Tracker Dog #80 I Available until 16th
Gender: Male
A rather large Tracker, towering even above the largest standard canines. He measures at 115cm from paw to shoulder. He takes pride in his size and strength. He was made to accompany skydivers, stunt pilots and other daredevils in the sky, yet isn't bound to this alone. Any job would suit him, as long as he has plenty of room. This canine demands a strong and active owner whom isn't afraid of a challenge.

Tracker Dog you want:
Tracker 0080; #80
Name you'll give it:
Sankhyā Āśi
"Sahnk-yah ah-see"
In Bengali, it translates to "Number Eighty".
He goes by Āśi for short.
Care:
Being an aerial, his fur is a medium thickness in summer, but can get thick in the winter; this protects him from the high-altitude chill he may experience when flying. His coat only requires brushing in the fall & spring, and supplemental brushing during the summer. It is not suggested during the winter because it could remove the oils that make his coat a better insulator. Overbrushing in the summer could cause the loss of oils as well; twice a week would keep him from becoming overheated, as well as access to a shady or air-conditioned area. Every other day the membranes of his 'wings' need to be cleaned gently with a damp cloth to remove dust and debris, so it won't hinder his flight. Sometimes it may need to be cleaned more often.
He needs innoculations every fall, as well as preventative for heartworms during the spring, summer, & fall. During the winter it becomes too cold for mosquitoes to survive so there's no need. Preventative for hookworms and roundworms in the spring is optional.
Interests:
.Flying
.Skydiving

*Night
*Quiet
*Fireworks
*Snow and cold weather
*Fall and the changing of the leaves
*The open wilderness
*Working the night shift in the city
*Nickelback. Pretty much the only band he listens to.
*Lightning and rain, as long as he isn't flying in the storm.
Dislikes:
'Loud, sudden noises, like gunfire. He can deal with it, but if he doesn't have to listen he won't. Fireworks are an exception.
'Blood; he just hates the sight and scent of it as makes him sick.
'Heat and bright sunlight.
'Small dogs, such as chihuahuas and lhasa apso's. They get on his nerves.
'Rap and country music. Most music for that matter.
'Extrememly loud thunder; when a storm rolls around, Āśi gets his owner to either turn up the TV, put on his iPod, or put earplugs in Āśi's ears.
'Working day shift
Quirks:
*Being as he doesn't like country music and Arya's husband does, Āśi has learned how to turn the home stereo system off. This results in a constant battle between tracker and husband for control of the radio.
*Despite not having opposable thumbs, Āśi has learned how to make coffee using the brewer machine. He's very careful not to get saliva in it, but sometimes he just can't help it. But saliva or not, Arya is always grateful when she gets up and always rewards him.
Jobs
Off the Ranch Āśi is a hard-working police dog. He's one of the "midnight boys", keeping the streets safe in the dark hours before dawn. He wears a radio collar in which Arya is able to track him with. The collar also has on a microphone, and Āśi is to give three short barks when he's found something, whether it be a track, a speeding driver, or a crime down on the city streets.
On the Ranch Āśi loves to help with the cattle. Every evening he makes a patrol run, looking for any predators that might injure or kill the cattle, sheep, or pigs. During cattle drives he helps Arya's husband Alex herd the cattle and will fly over them and signal Alex for stragglers. All, of course, when's he isn't sleeping and getting ready for the night shift.
Reason why you want it:
I've really been looking forward to having a Tracker dog for a long time, and didn't manage to win last time. I was hoping for customs to open because Aerials are my favorite, and instead this guy comes along. I really didn't have an idea for what I want a tracker to look like, but he's just absolutely gorgeous. I love the gold stripes on his haunches <3
Will it be used in any kind of story?
Eventually he will be, once I get done with all my current works in progress. I might still make the mystery I had been planning when I saw the purple female stealth tracker, but with Āśi here instead. If I win him, of course. Āśi would be the lead dog of the patrol squadron, though with his highly sensitive scent receptor he would also make a great search dog. *fangirl moment*
Describe its personality:
Focused
Once he's got his eyes set on something, then he won't let it go. This makes him a great tracker and an amazing leader, and has only lost a few tracks that he's found.
Honest
He tells it like it is. Sometimes it will hurt your feelings, but he won't lie. He thinks it better that you can go ahead and alter your ways so that you won't make a fool of yourself or hurt yourself more later on.
Loyal
If you're good to him, then he's your right hand man. He'll protect you with his life if he has to; it's what he feels his purpose is. Protection to his handler and the cities' citizens.
Driven/Motivated
Born (or created, whichever ^^;) with an innate forward momentum, he's his own pep talk. No matter how much he wants to stop and rest, he absolutely won't until the job is done. He constantly seeks improvement in his skills, endurance, and agility, and loves to train. Abosolutely adores it.
Tenacious
Nothing short of death will stop him; most of the time injury won't either unless Arya stops him. No matter the situation or the outcome, this tracker just keeps moving forward like a soldier on march.
"One-Person Tracker"
If you aren't Arya, then most likely Āśi won't listen to you 100% of the time. Of course he has exceptions, but whatever Arya says, he does the first time he's told, immediately and correctly. He holds a strong bond with her, and she's the only one allowed to truly pet him. Though he does allow Alex and the ranch hands to pat him on the head or shoulder when they praise him for a good job done.
Patient
When one of the ranch hand's young children, or any young child for that matter, catches sight of him, most think he'd be agressive or unwilling to let them near him. But Āśi is the exact opposite: he actually loves kids. When it gets to be a little too much he'll look up at Arya to let her know, but for the most part he'll happily let children pet him. As long as they don't touch his wings.
Willing
He's always willing to take advice on how to improve or make himself more efficient. Just don't make it sound condescending. He hates that.
Overzealous
Sometimes he can become very overzealous, especially right before a chase. He's been known to bark and whine, pacing the back of the squad car until he's let off the chain, so to speak. One of his highs is to feel the adrenaline go as he runs down a suspect and catches him. For him, it's the best part of the job, even though it's dangerous.
His Handler
His handler in a 29 year old woman named Arya. Arya is a thin, woman with long, golden-brown hair and a perfected military bearing, but she also enjoys to smile and laugh with her colleagues and friends. She is a Lieutenant in the St. Paul Police Department K-9 Unit, and is very athletic & enjoys long runs to keep fit. Arya owns a house outside the city, a big track of land where her husband works as a cattle rancher. She travels 13 miles to get to the city. She herself is fiercly loyal and very persistent; she does not give up easily. During her free time she likes to run the trails on her ranch, kayak, hike, and skydive. This makes Āśi perfect for her. Arya also hunts and rides horses in her free time, which is critical for life on the ranch as they have cattle to move. A total of twelve people live on the ranch: Arya and her husband, 7 ranch hands, 2 of the ranch hands have wives that live with them on ranch property. The main ranch hand Johnny has a son that helps take care of the horses.
Write an introduction for your Tracker
Run.
The big Tracker's breath condensed in the cold night air. His legs ate up the concrete roof, crossing it easily with long strides.
It's coming closer.
Lean muscles tightened and relaxed underneath his grey and gold hide. This is what he was built for; this was his time in the spotlight.
Jump.
Suddenly the edge of the skyscraper was at his front paws. He gave a great leap, spreading his wings as the membranes caught the wind's updraft, searching for his target beneath him. There; the only human running, and against the grain at that, but he was still unsure. Was that his target? Looking back a little bit farther, he saw the heat signatures of two more people chasing the first. Yep, that was him. Tilting his wings he banked slightly left, he pointed his muzzle downwards and tucked his wings, gaining speed as he shot through the clouds like a bullet, straight for the first running figure. Luckily for him, the two chasing the man were moving him out of the crowds. Good. He'd be able to see him better. He tucked his wings farther as he sloped downwards, plumetting into lower and lower altitudes. This guy wouldn't get away again. Careful of hurting his wings, the Tracker flared them, quickly braking right before he hit the ground. His trajectory had been off, but at least he'd landed right behind the man; his front paws hit the ground and he immediately began running, tucking his wings without missing a beat.
"Get him!"
At the command Āśi bunched his muscles and leapt forward, sinking his teeth into the man's right arm and dragging him down. The two rolled for a moment, a brief rough and tumble before the assailant finally gave up. By then, Arya and her partner Ben had caught up to the two. Arya kept her gun pointed threateningly at the man as Ben reached forward and began to handcuff him. As soon as he was secured, Āśi released the man, took two steps back, and sat patiently, waiting on his next command.
"Jason A. Scott, you are under arrest and have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used against you in....."
Āśi let Ben's voice fade to the back of his mind. He looked up at Arya, watching her as she helped shove the criminal into the back of hers and Ben's squad car. The man got into the driver's seat of their shared squad car, nodding a goodbye to Arya as he drove off.
"Well, that's the end of our shift, boy," Arya said, turning to look at the male Tracker. Her eyes met his visual receptors, and she knew what he was waiting for. "Good job, Āśi," she praised him, the tracker's chest puffing out and his tail wagging slightly. "Hungry?" She asked, and he gave a short, deep bark as he stood and walked beside her. He needed no lead; on his good side, he followed commands obiendiently. On his downside, he only followed the commands that came from Arya. He had respect for very few others on the police force. And it wasn't that he was the stuck up, "I'm better than everyone" type; no, it was because he was different and no one respected him. He was the "big shot", the one who got high marks on everything. This was only because he focused on his job.
The two quietly padded to the local diner to grab their typical early morning burger. The sun was just beginning to peek over the skyline, chasing away the darkness and signalling for the St. Paul Police Department the coming change of shifts. As the two entered the old-time diner, the store having just opened, Āśi trotted over and leapt into his and Arya's usual booth in the back. Arya laughed and came to sit across from him. After a few moments a round, portly man with a pudgy face adorned by laugh lines came and set two burgers in front of them, Arya's with everything and Āśi's only a bun, the patty, and some mayonnaise. Āśi immediately delved into his, taking care not to make a mess and succeeding in his endeavor. Arya took her time, cutting the huge burger in half and fixing the other half exactly like Āśi's. As soon as he had finished his, she placed her second burger half on his plate as she finished her half. Āśi inhaled that portion too, licking his lips happily. After the two finished and sat for a few minutes, Arya talking and Āśi replying with short, low barks or silent nods/shakes of his head, the two stood. "Thanks Porky," Arya called, leaving a $10 bill on the table. The two then exited the diner, walking slowly and confidently back to the parking lot in which Arya's car sat waiting. She opened the door of the gold and black Camaro, the big male Tracker jumping into the passenger's seat as Arya sat in the driver's seat.
