I'm very curious, and I'd like to know for future character adoption forms.

You actually wrote about the Tracker's personality instead of simply summing up some traits. That, and your story mixed with the poem was very pleasing to read.

Tracker Dog #67 I Available until September 13
Gender: Male
A new Tracker. Stronger, larger and faster than any other Tracker. He's cocky, wild and he might be harder to handle. The small set of arms can easily be moved, even to the side, to greet someone or grab a small item. He can be used in any environment and for any task, and he'll gladly accept any challenge. He has much better hearing than the average Tracker and his longer nasal sensor suggest better sense of smell. Fear can easily be detected by him, which might make him agressive. Treat him with respect and he'll be a partner like no other. Depending on your weight, you might even be able to ride him.

[[
Tracker Dog you want:
]]

Number Sixty-Seven ~ #67

[[
Name you'll give it:
]]

Detect

[[
Reason for the given name:
]]

I chose the name Detect for a number of reasons. Discovery is one of them, the more closer your bond is to this Tracker, you will discover many more attributes then what first meets the eye. 'Detect' simply means 'to find' or 'to uncover'. I feel, although the name may be simple, even the smallest word can speak volumes to those who are willing to listen.

[[
Reason why you want it:
]]

The Tracker Dogs are beautiful and amazing. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this batch of Trackers. I just fell in love with this Tracker when I laid my eyes upon it, I just knew this was the one for me, I just knew straight away. I haven't gotten a Tracker yet, I have been waiting for the one I felt a connection too. That time has come. I know this is the one for me, I feel a connection with this amazing Tracker Dog.

[[
Will it be used in any kind of story?
]]

Of course! This Tracker is amazing and just has to be in a story, I would be honoured to be able to win this Tracker and write a story for him. He would be absolutely perfect in a story <3

[[
Describe its personality:
]]

Detect has a wild side, he will be arrogant to those who he feels do not belong with him. He has high expectations about his human partner, Detect decides if the human is worthy of his presence. He will deeply respect his partner and will be extremely reliable to them, the bond will run deep and full of trust. If he senses the human is fearful of him, he will growl and be slightly agressive towards them, watching their reactions carefully. You must trust in this Tracker, or you will never gain his respect and you will never see his true potential.

~D~
The 'D' stands for Dependable. Even though Detect is wild, you can depend upon him. It may not seem likely at first glance, but you have to look deeper to discover hidden characteristics. You must gain his trust and then, only then will you see what your eyes had hidden from you. Pay close attention, for you will see things you never saw before...

~E~
The 'E' stands for Enthusiastic, despite being cocky Detect will have his mind firmly on the task at hand. He is willing and always accepts a challenge, being enthusiastic the harder the task is, never underestimate him.

~T~
The 'T' stands for Trustworthy. Once Detect feels the bond himself, he will always be there for you. He does like to be difficult at times, but if you respect him, he will respect you back. He is definitely a great partner, just trust him. There is nothing without trust.

~E~
The 'E' stands for Efficient. During any mission, he will calculate the possible event in his head and take the right action based on his decisions. He will expect his partner to trust and follow his actions. He also expects them to read his movements with accurate precision.

~C~
The 'C' stands for Cunning. He also uses his intelligence to compliment his cunning ability. He is quick-thinking and it makes him even more capable at new missions. If there's a will, there's a way...

~T~
The 'T' stands for Talented. As a new Tracker, he is extremely talented. He can work in any area and will excel in his missions. He can use his enhanced hearing and sensors on his nose simultaneously to complete the mission quicker and with more precision.

[[
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
]]

I sat there, all alone. A mere outsider in the world, I didn't belong anywhere anymore, I had just given up. I had fought too many battles, I had lost everything, I now have no place to go. The rain pounded against the ground, my eyes searching in the distance for anything.. anything at all. I wrapped my arms around my knees and buried my head, wanting to forget about this cruel world. A single tear escaped my eyes, dropping to the ground with the rain and vanishing before I could even see it. I let my mind go completely blank as I finally gave in to what I had become. Something told me to deny everything, as if an ice-cold hand tugged at my heart, trying to pull me back into the past. Back to the day that changed my life. I knew it was my fault, there was no going back now. Wiping the tears and rain from my face I stood up, a faint sensation willing me on as if to give me courage and strength. The only thing I had now was hope. I held my arms at my side, walking nowhere of any value to me. The rain had just gotten worse, the dark clouds looming over head becoming ominously closer, as if to pull me in. Looking up I felt the rain fall, every drop feeling like small, endless tears. My tears. I stood still, silently gazing at this one building which was giving off some light. I took a few steps towards it, as I got closer I recognised that it seemed like a lab. With a small tilt of my head my hand touched the door, before I opened it I ran my fingers across it, feeling the smooth curves and coldness of the metal door in front of me. By this time, I was soaked with rain. I then looked back over my shoulder, the bleak and dismal clouds remained, I could hardly see a few feet into the distance. My clothes seemed to be the only splash of colour, along with the lab. The rain fell silent, as if giving me a warning. Again, I saw my breath hang in the frozen air, as if time had stopped and I had forgotten everything. A blink of my eyes brought everything back to me, back to reality. It felt as if time was moving, but I was still. It felt like time had forgotten me altogether. My heart beat quickened as my hand glided down the door and towards the handle.

The door creaked open, the noise splitting the silence around me. I could hear my own heart beat, the only sound I could hear. I thought the noise must have triggered something, but I couldn't see anything. I finally plucked up the courage to step inside and silently close the door behind me, a loud 'click' sounded as I shut it. My eyes darted wildly around the room, hardly any lighting at all, not that it mattered to me anymore. No colours were visible to me, everything seemed dark in colour, almost natural, blending in with the surroundings. I crept around the room, too afraid to make a noise, my eyes taking in everything, every detail, every item. I blinked to ajust to the light, seeing two doors either side of the room. Looking up at one, I saw a plaque reading 'Tracker Dog Compound' above it. Carefully and quietly I pressed my ear to the door, hardly hearing any sounds at all. I stepped back and saw lights through the gaps of the other door. My hand reached for handle and softly opened it, seeing a hall of some kind. I ran silently behind the the back row of chairs, my eyes peeking just over the top. I saw the curtains twitch and a human walk out, in the crowd I heard whispers, "Nexivyle.." the name played over in my head before I spotted what must have been her companion. It looked like a sort of canine, only I could tell it wasn't. Suddenly Nexivyle's voice rang across the room before I even had time to think,

"Series 20.. It's nearing completion. Everyone doubted me, said I couldn't pull off such marvelous creations, but I'll prove them wrong! I'll create marvels of science which'll shock even the most sceptic of scientists. Even with the limitations that are the Tracker Dogs' true form, I'll show everyone who's the true scientist around here! Oh, yes, this alien shall show everyone the true meaning of genetic manipulation. Restricted to functionality, stopped by species, rivaled by known shapes and halted by fear, all these things cannot stop me from proving that I'm more than someone that makes dogs. I am not someone that plays with nature, I improve it! I shall show everyone how far these Tracker Dogs can go to complete their tasks. I am Nexivyle Ta'ar, and I will make you tremble in fear and shiver in delight at the exact same time upon seeing my final series!"

My heart started to pound in my chest as her companion growled at the crowd, "That must be a Tracker Dog." I whispered in an extremely quiet voice to myself. I soon came to my senses, shaking myself out of my daydream as I could see some of the crowd starting to move. I ran out of the door as quick as I could, hoping that nobody would notice me. My breathing quickened as I looked back at the door with the plaque above it. I took a deep breath and opened the door, taking small steps inside my eyes started searching around the room and seeing what must have been Nexivyle's Final Series, Series 20. These must be the Tracker Dogs, the Final and most improved Series.

I just couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at them. I looked at each Tracker Dog and saw the amazing species that they were. I came to the last and knelt down, my fingers reaching out towards it. I saw it's brown coloured coat, lighter underneath and darker on top with white markings too. As the two brown colours met I could see little dapples near them. I loved the beautiful marking on it's face as the colours worked perfectly together. I stood, watching this amazing Tracker Dog, hardly daring to believe my eyes. It snapped at me with a growl, however, I wasn't afraid of this one. I instantly felt a connection with it and held my hand out to the Tracker. It seemed to be the largest out of them and I noticed that it seemed to have two small arms just behind it's front legs. It took a sniff of my hand and I could see it had sensors and quite a long tongue, just like the others. Only, the sensors were longer then the other Trackers and I could see the tongue was also. I saw a small label reading;

Tracker Dog #67
Gender: Male
A new Tracker. Stronger, larger and faster than any other Tracker. He's cocky, wild and he might be harder to handle. The small set of arms can easily be moved, even to the side, to greet someone or grab a small item. He can be used in any environment and for any task, and he'll gladly accept any challenge. Treat him with respect and he'll be a partner like no other. Depending on your weight, you might even be able to ride him.

My heart jumped as I read his description. Then, then I knew he was the one for me. I stood up and looked around before letting him out. He snarled, still unsure of me. I placed my hand on his head and he kicked his back legs on the ground, so I took my hand away just in case. It almost looked as if he was smiling in a sly way. He held his head high and walked around me in a circle with a growl in his throat, his green and red-tipped tongue glistening. The two small arms reached out and took my hand, as if he was trying to say hello. I smiled. I smiled for the first time in a long while. A true smile as I rubbed his head, watching him take everything in about me. His ears flicking back and forth as he listened for the slightest movement. I looked back over at his description and it didn't have a name, just a number. This Tracker, I could see a fire in his soul and I knew he would be unpredictable. I was ready for him. I felt as if I had found someone. I heard his growl fade as he seemed to be used to my presence. I looked at his white markings along with his brown fur. The beautiful markings on his face, but I didn't like him just for his markings. I liked him for who he was inside, his markings were a bonus for me. I saw his red tufts of fur on his neck and legs, he was simply amazing. I felt a bond already forming. I knew this was my companion. My Tracker Dog companion and partner, Detect.

Nightmare has a very deep bark, excellent for scaring his enemies. His hearing and sense of smell is amazing, and he is very fast.

Username: Wolves Run Free
Tracker Dog you want: #67

Name you'll give it: Nightmare
Gender: Male
Age: Around a year
Height: Around 120 centimeters
Weight: 214 pounds

Reason why you want it:

At first I was drawn to 62. I mean, magic always made me excited, so it only made sense. But 67 kept catching my eye. I don’t really like zombies or skulls, so I suspected the feeling was pass… but it didn’t. Also, this is one of the more simple designs I have seen. So why do I feel so crazy about him? I guess it's because I love the tough-but-sweet attitude that he has, and how different he is then all the others. Another reason is I have loved Tracker Dogs since the first time I ever saw one, and have been unable to find my perfect dream one. If I get Nightmare, he will be my first Tracker Dog, and I will love him to death if I get him. :lol: I like to draw my characters, and I have found that his mane is so amazingly fun to draw. His markings are easy to remember for me, so I don't need to look at a reference every time I draw him. I have seen so many amazing forms for 67, and hope that he will be mine.

Will it be used in any kind of story?

Yes. I am a big writer, so he will be the star in many, many stories. I have had a plan for a Tracker Dog to star in for months, and he will fit right in.

Describe its personality:

Nightmare is aggressive, loyal, competitive, cocky, proud, dominant

Nightmare is not really mean, but his emotions can get the best of him. If he smells fear, he becomes very aggressive, understanding that he is on the top of the world, and likes it that way. In games, he is very rough when he plays, and so be warned before you do that! He loves a good competition, and will always try to win... even when he sometimes plays dirty. In fights, he will always attack without a thought of his own safety, even when he sometimes can get very hurt. When he gets frustrated, it takes a long time to get rid of the steam. If he has a grudge he will remember it for years to come. He is on the quiet side most of the time, and tries to say as few words as he can. He normally keeps a cool personality. He is very mean sometimes, to the point of even being a bully, but he is very loyal to those he loves, and can show his soft side to them as well.

Likes:

Competitions, winning, loyalty, being in a forest or large area, running, sports, being feared, sleeping under the stars, meat, wind

Dislikes:

Losing, being betrayed, cats, most other species than canines, being tamed, annoying creatures

Habits:

Acting aggressive, rubbing extra hands together

Write an introduction for your Tracker:

Where am I...?

I felt like I was floating, but I couldn't hear anything except my own beating heart, and a soft murmuring outside of my hearing. I struggled, clawing feebly around me. My movements were slow, and I felt weak. I sniffed, and started to gag, smelling this goo that was all around me... I started to make a blurry picture around me, made of faded grays. Apparently I was in some sort of tank? I felt dizzy all of a sudden, and felt myself fall back into a deep sleep.

"Wake up, 67. Wake up and see the new world that you will grow to love... or hate."

My ears twitched, and I opened my mouth to greedily suck in air. I struggled to get up, my legs buckling under me. I felt a hand stroke my mane, and I steadied myself. I shivered, and turned to face the green object that I wasn't quite sure what it was.

"Come this way." It turned and walked away, and I struggled to run after it.

I was led to a pen, and heard the door creak shut. I hesitated- what now? I felt tired again, and let myself flop over, my extra hands breaking my fall. Soon I was asleep.

~~~
The sun warmed my fur, and I sat, panting, under the sun. It had been almost a year since I had waked up. From afar, I bet you would would think it was an odd sight. I mean, I look different than other Tracker dogs. I have a skull-like marking on my face, and an extra set of arms. Fiery red fur is on my neck, and I am sort of big. That, and, compared to a normal dog, I have no eyes. The only way you could tell I was looking around right now... is how my ear's are pressed forward. I was waiting for someone, who had promised to meet me here today. I had never met them before, and wondered what they were like. I sniffed the air, tracking the green organic shaped of the meadow I was in. A movement made my head turn to the left; was it them? The could smell it was a wolf- it smelled of the sea, and it's fur was dripping with wet, as I could her the water fall onto the ground. It walked towards me, trying to look graceful but I could hear when she tripped. I stood up, and ran to meet them. I skidded to a halt, panting, and noticed that I was a head taller than her.
The wolf's head tilted up. "Your are Nightmare?" She said, her voice soft and almost sounded like running water.
"Yes. Who?"
The wolf danced to the side. "I'm Aqua."
....Aqua. A fairly common name and species. So why did my fur feel like it was burning when she was near? "What do you want?"
"I was just going to offer to let you come to my forest. You don't like the lab where you live, do you?" Aqua said.
"It's okay, but a forest does sound cool."
"Great. I will see you soon, then."
I shivered, and could hear her walk away. I shook my head, and raced back to the labs. I was not even out of breath when I raced in, throwing dirt everywhere. "Hey!" Another Tracker Dog growled. "Watch it!"
"Sorry." Nightmare sneered. "I didn't know you cared."
The other Tracker dog growled, and started to walk away. "Oh, and the tests came in. You can go to the top labs with me." He doesn't sound happy about that...
Then he flinched. But what about the forest? It should have been an honor, but now... now he didn't want to go.
"No thanks." I snapped.
The Tracker paused- I heard his breathing stop for a moment, and then continue. "What do you mean, no thanks? Is this some kind of joke?"
"No." I growled in annoyance, flattening my ears. "It isn't a joke."
"But-"
"I SAID NO!" I snarled angrily, leaping at him. I could smell his surprise, and he flinched when I landed on him. I raked his ears, holding him with my extra arms.
"Okay! Okay!" He yelped, submitting. I leaped off him, and walked away. "Serves you right."
That night I couldn't go to sleep. My bed felt scratchy and hard even though it was a soft dog bed. I kept thinking about my options. Forest seemed the most likely- but was I up to it? I loved the forest... but have never stayed their for more than a day or two.
"What do I do?" I muttered, feeling a little confused.
I turned over, and then sat up- it was no use. I couldn't go to sleep. I decided to go for a run. A long one should clear my head. I leaped over the fence that separated my cage from the other ones. Setting off at a brisk trot, I raced outside. The night air was cool, and the vibrant green shaped whirled past. I ran for hours, feeling like I would never stop. I no longer tried to listen for sounds, preferring to run to who knows where and find my way back home. And then I ran into someone.
"Watch it!" I snapped.
"Sorry Nightmare. You were too fast for me."
Wait a moment... I sniffed the air. "Aqua? No way." I grunted.
"I'm here aren't I? How is that a no way?" She said cheekily.
"Here is where?" I replied.
"Didn't you know? I thought you had come to see the forest." Aqua said disappointedly.
"The... forest you live in?" Nightmare looked around, noticing a forest a little ways off. "Why are you miles away from it in the middle of the night?"
"I came for a drink. And you are even farther than me." Aqua pointed out.
"I couldn't sleep."
"Hm... well, nice talking to you. Goodnight." Aqua started to walk away.
Nightmare hesitated. "Wait!"
"What is it?'
"Can I see the forest later?"
"Sure. See you here in two days, around sun high."
The two days passed slowly, and soon I was racing back through the forest. Unlike last time, the sun was boiling hot, and sweat dripped down my neck and down my fur. I padded into the shade of the first few trees, and smelled Aqua. My ears pricked, and I swiveled my head to listen around.
"Over here." Aqua called, running towards me. I smelled water on her, and noticed a river behind her, the gray water spilling around the stone.
"Were you swimming?" I asked suspiciously.
"Is that a crime? It's hot out, Hawk." She said.
"Hawk?" I asked.
"You know? Mohawk, Hawk?" Aqua said.
I flicked my ears. "Nice."
Aqua's green shape hopped to the side, and she murmured, "Come on." She said softly.
"Fine." I replied evenly.
She started walking away, the grass rustling around he paws. I leaped after her, easily keeping pace.
After a while, I realized this would take forever. "Can't you go faster? This will take all day!"
"I can't run fast." Aqua said flatly.
"You can ride on me," I suggested after a moment. "I'm big enough."
Aqua paused. "I don't know..."
"Please?" I said hopefully.
"...Fine..."
I crouched down and felt her scramble up, and then I leaped up and shot forward. The wind tore at my fur, and the forest seemed like a crash course. My tongue was flapping in the wind, and I was delighted. Claws were sinking into my back, and I heard Aqua yell something that sounded like slow. Did she want faster? I sped up, and leaped over a stream, and skidding to a halt. "Was that good?" I asked.
"Didn't you here me say stop?" Aqua moaned, falling off.
"No, did you?"
"YES, feather-brain!"
"Sorry."
I rubbed my hands together, and shrugged away the doubt that clouded my mind. Despite our differences, I felt the warm feeling return. What did that mean? I had never heard of a feeling like this. Fear, envy, hate... those are what I really knew.
I turned away. This was wrong. I should stop thinking like this.
"What's wrong? Repenting your fast ways?" Aqua joked.
"It's nothing. I should get going."
"Why?"
"I just have to go."
I headed back to where I came in, brushing aside any unwelcome thoughts. I had to go. I tried to ignore the hurt I heard in Aqua's voice.
I raced back, but instead of clearing my head, I realized that it made it worse. It started to rain , water splashing down and soaking my fur. I arrived wet, with thunder roaring behind me. I padded into my bad. And curled up, tired.
When I woke up, I didn't understand what woke me up. My heart was beating fast, and something was here, in the dark. Of course, the dark didn't matter to me. "Aqua?'
"Yes?" She asked, appearing.
I got up, and walked over to her. "Why are you here?
"I want to know if you what to live in the forest. You didn't seem that happy today." Aqua murmured.
I hesitated- was that love I was feeling? I didn't think Tracker Dogs had love. "Yes," I murmured. "I want to."
Story stops here, but I will finish it when Nightmare is on my characters page ^^
Meaning
A deus ex machina means correctly "god out of the machine" and is a plot device whereby a seemingly inextricable problem is suddenly and abruptly solved with the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability, or object. The origin was in ancient Greek, where, at the theater, a machinery transports the gods onto the stage, named deus ex machina.
Today, this designation is often be used at the clockwork and steampunk scene.
How did you come up with the name?
The name sounds big, majestic and really cool, I think. That it´s today part of the Steampunkscene, was a besides effect. I love the name since I heard it for a few years and now it is the time to work with. It´s meaning works perfect with the story around her. A very exclusive name for a somewhat different application. It fits!
His current partner, and other people and Tracker Dogs that he seems to be closer to, often refer to him using words such as ‘Beast’ or ‘Animal’ or a name to do with his personality or the current activity.
Being as thick as he is, ‘Beast’ prefers to be called #17 since he forgets his other ‘names’ and can only tell if they’re talking to him if he is looking at them and their tone of voice.
Reason why you want him:
From the very second I knew this was going to be your last series, I knew I just had to get one last design from you, I think my mind was made when you mentioned that there was going to be a new, one-of-a-kind, Tracker Dog species and jumped for it. The WIPs/Sneak-peeks you posted on the Tracker Forums got my attention on this little boy again; I adored how he appeared to be a much more advanced version of the Tracker Dogs and his extra limbs.
As soon as I thought more and more about this Tracker, a story formed in my head. Though for that story I needed him to be a male and cocky, and fell in love with the fact that the information tag that came along with him suited everything I needed. I adore cocky and stubborn characters like him; his personality would be a hell of a lot of fun to incorporate into any story…or more so the comic I shall hopefully be able to start working on later this year.
The design is engulfing, I adore the speckled brown along his back and neck, the skull-like marking on his face and how the ‘teeth’ continue on to the lower jaw, the long, red fur on his legs and neck and the crimson-tipped tongue. I adore his anatomy: the long ears and muzzle, the leaner legs, thinner body and that thick neck. Those aspects made me fall in love with his visual design.
He suites the basis of my comic’s story so well, the mystery of the organisation behind the Exo-Skeletons and their machinery. I can already see how his unique cells and genes can help my imaginary organisation create the perfect weapon for war. (In the comic and Tracker Dog’s world of course.)
It would be a great honour if I received this gorgeous beast, and I would forever love and treasure him.
Will he be used in any kind of story?
Absolutely, though it may take some time since I’m fairly slow at making even small comics. And this one definitely won’t be small.
Describe his personality:
Self-Righteous.
#17 is very thick-headed, ignorant and obnoxious, pretty much the average head of the popular group…only thing; he isn’t popular. Most other Tracker Dogs prefer to keep away from him because of his size, his abilities and his demanding demeanour.
#17 likes to flaunt his improved abilities, and his little arms, to the other Trackers. Even though he isn’t of equal match to Trackers such as Tiyagar and Firefly, #17 still thinks he is better than everyone else, including the scientists at the labs.
#17 isn’t a very smart animal; he wouldn’t know what to do unless told. Proven that he is more suited for exploits with a human or a Tracker Dog that remembers the way back to the labs. #17 also loves getting a challenge; he knows he would always win. And when he does, he is sure to flaunt that around as well, up until his next victory.
#17 is known for his cockiness, being rude to others by dismissing or ignoring them deliberately. He gets into trouble a lot with the scientists and, being ignorant, doesn’t understand the fact that he must listen to them. #17 believes the only person he should ever listen to is his creator, Nex, and since she left almost straight after he was born; #17 is absolutely certain that she left him with the Tracker Dog Organisation under his control, obviously.
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
I felt the wet, tingly sensation that rippled throughout my body. I allowed my senses to opened, slowly, and explore this unusual world. Frantically, I tried to figure out where I was, what I was, who I was. Everything seemed to be glazed over, my movements were restricted and I could barely pick up a scent or noise. I could feel some sort of creature standing on the outside of my world; staring at me. Everything seemed so slow, as if a liquid was engulfing me and dragging me into a whole new state.
Giving up on getting out of this strange containment, I resided to figure out what was on the outside of my world. Pressing my nose against the glass; More creatures, I thought, Funny shapes, big, small, thin, fat. I was able to define them more clearly now, my senses more accurate. A lot of them seemed as if they stopped and stared at me, others went around looking at similar containers that were filled with the same green ooze as mine was. Sometimes I could make out noises from the outside world.
*fizz*
I woke up with a start and a jolted back, the liquid was being emptied so I had enough freedom to hit my head on the glass, hard. I gave a silent bark in…whatever I was feeling. What was this unusual punishment sprouting from the back of my head? It hurt.
I felt my feet drop to the floor; I heard new sounds, smelt new smells, was this my world? I was amazed at this new, clean world. It took a while for my senses to adjust to the sudden exposure of this white world, but I was keen on bringing everything in. There were two figures before me, the one closest to me was tall and had some material wrapped around it. Next to the tall one was a four-legged creature like me. Curiosity got to the better of me; I approached this animal, I wanted to ask it where I was and what I was. Lifting up my head, I towered above it. “These will be my last creations.” I looked up, the tall figure, who I had later come to know as Nex, boomed. The audience of strange figures murmured amongst each other, I picked up the word ‘others’. Others…? I thought as I twisted my neck to left. There were six other animals like me, each different yet the same: There was a little, black creature with six bright eyes, a furry creature that’s scent and figure was misted over with an unusual substance, a large, scary animal that grinned sheepishly at me, a creature with two large wings and a sort of mechanic strung on her head, an undead monster whose large neck-mouth opened up at the gawkers in the crowd and a gorgeous creature with clockwork mechanics along her body.
I had noticed that the others seemed to be moving strangely, as if showing themselves off to the crowd; I just stood there. Eventually Nex noticed that I hadn’t followed the other Trackers, who had already wondered through the crowd to begin their own lives and make history.
Nex signalled at me with a whistle and I walked up to her, then spoke briefly with the human next to her, who collared me and dragged me off to follow the others. Why are you keeping me from my creator?! I barked at the human.
I was brought outside, where a lot of the people seemed to be gathering around a large wooden stage. The tall figure and her Tracker companion stood on the stage, accompanied by four humans and some other Tracker dogs. I was brought on to another stage, alongside with the six Trackers from before. Nex talked for a very long time, then there was an applause then she went away from my senses. I panicked a little; my creator had vanished from my reach. Why did she leave me?
~
A little over a week had passed; slowly the other six Tracker Dogs went away. I didn’t like that. My creator had left me. I didn’t like that either. I didn’t know that people wanted me at the time; but I was kept away from prying eyes. I didn’t know why, I wanted to show off and be adopted into the military or maybe the Navy! The life that would be.
Quite often other Trackers challenged me, I always won. No one could ever beat me! And I had to let everyone know so by taking control over what my creator had left behind. …that’s probably why I was locked up. I thought to myself, grimacing. That definitely would’ve brought down the amount of people wanting me; no one wants a Tracker with a bad record.
~
I was walking alone through the dark, clean corridors of the labs; I had been forced back inside for picking another fight. Faint noises floated down through the darkness, I flicked my ears and jolted forward. I’ll get them to bask in my glow! I ran towards the noises and almost burst through the door when there was a shout. “-but she can’t! Everything will crumble down if you allow it!” It was responded to with the muffled sounds like someone speaking over the phone.
I pressed my ear up against the door and kept my hand on the handle. *click* The phone call ended. I opened up the door slightly; inside there was a human figure and a female aquatic Tracker. From the content sounds that the Tracker was making I guessed she must have been asleep. I switched my attention to the human female; she seemed to be using one of the mechanics that are around the Tracker Dog labs. “So this is the latest design? Doesn’t look like much…” She said aloud, “But she- Swaya? Swaya wake up!” The Aquatic Tracker called Swaya lazily raised her head to her partner and grunted in response, “Uh, she said that it won’t be like that other trial, something more on the defensive side. And Trial 1’s information has started to come in; we should sort through that later. …Swaya?” The Tracker shook her head to show her companion that she was awake. I sat down and listened more intently, I wondered what they were talking about. I opened the door a little more when it creaked loudly. I was suddenly tackled by a powerful force; I felt the heat of a living creature mixed with the coldness of a machine against my skin.
~
I awoke due to the constant shaking of a truck on a rocky road. I couldn’t tell how long I had been out cold, I didn’t know where I was and I didn’t notice the strangers that surrounded me. None of this mattered at the time; I was too busy being focused on something else. How was I knocked out so easily?! I’m the strongest there is! I thought aloud to myself. Maybe it’s because you’re weak in mind? You’re still young for a Tracker, though I expected more of a fight. The statement was followed by a shallow laugh, whipping my head around; I picked up the scent of the Aquatic Tracker Swaya. Aren’t you that finned beast called Swaya? I replied blatantly, trying to cover up my increasing anger. That’s Number 2 to you, 17. I tilted my head in confusion. What were these numbers? Were they names? I didn’t like ‘17’; I should be Number 1. Foolish boy, I don’t see what they want with someone as weak-minded as you. I was about to give my snarky reply when I was shushed by the female from before.
~
I came back to consciousness, lying on soft, lush grass. I was in a garden filled with gorgeous flowers and stone decorations. I felt the cold wind blow right through me, chilling me. I assumed that I must have been in a high place, a mountain region? Maybe. I absorbed the wondrous scents that surrounded me, the colours they brought were mind-blowing. I just adored it here. “Are you my present?” A small human bounced up to me, she was a younger version of the humans I had encountered. I think these things are called…‘children’? I at the child, even sitting I was still slightly taller than her. “Oh, you must be!” She announced, swinging her arms around my neck. She told me how I was going to be treated and what she’ll do for me and about the life I would have.
I was finally getting the luxury I deserved. “…I better introduce you to my other Trackers!” The little girl concluded. There are…others? I was slightly disappointed, no matter where I went I was always over-shadowed by another. Another adult human approached, she and the little girl exchanged some words then I was dragged off again. “I’ll see you soon, Beast!”
~
I was brought to a large sporting field. I could see a few other Trackers like me, and then there were creatures that possessed large machinery on their backs. They smelt and acted like Trackers, but they weren’t, it was weird and unnatural. I turned my focus back to where I was, there were Trackers I had never seen before, everything was new and strange. I was led up to one of the ‘trainers’, I immediately recognized the female human from before and Swaya. I wanted to ask her what and where I was, but was distracted by the loud sirens.
They were to signal an assembly, but I was taken elsewhere. I was put into another lab; this one had more machines and computers then the one I was created in. I was brought to a large stand where my measurements were taken. A few weeks later I was partnered with that girls older brother and I had a machine of my very own.
It's a little shorter than it was originally, since I had to cut out a few parts, but I hope it's still worthy of this monstrous boy. c:
Good luck to everyone applying for #67!
When is 66 going to be voted? Is it going to be on the 14?
Thanks.
im basically never on, so if you wanna with trade me or if you message me, be prepared to wait a while for a response. this account is first and foremost a personal archive for sentimentality's sake as it was a big part of my childhood.
