I will be here
when you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you

You’ll never know what hit you
Won’t see me closing in
I’m gonna make you suffer
This hell you put me in
I’m underneath your skin
The devil within
You’ll never know what hit you

I tried to be the lover to your nightmare
Look what you made of me
Now I’m a heavy burden that you can’t bear
Look what you made of me
Look what you made of me
I’ll make you see

Code drop posted. Congrats, winner. c:
C'mon, guys. ^^ Summer vacation now, so we'll all be expecting longer, better, winning forms! ^u^

Good luck with the new round, everyone. Once Pix updates the first post and the kennels, we'll be good to go.

So are we allowed to post new forms now, or should we wait for the front to be updated? I'm definitely going in on this round. ^^

Hmmm... as long as you acknowledge that Kennel 17 no longer belongs to the agency and no one tries to fill out a form for her before Pix has a chance to remove her, I don't have a problem with you posting your form(s) now. c:

Go ahead; looking forward to seeing some more of your writing here. ^^;

Show name:
Toy Soldier

Name:
Solly

Gender:
Stallion

Species:
Equine

Breed:
Dutch Warmblood

Kennel Number:
#40

Why would you like this character:
I would like to care for Solly because he is stunning and I need more male characters. Not just that but because I love him and his design and I would love to give him a home with me.

Use:
I plan on keeping Solly for stories mainly but that doesn't mean I wont order/draw art of him. That would be unfair to him.

Personality:
Solly is a gentle stallion, very eager to please. When he is excited it can be impossible to calm him down, it would take a lot of luck to actually manage to keep all four of his feet on the ground. He can be timid, especially in training, he has his doubts when he sees a pole that is raised over 1 meter which is why he was trained in dressage. He will always stand up for what he believes is the better option, not really caring if it's right or wrong.

History:
As my eyes began to adjust to the darkness, I became colder than before. I missed the warmth of my mother, and I couldn't find her in this cold, dark world. Letting out a loud whinny as I paced around the small box, I realized I couldn't see the sky like in the meadow with the other colts and fillies. A loud honking noise came from somewhere outside the four walls I was trapped in. Deciding to sleep my small legs collapsed underneath me, and my head fell to the itchy straw beneath me.

"Bring the crates onto shore!" I woke up to that voice, yelling orders at others like the voice, I could hear feet or possibly paws shuffling and then my small box lurched, sending my tired body flying towards the other wall with a loud thud.
"What was that? Be careful, these aren't snowflakes, they're living animals. We need them alive for their owners," the voice yelled again as I was lowered onto something with wheels. The rest of the trip, I was wheeled across land, which for me was a relief, the sea had never made me comfortable. The sunlight began to peer through the cracks in my box and I felt tired again, realizing how little sleep I had gotten and slipped into a deep slumber.

It must have been nine hours later because when I woke, the sun was at its brightest. I felt the wheels below me stop moving and the box opened, I snorted at the light and stumbled into the corner as one more side of the box was opened. Ropes were tied tightly around my neck and I was pulled up from my sleeping position. I let out a weak whinny in protest but the rope only grew tighter around my neck as it began to dig deeper towards my flesh. My rebelling was accompanied by shouts of various men. Another rope was whacked against my side, sending me darting towards the exit of the box.

Soon enough I was in another enclosure, my legs sore from the long walk from my dark box. I was washed and groomed until I shone like the sun, it was uncomfortable in the new enclosure, but I wasn't in there for long any way. Soon I was lead out with a halter, which stung my nose with the smell of blood but it wouldn't matter, I knew what this was, an auction, my owner had been speaking of sending the "useless colts and fillies'' to one. Apparently, I was one of them. I was led into another dark room, the sun here was only in one spot that seemed to follow me wherever I went, one-way mirrors surrounded me so I wouldn't become spooked by the people I soon found where watching from the other side. About five minutes later I was led out of the dark room and back to the small enclosure.

---Three years later---

"Good boy, you did great today," my owner, Skylar, cooed to me while rubbing my neck with a gloved hand. The foam by my mouth showed signs of a long practice, we were preparing for a show. Skylar unmounted and led me to my stall. The scent of sugar filled my nose as Skylar took a sugar cube out of her magical pants.
"You really earned it today boy," her gentle voice floated through the air as I let the disintegrated sugar flow down my throat. Life couldn't be any more perfect than this moment. With one more pat on the neck, she was gone, her boots clicking against the paved barn isle. Until tomorrow, when we would perform in front of millions of people.

Our names were called and Skylar rode me out towards the arena, the letters so familiar to me, I hardly noticed them any more. This was it, my chance to shine. All of my attention on the rider on my back, ears pricked, ready for the smallest sign of what to do. I heard the audience go silent as I pranced towards the middle of the ring, Skylar bowed, and off we went. Pirouettes, collected gaits, extended gates, flying leads, half passes, anything that was possible for dressage was pretty much there. Adn quickly enough, I was standing in the center of the ring again, waiting for Skylar to tell me I could return to my comfy stall and relax.

It might have been three hours later, maybe four, when Skylar came rushing to tack me up again, I knew what this meant, we had won something. I stood still as she brushed me quickly and put the uncomfortable bit back in my mouth, waiting for her to mount. As we trotted off to wherever this award ceremony was being held, I could hear Skylar muttering to herself, I stopped and turned my head, nuzzling whatever part of her I could reach with my head and then turned back and continued to trot on. I could feel she relaxed herself in the saddle. Soon enough I could hear the impatient snorts of the other horses. As I rounded the final corner to the arena, a bright light blinded me. Skylar patted me and led me to where I was supposed to stand and I trusted her.

As I was led into my stall at home Skylar removed the blue ribbon from my halter and hung it up on the wall next to my stall. The trophy was to e put in the house for safety. She gave me the longest hug I'd ever gotten and kissed me on the nose. "Thank you so much boy, I couldn't have done this without you," she said with tears in her eyes. I snorted and nuzzled her shoulder in reply, happy that I was finally somewhere where I would be loved until my death. After that day, there was no one who could tear me and her apart, I followed her around like a puppy whenever she was in the stables and she knew that she could trust me enough to let me do so. There was no sickness or injury that we couldn't heal by spending time with each other. And that is how I went from useless, to the best companion anyone could have.

Name: Goliath

Gender: Male

Species: American Pit Bull Terrier

Kennel Number: 87

Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:
I love all animals truly, but pit bulls.... They are heart-breakingly beautiful—the good, the bad, and the ugly. They give you all their love unconditionally, regardless of how you treat them. They stand by you when the very earth shakes beneath their feet and everything else around you crumbles. American Pit Bull Terriers are an immovable force against an unstoppable object—the hate and judgment man. Perhaps I'm a sap, but this boy(because honestly I can't think of him as female) reminds me of the naivety and carefree lifestyle like that of a young child. You know, before you realized everything the world had to offer was not good, and that unfortunately, no, teenage mutant ninja turtles did not exist. I really want him because of that: the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. When you realize that it is not the end of the world even if it feels like it just because your day is going wrong. See, he's smiling even though he knows the size of the world's opposition against him. And despite this irrational factor and the likelihood that he won't succeed, he will carry on.
Goliath would get an admittedly cushy spot on my character thread, ordered art and possibly be put in a role play. I'm not much for role playing animal characters, but I definitely would if I had him.

Personality: When you first meet Goliath, he isn't very outgoing. He'll shy away from loud noise a stranger makes, bolt if they make a quick movement and overall have a low output of confidence in himself and others. His trust must be earned and that isn't an easy task. He is very standoffish with other unknown canines, though he doesn't run from them as he would a human or larger mammal. He will stand his ground, calm and proud, with little to no aggressiveness in his unyielding stance. After a day or two of seldom interaction with a stranger he may be inclined to linger around more often, and -if he finds them worthy- extend his friendship.

Goliath is a generally friendly dog once his trust is gained. He dislikes children and young animals, but isn't malicious if they annoy him. If one happens to pull an ear accidentally the very least he will do is get up and walk far away from the baby creature. He has a soft spot for kittens, for their independent nature and mischievous persona, and he likes to keep a nice distance from rowdy, romping puppies.

Goliath is very different from the impression one would get from his name. He's quite sweet, definitely not a giant. His heart is walled off from the world to protect himself from future pain, but sometimes... Sometimes someone will slip through the cracks and warm his weary soul. Few have made it so far, so close to his heart. Those that have will find endless loyalty in a faithful friend.
History:
Do not judge me for the failures of many, or for the accomplishments of one. Judge me alone, for I am like no other.

The earth was cruel, a place only for the strong where the weak were cast aside and forgotten. Rain came down in sheets; thick, fat drops stinging the hide of any unlucky creature stuck out in the weather. The ground was slick and wet, mud churning up brown puddles on the old, dirt road. The trees were heavy with rain, the branches bowing and swaying harshly with the sharp, cutting wind. Lightning flashed in vicious streaks across the dark clouds; even in the middle of the day the sky was dull and slate.

On the far side of the road, nestled in the short brush beneath the hanging branches of an oak, was the faint shape of an animal. Soaked to the bone and shivering, it was a pitiful sight. The regal, white colored face was a sad offset against its chocolate, guarded eyes. Mottled red and white marked the canine’s body in a splashed pattern, the faint scars on his back barely visible through the thick rain. They were small, thin slivers of hairless, raised flesh, not particularly gruesome but altogether thought-inspiring none the less.

Any normal person would automatically think that the poor beast had been through the heartless trials of dog fights. Upon a single glance at his face, the shape and distinctiveness of a much hated breed, they would assume he was a danger to their children, friends, and family. Without so much as a chance, they would turn their face away with a hardened heart a bone deep fear of the unknown. Some may have given him a pitying look; others, the grimace of unjustified hate.

He would be judged by a single glance, without a second to listen to his story. What looked to be long-healed injuries from the dog fighting ring was indeed a wrong assumption. And that would be the first thing many would assume. Instead, it was the love shown from his owners, a love that he craved and pined after. A love that was thrown in his face. His love for them, his humans, had been unending. And instead of returning that sweet, gracious love, they gave him hate and hurt. It was what fate had doled him, before they had dumped him on the one way to nowhere road. And still, despite their hate, he missed them. He missed the warmth and the dry and the feeling of a full stomach.

An old car clunked its way down the slick, muddied road, bumping along with the uneven path. The brake lights lit up as the car stopped not five feet from the dog, and a window slowly rolled down. The dog’s tail thumped, unheard in the pouring rain, as he saw the face of man. The car horn beeped loudly, frightening the timid canine into flinching, before an object was thrown from the window. It hit the dog’s paw cruelly and he yelped, backing away from the object that brought him hurt. The small, empty bottle wasn’t all that frightening up close. The car sped off after that, leaving the dog soaked to the bone and shivering in the elements.

It wasn’t long after when the sky ceased her tears; thunder rolled and rumbled across the earth as the water soaked into the ground. The canine huddled under the shelter of his tree as water drops trickled from the branches above him. The roar of an engine frightened him into shivers as a large truck traversed down the mud-churned road. A branch cracked and fell behind Goliath, spooking the dog into running into the middle of the road. He froze, staring down the beast that smelled of oil and metal. Breaks squealed as the truck came to a sliding stop, mud splashing everywhere. The horn blared as the driver leaned on the steering wheel, urging the stock-still dog to move it. He didn't.

The truck door opened and out popped a two-legged, walking through the mud with under-their-breath mumbles and groans. Goliath stared at the man, and the man stared at him. Long seconds went by, covered by quiet patience as the earth breathed.

"Well, now. What are you doing all the way out here?" the man asked, as if the dog would answer him. Goliath cocked his head to the side, tail thumping waywardly in the mud at the human's gentle tone. "Well, come on then, let's go," the man said softly, crouching and stretching out a hand. The pit bull was hesitant as first, watery eyes darting towards the forest, safety, and towards the human, danger. With faith, Goliath extended his nose and gingerly sniffed at the human's hand. His ears twitched when the man slowly reached to pet his head, expecting a harsh smack and cruel words. He didn't get them.

The earth was kind, a place where the weak received mercy and the strong thrived.

Don't judge me. You only know my face, not my story.
