Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:I've always been a big fan of pitbulls, and this one is drawn extremely well. I love it's coloring, as I've always been fond of realistic colors on animals, and would love to add him to my collection. I'd definitely get art ordered of him, as well as draw some myself. :] I might do roleplays using him, and I have a great idea for a story about his life that I may write as well. X]
Personality:Adela is quite affectionate towards his companions and family, and loves being around them. He's quite satisfied with simply being near them. Depite his friendliness towards his close friends and family, Adela has difficulty trusting new people. He's immensely wary of strangers, and will often watch them closely from a distance, observe them for a while until he decides they aren't a threat and won't be dangerous to him or his loved ones. Adela tries his best to control the aggressivenes he inherited from his parents, and usually does well to keep it udner control. But, at times when he is most furious or frightened, he can erupt in anger and lose all control.
History:Adela was born to be a fighter. His parents were both dogs used in illegal and brutal dog fights. They're owner had won quite a few fights using them, and earned a large amount of money from them as well. He bred them together, hoping for a litter of pups that would be even better fighters due to the combined genes of their parents. He was successful, for the most part. He succeeded in producing a litter of pups that were aggressive, large, quick, and intelligent, but there were only three pups in the litter. He had been hoping to keep two to use in fights, as their parents were getting too old to fight, and sell the rest to other dog fighters. He had expected to have at least five pups, so only three was something he was rather unhappy about. As the pups aged, he watched them carefully to choose which ones had the best dog fighting traits. He soon found that Adela was the least bold of the pups, as well as the smallest. So, he decided to use him as a bait dog, to use him to train the other two into aggressive, bold, and unhesitant fighting dogs. By the time the dogs were a year old, Adela's siblings were violent, aggressive, and confident fighters, and Adela was close to death from being used for them to attack. One day, just as a fight was being prepared, police broke in and arrested all the criminals conducting dog fights in the house, confiscating all the dogs. They discovered the nearly-dead Adela lying weak and bloody in his small, dirty pen. Although the majority of the dogs used there were dubbed too dangerous to be adopted, Adela was found to be far less aggressive, and much more friendly towards people and dogs. He was treated for his injuries and taken to a shelter made specifically for rehibilitating dog fight victims. After a few months, Adela was healthy and ready to be adopted. He was adopted by a family that owned a few oter dogs, which he soon befriended, and he became a happy and loyal family dog. Still, tthe scars of his past remain with him both mentally and physically, no matter how much he tries to forget. Having a loving family has helped, but he fears he may never get over his horrific first year of life.
