What will you use it for:

My characters are a part of pretty much everything I do. They're in my art, in my writing, all over my homework, in my dreams... there's hardly a moment in the day where I have my brain to myself. Eidolon... ze wouldn't be any different. Also, I already have a storyline set up around the paranormal that I think ze'd be perfect for.

Why do you want it:

Plain and simple, I love ghosts. I've been into the paranormal for over a decade, and I've found myself being more and more sensitive to the presence of spirits, often to the point of where they'll follow me around and affect me, but ignore everyone else around me. But it does go deeper than that; I already have a ghost-attributed character that I hold dear to me because he's like a talisman against negative energies. Eidolon, however, seems to lean more toward those mischievous spirits that make my lights flicker, make objects swing around me or make noises to distract me from whatever I'm doing. Certainly, right now he's distracting me from the fact that I have homework - I should be doing it instead of writing zis form!

Personality:

Eidol wants to be heard, first and foremost. Ze constantly feels as though ze is not heard or seen, and therefore makes a strong effort to call attention to zirself, even if all ze wants to do is attract looks zis way. Ze is a very accident-prone Cryst, often misjudging zis own size and knocking objects over or making a general mess. Ze is the cause for many reports concerning campground fires going out of control, small avalanches within and around his favorite part of the territory he inhabits, stray boulders coming loose and rolling down hills and various other disasters that can escalate from one tiny little misstep.

History:

Short of the long, Eidol was born for anonymity. Without a name, and abandoned by those that would have built zem an identity, ze named zirself in an attempt to find some sort of an identity, since ze barely connected with those still living, and could not identify zirself with the gender roles society had defined. Lacking these senses of identity... Eidol really doesn't know who or what ze is. Ze simply... is.

As ze was maturing, ze met the Gatherer of Souls - a dark deerlike creature by the name Artheas. He took zir in, teaching zem his ways, and leading Eidol down the path of assisting lost spirits to the land of the dead. Artheas, though, was cruel to the spirits he collected; he would scare and taunt them, gaining strength from their pain. Eidol... Eidol respected them. Ze knew that ze, too, would someday have to join them... and ze fears eternal torment.
