennecs he's trying to impress.

Being Judged: Judgment is the quickest way to put Luno down even during the occasions when his accomplishments are noticed. Luno doesn't realize that some of her agemates judge him just to see his reaction and might not actually think so badly about him.

Why wouldn't I want her is probably a better question; the answer of course being there is no reason. I loved her the moment she was put up, yet instead, I chose others. Now, I'm very happy to get this chance to give her a home she truly deserves. Every round she stayed made me feel quite bad for her, and I finally felt the need to make this form. I just hope it's enough to get her to join my meager herd.

Everyone has someone that just annoys the heck out of them, and that would be her role in Cameo's arc. Her and Cameo just don't get along, which causes some amusing scenes between the two. Of course, I may actually RP her, though, once again, my skills are extremely rusty, but I might be willing to try. And, of course, she'd be a welcome addition to my character site. <3
