Ever since emerging from the Oak Zaikrel and ΔnΕ£u considered each other friends, if not for their many similarities, joining the very same human was certainly a bonding force. Yet, they had their differences. For one, ΔnΕ£u loved exploring the world around, even if she always returned empty handed and, not rarely, wounded too. Zaikel, however, always prefered staying around their cozy home, that they build together with the help of their human. But of course, she kept nagging him to go, to see the world, and he kept refusing. That always mad her sad, which hurted Zaikrel more than he would ever admit.
That day, however, he changed his mind; he felt pity for his friend who was still recovering from her last journey and kept talking about exploring... yet that was nothing new. Something did draw him away, or rather towards the unknown. Even at the exploring grounds he walked in straight line... yes, something's there... wait... did it just whisper my name? That, we may never know but he ran back home with that odd figurine he just found. Ran, like never before. Ran to his human companion. And over all, he ran to ΔnΕ£u. Her smile was worth it all. Anything, to make her smile, he realized.
He gave the odd figurine to her. She didn't really want to accept, claiming that he found it and he must be the one who brings it to the Oak, but she finally gave in and grabbed the strange object. The wooden wolf might have called for him, but he found it for her. With that the trio headed towards the great tree. On their way there the human separated for some time and joined a bit later, now Khet following them in the distance. Right, he sighed, even now they refuse to come too close to us. Khet undoubtedly honored the bond they had with the human, but with anyone else... well, that'd be a miracle. But time was young.
Yet, when they stopped before the Oak even Khet closed up, understanding the importance of the moment. And with that ΔnΕ£u moved forth and gently placed the wooden wolf next to the great tree, then they all awaited whatever was about to happen.
